"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short, Needs Better Communication"
I thought the place was nice, but the memory care unit's leader wasn't caring. The director was good though, and visited on weekends. They kicked my loved one out after a couple of days. They didn't specify everything they needed, making me run around. They refused to give medications because they didn't have the doctor's signature, even though they didn't ask for it. My loved one was difficult, but they should've told us upfront if they couldn't handle it.

"Great place with caring staff and adjustable care levels"
The Commons is a great place to live. The people are really nice and caring. They adjust the care based on what you need. I am very happy with this place.

"Caregivers very attentive and work well with me"
She's been there for only a month. It's a bit expensive. The meals are excellent and really stand out. Since it's assisted living, there’s no kitchen. My mom needs a lot of attention, and they are very attentive to her needs. The caregivers are great and work well with me, always keeping me informed. I think they do an excellent job. There aren't enough activities, and I wish there was more entertainment, especially music. They have one field trip a week, but more would be nice. The location is just down the street, so it's very convenient. Overall, it's working well for my mom, and she's much happier now.

"High Costs and Unclear Extra Care Fees"
The way they figure out the "extra care" she needs isn't clear until you get the bill. There should be a middle ground for extra care. Dementia is a broad condition, and it's not fair to assume she's at the worst stage. The cost for a very small room is already high, so adding services that might not be needed seems unfair. I was told she will be watched, so we will be keeping an eye on how well they watch her.

"A Family's Concern"
The way they figure out what extra care is needed isn't clear until you see the bill. They should have a middle ground for the extra care given. Dementia covers a wide range, so assuming she's at the worst isn't fair. The price for a tiny room is already high, so adding possibly unnecessary services seems unfair. They said she'd be monitored, so we'll be keeping an eye on how well she's watched.

"Early Impressions, Move In Soon"
It's too early to know about the care or activities yet. It looks like many other nice places. The move-in is still two days away.

"Feels Like Home, Not a Hospital"
This place is beautiful and doesn’t feel like a hospital or old folks’ home. Other places had a smell, but this one doesn’t. It’s gorgeous, and you walk in feeling open and free, not like you’re in dark, closed hallways. Their care goes all the way through hospice. They have a secure memory care area. The rooms are beautiful, like being at home, not a hospital.

"Helpful staff, welcoming environment, and nutritious meals daily"
Everyone has been very helpful and caring through these tough decisions. The staff and other residents have really made an effort to make us feel welcome. The best part is knowing that my parents are getting healthy meals every day.

"Noisiest, Rushed, No Features, Tight Spaces - Worst Facility Yet"
This was the worst place I've seen so far. It was really noisy when I was there. The tour felt hasty, they didn't have the features I wanted and the rooms were tiny.

"Spacious Facility, Not Ideal for Everyone"
The Commons was nice. At first, I thought my mother-in-law would like it because it’s all one big building instead of a bunch of separate ones. It’s just one huge place. But now, thinking about her health problems, I think she might have gotten lost or stayed in her room too much. They have kitchenettes in the rooms, so it would be easy for her to just stay in there.

"Nice Place - One Large Building"
The Commons was a nice place. When I first visited, I thought my mother-in-law would like it because it's all in one big building, unlike a campus with separate buildings. But now, considering her health issues, I believe she might get lost or feel isolated there. The rooms have kitchenettes, which could make it easier for her to stay inside.

"High Cost with Good Care Options"
It's a really nice place to live. The main thing we noticed was how expensive it is compared to some other places we looked at. They do offer more care if you need it later on. When my grandma was there, she didn't need extra help. Unfortunately, she fell and broke her hip a few weeks later. If she had been at this place, she could have stayed in her community. However, she preferred another place. This was our second choice, even though it cost more.

"Nice Place with Care Available"
It's a really nice place. The main concern was the cost, which was higher than some other options we considered. They do offer additional care if needed. When my grandmother was there, she didn't require extra assistance. Unfortunately, she fell and broke her hip a few weeks later. If she had been at the facility during the fall, she wouldn't have had to leave her home community. Ultimately, she preferred another place, but this was our second choice despite the higher cost.

"Clean and Friendly, But More Activities Needed"
I'm happy with them. I think they're fine. I wish they had more activities, but it might be hard because the patient has Alzheimer's and it's tough to plan things for them. Their staffing is really low. I thought there would be more staff for each patient, but I guess that's a problem for many places. We chose it because it was clean, the people were friendly, and my mom could have her own room and her own shower.

"Content with Their Choice"
I like the place. It's okay. They don't have many activities, but that's because the patients have Alzheimer's, which makes planning difficult. The staff is really low, though—I thought there'd be more staff for the patients. We picked it because it's clean, the people are friendly, and my mom has her own room and shower.

"Mom Thrives at The Commons!"
We picked The Commons for two reasons. A few years ago, we visited when it was new and liked it a lot. But back then, we couldn’t afford it. We also chose it because it’s close to our home. We looked at other places nearby, but we came back to The Commons. My mom is unique—she moved from a nursing home to assisted living. She knew she’d eventually leave the nursing home and find a better place. Now she’s really happy here. The only downside is the cost, but it’s worth it for her. The residents are similar, and she feels connected. I could talk forever about how great it is for my mom and how happy she is.

"Mom's Flourishing Here"
We picked The Commons for two reasons. A few years ago, we visited when it was brand new, and we really liked it. But back then, we weren't financially ready to move. Plus, it's close to our home. We looked at other places nearby, but we kept coming back to The Commons. My mom is unique because she used to live in a nursing home and then moved up to assisted living. She always knew she'd break out of there someday (her words) and find a better place. Now she's thrilled to be here. The only downside is the cost, but it's totally worth it for her. The residents are similar, and she feels like they're all alike. I could talk forever about how great it is for my mom and how happy she is here.

"Bright and Welcoming Community with Friendly Staff"
The Commons is a fantastic place. It’s bright and sunny, not dark and gloomy. The building lets in lots of light, which makes it feel warm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, and the place is always clean. The bright atmosphere helps everyone stay positive. We’re very happy with The Commons and would suggest it to anyone.
