"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living"
The overall experience was okay, but it's not cheap. When your parent has dementia like mine, things get tough. My mom fell and can't walk, so everyday tasks become expensive. They evaluate at the start and have their own scale for dementia care—showering, dressing, using the restroom, eating, etc. If your parent needs a lot of help, be ready to pay. Remember, dementia costs are separate from housing fees.

This place costs more because it's fancy. The shared spaces were great. The people who work there were friendly. The apartments were good but not amazing.

"Good communication and food; highly recommended community."
The staff communicated well with our family, always keeping us informed and returning calls quickly. The food was very good, and my loved one appreciated it being delivered during COVID. There was a good variety, and they enjoyed the meals. I would recommend this community to others.

"Caring Staff and Good Food at Assisted Living Facility"
The people who work here really care about the residents. They have done a lot to help my husband, who has dementia. They have also been nice to me and understanding when my husband acts differently because of his dementia. The food is like what you might find in a cafeteria, but there are many different choices. I think other people should consider living here.

The rooms and the layout of the community are okay. The food is alright, but there isn't much variety. We wouldn't recommend this place. It's too expensive, and our loved one fell and fractured her hip, and they didn't notice for a few days.

"Responsive Staff and Changes Over Time"
Since September 2010, my mother-in-law has lived at The Commons At Union Ranch. A lot has changed since she moved in, especially with many staff members leaving. I know this happens a lot in this industry my stepmom lives in a similar place. Sometimes problems come up that need fixing, and before Maureen started working there, it could be hard to get things sorted out. I understand it’s not always perfect, but Maureen and her team now are quick to handle any issues that come up.

The staff here are super caring and always pay attention. When I need help, they come really fast, usually in less than 5 minutes. I stay here because of the great care I get.

We thought this place was nice when we visited. The people we met were friendly and the place looked well-kept. They have plenty of things to do every day. It wasn't our first pick, though. The place we picked was just a tad better.
