"Disappointing Facility Tour Experience"
We visited this place for a tour, but it wasn't great. It was really noisy inside. Plus, they forgot our names during the tour, even though it was just us.

"Tour Guide Was Pleasant, But Facility Didn't Meet My Needs"
The place didn't meet what I needed. The sales director was nice and helpful during the tour, and I'm grateful for her time.

"Meal Service and Activities Need Improvement"
Our family member isn't satisfied with meals; they take too long. Activities limited due to COVID.

"Price increase, stolen items, no activity encouragement."
The bill collector raised the prices for specific care. My loved one has had personal belongings stolen, and none of the staff seem to be addressing it. They haven’t encouraged my loved one to join any of the available activities.

"Positive initial experience marred by communication issues; improvement needed in information clarity."
My sister, husband, and I were happy with The Oaks at Nipomo when we met with the sales director, [Name]. We agreed on certain things, but when [Name] went on vacation, [Name] from corporate took over. She was rude, pushy, and didn't communicate well. She refused to honor what we agreed with [Name]. Because of her, we almost chose Merrill Gardens in Santa Maria instead. Despite this, we moved my sister into The Oaks and haven't had to deal with [Name] again! Other Oaks staff have been nice, caring, and helpful. They should make sure the info they give to potential residents is clear. For instance, the material didn't say that medical transport is free within 12 miles, only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They could add more details based on common resident questions. My sister loves the food and has gained needed weight. The menu is varied, tasty, and mostly healthy. Monthly rent is higher than Merrill Gardens and others, possibly causing many empty units.
