"Community Closure and Director Issues"

We enjoyed the friendly people, community, and affordable price. Unfortunately, we left due to community closure. Our experience with the director was negative.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility with Numerous Problems"

This place has lots of problems. They don't have enough staff, which means they can't look after everyone properly. The shortage of staff also made the food bad. The building is really old, and they don't keep up with fixing things, especially plumbing and electrical problems. Because of this, the residents, like my grandfather, are often moved around. They also messed up my grandfather's laundry one time by giving his clothes to someone else by mistake. Honestly, I can't suggest anyone to come to this place.

"Friendly Staff, Limited Assistance"

Lovely people here. My loved one needed more help than we thought this community could offer.

"Homey Atmosphere and In-House Therapy Make It Great"

Parking is easy and it's simple to get in. They take good care with Covid precautions. The place looks nice, especially the patio. It's small and feels like home, with around 49 residents. I chose Terraza of Chevoit Hills because they offer in-house therapy.

"Assisted living facility fails to provide necessary dementia care"

Three months later, my mom departed in a hospice ambulance. They knew she had dementia but still took her in, even though they didn't have any memory care support. Daily, they phoned me asking me to get her, and they also kept inflating her required level of care.

"Residents Praise Atmosphere but Call for Improved Disability Care"

Terraza of Cheviot Hills has a really nice atmosphere and environment. However, I believe that the disabled residents need more attention and care from the staff members.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living with Furniture Flexibility"

This place is really tidy and the staff is super nice and ready to help. If you want different furniture than what they give you, you have to bring your own. Based on my time here, I would suggest this place to others.

"Consider Staffing and Care Challenges Before Choosing Terraza"

Terraza might be alright for some folks, but it simply wasn't a good fit for my mom and me. When my mom, who was in hospice, moved in there, things quickly went south. The assessment of her needs wasn't accurate and didn't benefit my mom or Terraza. Almost immediately, my mom's health deteriorated and the facility just couldn't handle her condition. After 16 days, we had to leave. I will say it's a tidy place with friendly staff who try their best to be positive. A few things to keep in mind: Terraza can host up to 80 people when it's full. They have about ten caregivers during the day and three at night. So if you or your loved one needs a lot of care continuously, this might not be the place for you. The food is decent. However, if you're bedridden or struggle to move around, you might have trouble getting the help you need in a timely manner. Be sure to do thorough research and look beyond just the tour. It might suit some people, but not us. Good luck!

"I Took a Tour!"

I visited Meridian of Cheviot Hills. The person showing us around was nice and gave us useful information. The place was tidy and well-maintained. Overall, it was a positive experience, but we had another community in mind that suited our preferences a bit more.

"Friendly Staff but Too Restrictive and Expensive for Me"

made sure I attended this tour. The director and assistant were kind and supportive. But, I felt that the facility was too limiting for me. I live a more free life than what the place could offer. Plus, it was pricier than what I can afford.

"Great Tour, But Limited Care"

I visited this community, and they acted very professional while giving me a tour.

"Mom is happy and comfortable here!"

Meridian of Cheviot has been great for my mom as a new resident. The staff is really nice and welcoming. Since moving in, she’s made friends and enjoys the atmosphere. She mentioned the food could be better, but it probably depends on personal taste. The most important thing is that she’s happy and seems to really like it there.

"Peaceful director, renovation chaos: a mixed assisted living experience."

I really liked this place and the person in charge was great, but the building itself is being fixed up to make it better, which is good because it needs it, but I wouldn't want to be there while they're doing all the noisy, dusty, smelly work that comes with construction.

"Friendly and Helpful"

They are super friendly and always answer our questions. My loved one has made lots of friends and enjoys playing cards and bingo. They are very helpful, and she really likes it there.

"Solid Overall Experience, Areas for Improvement Identified"

This place has been pretty good. They check in on my brother regularly, and the meals are tasty. Cleaning and laundry are done well too. But sometimes there's a bad smell they should fix. Also, they should move the smoking area away from the entrance.

"Very happy with this Meridian"

We are really happy with this Meridian. Everything is going pretty well. I checked out another Meridian, but it wasn’t as nice. I’m really glad we chose this one. He is super caring, helpful, and gets things done fast. Marlene is also wonderful. I feel like we’re in good hands here.

""Kind Boss, Average Rooms, Busy Street, Building Needs Repair""

Facility boss David was nice and supportive. The inside of the apartment was so-so, but the outside really needs some fixing up. Plus it's right on National, which is super noisy.

"Happy with Meridian Assisted Living; Aunt adjusting well"

My aunt hasn't joined any activities yet, so I can't rate those. She's only been there for two and a half months, but everything seems good. We're still getting used to it. I checked out five other places, but Meridian seemed the best.

"Great mix of location, cleanliness, cost, and friendliness"

I really like how close it is, how clean everything is, the cost, and how friendly everyone is (both the residents and the staff). There’s a good mix of people living here. The only downside is the rooms are a bit small. It’s my top pick.

"Friendly Director and Cozy Rooms"

The director was really nice and knew a lot. The rooms were clean, bright, and had nice decorations.
