"Assisted Living Facility Fails to Respond in Emergencies, Unsympathetic Billing"
My mom-in-law's button for help never got quick responses. Once, she waited 40 minutes for help. Another time, no one came due to a computer problem or something. It happened four times in her two months there. When we realized she needed hospice for fast ALS, we had to move her out because she wasn't getting proper care. We couldn't give a month's notice because she didn't have that long to live. Sadly, she passed two weeks after leaving. They won't waive the bill for those two weeks because we didn't give 30 days' notice.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Communication Challenges"
This place is nice, and I’d suggest it for loved ones. Sometimes, though, it takes a few calls to get answers about our family member. Communication with memory care staff isn’t direct.

"Cramped Indoor Facility with Slow Staff Response and Poor View"
The memory care area and the dining/activity room were incredibly small and only indoors. There were barely any windows which felt a bit suffocating. Looking out from a resident's room, all you could see was what looked like a concrete wall. I wasn't able to thoroughly inspect, but the rooms came across as tiny. Also, it was a bit dubious how quickly the staff came when a resident needed assistance with the bathroom. Potential visitors must know that there's only parking available on the street.

"Assisted living facility suited for mobile residents fond of outdoors."
This place is better for folks who can move around easily and enjoy being outside, since the bungalows where you live are far from where you eat and do activities. It's very private, with big oak trees and old-fashioned buildings from the 1930s. But watch out for snakes because there's a lot of oak leaves on the ground. If you have trouble walking or use a walker, it might be hard to get around, especially when it's raining. The rooms in the bungalows are tiny and shaped weirdly. Only a full-size bed fits, and the TV is either really close to the couch or really far away. There's hardly any space to hang clothes. The closet and cabinet doors don't close right. The toilet paper holder is too far from the toilet, which could make someone fall trying to reach it. The handrails near the toilet aren't helpful because they're too far away. The walk-in shower is okay for people with disabilities, just like you'd expect.

"Good care, split buildings are a downside."
Well kept, residents seem okay; cons: dining and living are in different buildings.

"Affordable, peaceful, and community-focused assisted living"
We couldn't be happier with Twelve Oaks. After being closed for four years, Twelve Oaks Senior Living, formerly known as Twelve Oaks Lodge, is open again! They spent over $1.5 million to improve the property, which is on nearly five acres of beautiful park-like grounds with big oak trees. The community has great amenities like a hair salon, library, and daily activities. The landscaped grounds have walking paths, a large outdoor patio shaded by oak trees, gardening beds, the original rose garden, and oak and fruit trees. It's a peaceful place for residents to socialize and walk their pets. What residents and their families love most is the value. Twelve Oaks is one of the most affordable assisted living facilities in the San Gabriel Valley. Starting at $2,800 per month for a studio unit, residents get three restaurant-style meals per day, optional extra services, daily activities, a full-time nurse, a call system, 24-hour staffing, weekly housekeeping, laundry, and cable TV. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable, and community-focused facility.

"Twelve Oaks: Affordable, Fresh, and Full of Community Spirit!"
We’re thrilled with Twelve Oaks! After being closed for four years, Twelve Oaks Senior Living, previously known as Twelve Oaks Lodge, has reopened. Over $1.5 million was spent on upgrading the property, which is on nearly five beautiful acres surrounded by tall oak trees. The facility offers a hair salon, a library, and daily activities. The grounds are nicely landscaped with walking paths, a large outdoor patio under oak trees, gardening beds, the original rose garden, and oak and fruit trees. This creates a calm and pleasant place for residents to hang out and walk their pets. What people love most is the value. Twelve Oaks is one of the most affordable assisted living options in the San Gabriel Valley. Starting at $2,800 per month for a studio, residents get three meals a day, optional extra services, daily activities, a full-time nurse, a call system, 24-hour staffing, weekly housekeeping, laundry, and cable TV. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, budget-friendly, and community-focused facility.

"Selfish Leadership Destroys Beloved Senior Commune - Shame on Be.Group!"
Be warned! The selfish folks running the board of this non-profit decided to act against the trust placed in them. They neglected to properly manage and uphold this community-oriented facility. Numerous community members put their faith and energy into ensuring it was an excellent place for elderly loved ones to receive care. It's heartbreaking because it was once the perfect fit for my mom, a lifelong Glendale Pioneer. The executives too greedily saw an opportunity for profit and ran off with it. We need to call out their wrongdoings and keep the generous spirit of the Fifields Family and The National Charity League alive. They generously provided this place for seniors to have a serene haven. Shame on you Be.Group, masquerading as Presbyterian Homes.

"Absolute No-Go; Dilapidated and Depressing Facility"
This joint was a no-go for me. Constructed back in 1924 and so gloomy, heck no!
