"Great Place with Helpful Staff"
I would definitely recommend The Cottages. It's important to stay involved in your loved one's care to make sure everything is taken care of. The staff is doing their best, but sometimes things can get mixed up. Being there often helps a lot. We chose this place because it's close to my house, has good amenities, and the staff is kind, helpful, and informative.

"Save Your Money: Unimpressive Corporate Assisted Living Facility"
Don't be tricked by the flashy features. This place is run by business folks who don't seem to care about personal touch. They've had three different general managers in just as many years. No one ever follows up with us. The memory care they offer fell way short of our expectations. If you're thinking about choosing this place, I strongly suggest you drop by at least ten times, unannounced and at varied timings. The staff appeared inexperienced and the person managing memory care seemed hostile. We found a better home for our mom - it's a smaller senior home that costs less than half and has mature, polite staff that communicates well. I urge you to keep your money!

"Review of The Cottages Of Carmel-Carmel, Ca"
I visited The Cottages of Carmel, and it was pleasant. However, my mom didn't seem impressed or interested in this community. The pricing was a bit higher than our budget allowed.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Expensive Assisted Living with Deposit Requirement"
It’s a bit pricey. They mix assisted living and memory care for events occasionally. You need a $2500 deposit. Right now, we’d be at the top of the list.
