"Mixed Feelings About Ivy Park Assisted Living"
Our family toured Ivy Park in person, but it felt overly focused on rules and COVID restrictions, lacking a homey atmosphere. Some family members weren't happy due to the restrictions. While safety is crucial, residents should feel comfortable. My Dad, who recently had COVID, would have been miserable. .

"Great tour, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and delicious food"
I went on a tour today, 4/4/18. I really liked what I saw. The women who gave me the tour were very nice. The room was great—spacious and clean. The place seemed friendly, and the food looked and smelled delicious. My mom would be happy and safe here, plus it’s closer to me.

"Expensive Assisted Living, Not for Mentally Sharp Younger Population"
If you're about 80 and heading towards needing mental help care, this facility is wonderful. But for anyone younger, who's fully aware of what's going on and can question the questionable food quality, staying here is impossible. Especially when you see how much they're asking for it.

"Consistent Caregivers in a Friendly Community"
Nice, not too big place. The staff was friendly. Seems like most of the people here need more care than my mom does now. The activities and things they offer might not be right for her. I did like that they have the same caregiver for each shift.

"Nice Place, but Not the Right Fit for My Mom"
This is a nice mid-sized place that feels like home. The people who work here are friendly. But, most residents here need more care than my mom does right now. The activities and stuff they have are mostly for people who need a lot of help. This may not be the right place for my mom at this moment. I do like how they keep the same caretaker with the same resident on each shift.

"Amazing care and comfort at Sunrise of Sacramento"
Sunrise of Sacramento is amazing. It's a beautiful place with really friendly and helpful staff. They took excellent care of my mom. When she moved in, someone was there to hang pictures, and they made sure my wife and I were comfortable during our stay. The manager was wonderful and upbeat, making a tough time easier for us. I'm grateful they had a room available, and my mother was able to pass away there peacefully and with dignity. Sunrise is fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

"Unable to provide consistent Respite care scheduling"
This place is really neat and the staff were super helpful in guiding me around. They gave a lot of info and took care of all my questions. But the issue was they couldn't provide regular Respite care. They couldn't fit me in on the dates I wanted because they were all filled up.

"Mom is happy with the care and the food!"
Mom really loves her new place. She's especially happy with the care she gets since she's mostly stuck in bed. The personal care has been really good in this first month. She even likes the food!

"Great care and food, but activities could improve"
I’m really happy with the care at this nice community. The staff is well-trained and helpful, always updating me on my parents’ progress. The food is excellent, and my parents enjoy it! They also like the weekly "field trips" around the area. The location is great—near shopping and restaurants and close to my home. However, besides the field trips, my parents aren’t too excited about the activities. I’ve visited many times and don’t often see many people involved in activities, which makes me think the staff might not ask residents much about what activities they want.

"A Great Place to Recommend!"
My stepmom stayed at Sunrise of Sacramento for a short respite care. The staff were nice and took care of a small medical issue. The main medical person stayed with her throughout the whole time. The food was tasty and healthy. She didn’t join any of the activities offered. The community is clean and well-maintained.

"Happy with Move-In and Activities, Minor Memory Care Issue"
The move-in process was easy. They offer many activities. My only concern is that they haven’t quite figured out how to help my loved one in the memory care unit yet, but overall I’m happy with them.

"Super welcoming and friendly"
They are super welcoming and friendly. I visit a few times a week, and my mom is doing great there. We were a bit nervous at first, but it turned out to be the best decision. I was really stressed about finding a good place for my mom, and this has been a huge relief. It's been an awesome experience.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Home Unsettles Visitor "
As soon as I walked into the assisted living facility, I had a hunch that things weren't going to work out. It felt disorganized and not really welcoming. I had arranged an appointment, but when I got there, no one was at the front desk. I was left stranded with residents pitching in to help. I had a chat with the marketing person, but she sidestepped my questions. She started answering and then suddenly switched the topic to their other programs - stuff that wasn't part of my question at all. On top of everything, they wouldn't let me check the contract ahead of my visit. They insisted I can only look at it when I'm about to sign, which didn't sit well with me.

"Excellent Value with Caring Staff at Sunrise of Sacramento!"
It’s a bit pricey, but we’re getting good value. The caregivers and staff are amazing. Moving can be tough for older people, but everyone here, from the executive director to the front desk person, really cares. I didn’t know how much difference a community could make until my mom moved to Sunrise of Sacramento. They really seem to hire people who care about older adults.
