"Memory Care Facility Review"
We talked to a really nice person who gave us lots of information. After considering it, we chose a different place because we felt our loved one needed more activities.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
We picked Legacy Oaks because it's affordable. The rooms are decent, like a studio apartment. The building is old, so there have been appliance problems. Housekeeping could improve. Staff is friendly. I'd recommend it.

"Poor Communication and Overcrowding: Not a Recommended Facility"
The workers know how to take care of your family members, but they don't do a good job talking about it. It seems like they don't care about your loved one or what they're going through. It's like they're just there to get their paycheck and go home. I think this place cares more about making money than helping people. They try to handle too many residents and it's not working out. I wouldn't tell other families to send their love ones here.

"Mixed Experience: Clean Facility, Varying Staff Friendliness, Communication Concerns"
Based on our tour and moving our loved one in, the place was pretty clean. Some staff members were friendly, but it varied. We talked to the new head nurse, and she was nice. But, there's a breakdown in communication between staff and families. Sometimes, the staff can be unprofessional and rude to residents. The front desk lady is great, though - always positive and supportive. We believe our loved one is being cared for, but we worry about the level of care and if they're following through with services. It's unclear what services are provided at different care levels. Despite COVID, the activities offered seem decent.

"Great facility with friendly staff and excellent care."
I've looked at almost every assisted living place in the Sacramento-Rocklin CA area. With new management from Meridian Senior Living, Legacy Oaks offers the cozy environment I wanted for my father, who has MCI. The staff is very friendly, and the management and medical care are well-handled. I'm relieved my search is over. Thank goodness for Legacy Oaks! I feel better knowing my father’s daily life and health care needs are taken care of.

"Brackets"
This facility did an assessment of my mom without me present and decided to place her in the memory care unit, which almost doubled our costs. They promised me she'd receive tailored care and stimulating activities, but every time I visited, no matter the time of day, I found her sleeping. Normally, my mom wouldn't nap like this. She injured her leg and had a wound the size of a silver dollar, but they neglected to treat it and downplayed it as a small scrape. I noticed that the staff were occupied with their own activities, like puzzles, instead of interacting with the residents. When I was there, other seniors needed assistance but no employees were available to help. Despite promising that residents in memory care would also be taken to concerts and other activities, my mom never participated in any. Frustrated, I moved her out after two weeks. I reached out to inquire about a potential refund, but was billed for another month with no communication or explanation from management. It was an awful experience at a terrible facility." : "Memory Care Neglect: Tragic Experience at Eldercare Facility

"Warm and Caring Staff with Great Amenities at Legacy Oaks"
Legacy Oaks has lots of great things to offer for a good price. But what really stands out is how the staff are so professional and caring – they really mean it. The dining room gives you options, the food looks good, and it tastes great too. People who live there chat and have a good time during meals. I saw lots of smiles and visitors too. I think you should check out Legacy Oaks of Sacramento.

"Nice staff, friendly place, Helen's journey to socializing"
The staff, Cindy, and owner Brian were very nice and answered lots of questions. I like her room and she does too. I've had lunch with her twice, and everyone is friendly. I'm not sure how much Helen wants to interact with others. Hopefully, she will once she gets to know them better. It really is her journey. I can only do so much.

"Perfect Place for Our Friendly 91-Year-Old Mom"
This community is in a great location, which was really important to us gave us a tour and we could tell she cared about each resident’s needs and answered questions we hadn’t even asked yet. She made us feel good about having our Mom live there. The rooms are big and all have a small kitchen. The place was cheerful and the prices were very reasonable. It seemed like the perfect place for our friendly 91-year-old Mom!

"Less Expensive, Clean Facility, Lacks Amenities - Not Ideal for Mom"

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living with Spacious Rooms and Quiet Dining"
This place was really nice and the people who work there were friendly. When we went to check it out, we saw some guys playing cards and a few folks hanging out in the front area. The rooms were big and you can paint them if you want. There's a beauty shop that's open once a week from 10 to 3. We had lunch there, and it was stuffed bell peppers, corn, garlic bread, coleslaw, and bread pudding. Even though the lunchroom was pretty full, it was really quiet.

