"Mixed Experience at Ivy Park Assisted Living Facility"
We were with Sunrise for four months and liked it, rating it 4-5. But since Ivy Park took over, things have been frustrating. It's taking them a long time to get things right. There's a lot of turnover in staff, especially in Memory Care, so sometimes there aren't enough caregivers who know what they're doing. The costs went up, and keeping things clean has been a challenge. But they're doing a good job in that area now. Everyone is friendly and caring, but there's still room for improvement. We even have to bring in extra help from Visiting Angels because we can't always rely on consistent care. Dad likes the food and there are plenty of activities, even though he's not interested in all of them. But for the level of care we're getting, it feels like we're paying too much. Overall, Dad is happy and safe, but we hope they sort out their staffing issues soon.

"Caring Community with Supportive Staff"
The community isn't perfect, but it's really nice and they'll help you take care of your loved ones. The medical staff in Memory care are LVNs, and their wellness team includes several nurses overseen by the Director.

"Shocking Neglect at Assisted Living Facility Ends in Tragedy"
At first, things seemed okay at this assisted living facility. But after a few weeks, everything changed for the worse. My loved one only got one shower during her whole stay. There were painful sores on her knees. She felt really sick and that's when I decided to call an ambulance. But the facility didn't want me to do that. When the ambulance workers got there, they found her temperature over 100 degrees. It was sepsis, that's what she had. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. The worst part was, the staff had no clue about it and I was never told anything. There were a couple of good workers, but most of them just sat around doing nothing. Whenever I tried to complain about some problem, they didn't pay any attention to it. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I don't recommend this place for memory care patients at all.

"Assisted Living with a Community Feel"
Sunrise of Pleasanton feels like a real community. Everyone—residents and staff alike—was super friendly. Our loved one is starting to make new friends, which makes us happy. Right now, she's not joining in the activities, but there seem to be lots of options. From what we've seen, we would definitely tell other families about our experience so far.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
This place was a great experience. Everyone was really helpful and tried to give us all the information we needed. Before choosing this community, we visited a couple of times. The staff were nice to us and always answered our questions and concerns well. Most of them seem to really care about their jobs. The food is a bit boring. It doesn't have much flavor and isn't very appealing. They don't have enough wait staff. They do laundry, cleaning, change linens, and provide transportation within 10 miles, plus three meals a day, all included in the monthly price. The community helps with medication, bathing, dressing, and hygiene if needed, with extra charges. Pricing depends on the level of care. When residents press the call button, staff come right away. There are nurses available 24/7.

"“Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Meals”"
For what it is, I suppose it’s okay. I think the nurses and how things run could be better, which would improve the whole community. Unfortunately, my family member dislikes the meals and barely eats them because they taste so awful.

"High Costs Limit Access: Great Facility Beyond Budget for Mom"
Sunrise seems like a really nice place, but $10,000 a month is too expensive for my mom's budget.
