"Disappointing Care, Decent Food"
My family member didn’t get the physical therapy they needed. They really needed a place with more skilled nurses, but we couldn’t find one. They didn’t give my family member their medicine. People didn’t follow up or talk to us enough. It wasn’t a nice time. The food was pretty good, though. All in all, it was hard for my family member. The workers couldn’t take good care of them. I’d say look for a different place; this one wasn’t worth our money.

"Decent Non-Profit Retirement Home with Efficient Staff"
Pretty good, older place run by a non-profit. The workers there are really on-the-ball.

"Not Much Scenery!"
The Vintage Gardens was a pleasant place to visit. Everyone there was really friendly. The two main things we didn't like were the stairs and the view. Unfortunately, there wasn't much scenery for my mom, and she didn't want to use the elevator all the time. Apart from that, the place was quite nice.

"Great Value Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
This place is really nice! The apartments are great, and the price is good too. They help you with travel to doctor appointments and stuff like that, which is really helpful. And the staff is super nice!

"Review of Fresno, CA's Vintage Gardens Assisted Living: Nice, but Old"
It was okay, but the place was kind of old. I would consider it again though.

"Thankful for Good Care with Room for Improvement"
My dad lived there for almost 2 years until he passed away. He was blind, couldn't talk because of a stroke, and eventually needed a wheelchair. The old care staff took pretty good care of him. They managed his meds, appointments, and meals. Since we lived out of the city, we had to pay extra for someone to go with him to his appointments. We only got upset once when he wasn’t taken to the restroom and had an accident. Also, clothes, money, and snacks were taken, but the new director and staff fixed those issues. His laundry got mixed up sometimes. His regular personal care staff was kind and caring, but the newer ones needed training. We asked for a night check on him, and something must have happened that scared him, but he couldn't tell us. We could Skype with him and keep an eye on him with a security camera from 300 miles away. We are thankful that Vintage Garden was there for him in his last years and appreciate the changes made by the new director.

"Assisted living provided good care, room for improvement acknowledged"
My dad lived there almost 2 years before passing. He was blind, couldn't talk due to a stroke, and eventually needed a wheelchair. The staff before the current one took pretty good care of him. They made sure he got his meds, went to his appointments, and had meals on time. Since we lived out of the city, we had to pay extra for someone to accompany him to his appointments. There was one upsetting incident when the person didn't take him to the restroom, and he had an accident. Some belongings like clothes, money, and snacks went missing, but the new director and staff resolved those issues. Although he had laundry service, sometimes his clothes got mixed up. The regular caregivers were nice and caring, but the new ones needed more training. We requested a nightly check on him, but something may have happened or scared him. He couldn't tell us. Thankfully, we could Skype him and monitor him with a security camera from 300 miles away. We're grateful Vintage Garden was there for him in his last years and appreciate the improvements under the new director.