"Friendly Staff and Good Care Options"
We toured this place for my mother-in-law's care. The staff were friendly and explained the care services well. We liked the menu and activities available for residents. Although we liked the community, the cost was too high for us. We recommend this place to other families for their loved ones' care.

"Mixed Feelings on Nazareth Place Assisted Living"
We visited this place while searching for my wife's dad. On the day we came, there was a lady in the lobby who seemed upset, trying to reach her doctor. She might have had memory issues. It seemed like they could have handled it better and calmed her down. Another reason we didn't pick Nazareth Place is that when my father-in-law mentioned his alternative medicine, the staff didn't seem knowledgeable and it made him feel awkward.

"Nice community, but residents were older than my sister"
I enjoyed the tour we had for my sister. The staff was knowledgeable, and the community was clean and pleasant. However, the residents seemed a bit older than my sister, and we wanted a place with people closer to her age. I suggest families visit this nice community for their loved ones’ care.

"Unappealing Facility with Absent Staff: Not for Mom"

"Wonderful place for mom!"
So far, things are going great. The nursing assistants are very good, and everyone is welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. She is awesome! My mom is slowly getting involved in activities. She enjoys watching people play cards and has gone to the movie room, but she hasn’t used the shuttle service yet. Bringing her own bed and furniture helped her settle in. Although she couldn’t bring her scooter because it was too big, we got her an electric wheelchair. I think this is a wonderful community for the price.

"Clean and Informative Assisted Living Tour"
I visited this assisted living facility and found it to be very clean during my tour. The person in charge knew a lot and gave me specific details. They even have meal plans for the residents. The staff I met were friendly and paid attention to everyone. However, I wasn't too impressed with the old building. It would be great if they could update it a bit.

"Communication Lacks at this Assisted Living Facility"
After evaluating my father at home, they said he was ready to move in. However, the first day was a bit chaotic as the doctor's orders were not ready. I believe this chaos might have been due to a recent switch in management which led to miscommunication and a lack of organization. Things did not end up going well for my father, and it seemed like communicating with us was not high on their list of priorities. Overall, the experience was quite difficult for my mother. The staff at the facility need to receive better training and need to improve the communication amongst themselves.

"Fairly satisfied"
They try their best, and Mom receives decent care. However, we're accustomed to more thorough attention, additional activities, and access to a shaded garden. While it's better value than pricier places, sometimes they're understaffed and too busy. We visit frequently and plan to help create a garden. Hopefully, their good intentions will catch up over time. Overall, we're glad we found them for Mom.

"Moving Dad to Sacramento"
My dad lived in the Bay Area but needed to be closer to us. He wasn’t eating much and spent most of his time alone in his apartment watching TV. We toured a few places, including small ‘board and care’ homes (too cramped) and large corporate facilities (too expensive). After visiting Nazareth and enjoying a great lunch (salmon, rice, veggies, cake), we chatted with residents and staff. I liked that they have an on-site nurse all week, even at night. The prices seemed high, but the Sales Director showed us that it was worth it. Dad now joins everyone in the dining room, makes friends, and lives a better life. The 24/7 staff ensures he takes his medications on time. It’s a great place.

"Affordable, Friendly, and Comfortable Assisted Living Facility"
Mom broke her hip four months ago, which meant she couldn’t live alone anymore. Since our family is in Sacramento and needed a place close to Kaiser, we searched for options. After seeing high prices at other places, we found Nazareth Park Place. It’s affordable and nice—not fancy, but overall excellent. The staff is very friendly, caring, and well-trained. Mom’s studio apartment is spacious, with a kitchenette that has a fridge and microwave. At first, Mom wasn’t thrilled about moving, but after a month, she made friends, enjoys meals with others, and participates in daily activities. The community is older but well-maintained and always getting updates. The food is fresh and balanced. I join Mom for dinner every Saturday for just $5.00. She’s doing much better now.

