"Mixed Experience with Ventura Townehouse Assisted Living"
The process of choosing an apartment at Ventura Townehouse was nice, and all the residents seemed happy, especially the more independent ones. We picked this place because it fit Mom's needs in terms of cost, amenities, and services. However, shortly after Mom moved in, the director of resident care left and was replaced by someone without any healthcare training. This change led to us struggling to get the care Mom needed, which resulted in a week-long hospital stay. The new director's lack of healthcare background has negatively affected Mom and our overall experience. If we had known about this staffing change earlier, we might have chosen differently. Ventura Townehouse is great for those who don't need much care. But if your loved one requires more than basic assistance, especially beyond Level III, it's important to meet with the care director. Ask specific questions because while his initial answers seem good, they often lack depth and understanding of health impacts. His approach to staffing needs is also questionable, which affects residents and staff negatively. Honestly, the director of resident care seems unfit for the role and should reconsider his position.

"Expensive but recommendable; needs better transportation and internet."
Ventura Townehouse community is pricey, and internet should be included in the cost. Transportation to banks, doctors, etc., is limited and has become more restricted recently. Despite these issues, based on our experience so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

"Caring Community Bonds"
The community is super friendly and kind. A great thing is that independent living and assisted living are together, not separate. People who can help others do so, and everyone benefits. It builds a strong sense of community and caring.

"Charming Tour, Clean Environment, Friendly Staff; Chose Another Facility"
I visited Ventura Townehouse for a tour and it was nice. Everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. In the end, we picked a different place nearby.

"Mixed Feelings: High-End Facility with Room for Improvement"
We looked at a few places, and this one stood out. It's the fanciest among the ones we checked in Venutura County. The location is convenient, and the staff is super nice. However, the food isn't great for the price we're paying. It would be nice if they offered wine for guests visiting. Overall, I'd say it's worth considering.

"A Mixed Experience at This Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place for a tour. The staff was friendly. The person leading the tour made us excited about staying here, but they never got back to us. The building looked really old, with no recent renovations, though it was kept clean. There's a view of the ocean, which Dad liked. However, I wasn't keen on the memory unit. Overall, I'd suggest this place for those without memory problems.