"Great care and cleanliness, but more outdoor time needed for memory care"
My Dad is now living at Nazareth Park Place, and it’s a really nice and clean place. I’ve had a great experience with the staff; they keep me updated and send me pictures of him often. One thing I’m a bit worried about is how much time he gets outside since he’s in the memory care unit. The staff says they take him out at least twice a week, but I’d like him to have a bit more time outdoors. I understand there are safety concerns, but the idea of getting outside is good. The most important thing is that Dad is happy and well cared for!

"Dad Finds Comfort in Park Place Memory Care"
Our dad recently found out he has dementia after a surgery didn’t go well. The person at the hospital who helps with leaving tried to assist, but you really have to go and visit places yourself. It was really tough too—people in dementia care aren’t themselves anymore. We checked out 6 memory care places and picked Park Place because the staff really understood what to do and how to help people like Dad. I’m glad Dad is getting taken care of, but I miss his usual self.

"Nazareth Reflection Memory Care gets a big thumbs up"
I want to share my review of this place. I moved my Dad into Nazareth Memory Care last month, and I can honestly say the staff is amazing. The care they give is top-notch. They always update me about how my Dad is doing, and he’s even told me he loves staying there. The staff organizes a lot of activities, though it can be hard because not everyone participates, especially with dementia and wandering. I give Nazareth Reflection Memory Care a big thumbs up!

"A health crisis at this facility: I would not recommend."
Choosing this assisted living facility for my husband turned into a nightmare. We were in a pinch and needed help quickly. They admitted my husband within a day, which was great. But that's about the only good thing I can tell you about this place. In just one short week, my husband's health took a dramatic turn for the worse. Following a visit from a nurse on his doctor's orders, we discovered he'd gotten awfully bad bed sores and rashes, not to mention his blood pressure and sugar levels were out of control. Things became so critical, he had to be whisked off to the hospital, landing up in intensive care for more than a week. Predictably, he never returned to this facility, and quite frankly, I can't imagine why anyone else would either. Getting a refund was another nightmare journey entirely, although eventually, we did receive it. If you're considering this place for yourself or your loved ones, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It's an old, grimy building that stinks, and the staff isn't friendly at all. I can't warn strongly enough against recommending this place to anyone.

"Safety Concerns for Wheelchair Users in Common Areas"
The property needs some updates. We don't know much about the activities because my father-in-law doesn't join them. The smoking area and indoor court need better access for people in wheelchairs. They have to push and pull the doors while in their wheelchairs, which isn't safe. The sliding glass door from his room to the court area is very hard for him to use.

"Perfect for Mom's New Home"
My mom was feeling sad living alone in our old house after my dad passed away. We didn't have a lot of money, so we couldn't afford a fancy apartment with meals and fun things to do. Thankfully, we discovered Nazareth Park Place! They have nice apartments, delicious meals every day, and lots of activities. Mom even made five new friends! The staff are friendly, and the location is great. We're really happy we found Nazareth Park Place!

"Great value and fun senior living in convenient location"
This senior living place is really cool and doesn’t cost much. I checked out a few spots around Sacramento for some friends who are in their 70s and don’t have a lot of money. I found Nazareth Park Place, and it’s awesome for the price. I used to sell houses, so I know a good spot when I see one. It’s near a bunch of malls, across from Kaiser, and close to lots of stores. When I went around with the big boss, I saw the building is a bit old compared to other places I visited, but the apartments are big, the staff is super nice, and they have all the important stuff. Plus, it’s way cheaper than the fancier places. I’m telling my friends to check it out for sure.

"A revealing visit: Not the best assisted living facility"
We checked this place out while exploring different possibilities. It was right next door to the hospital which would have been handy. However, the people living there all looked kind of lost, like zombies. It truly showed us the best and worst side of these types of facilities. It did not seem like the best choice." .
