"Warm and Friendly Assisted Living Choice"
We picked The Plaza at Westwood because it's close, the staff is nice, and it's good value. It feels warm and friendly, not like an institution. I'd recommend it for sure.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Tricky Parking"
I liked the facility, but the busy street location wasn’t great. Parking can be tricky sometimes. The rooms and common areas were nice. I didn’t chat with residents, but they seemed happy.

"Lovely facility but challenging parking and busy street"
This is a nice place, but I didn't like the location on such a busy street. Parking can be hard at times. The facility, rooms, and common areas were beautiful. I didn't talk to any residents personally, but many came by and greeted [Removed] while we were talking. They all seemed happy with where they live.

"Good Facility with Jan being a Highlight, but Location's Crowded"
Pretty good place. We really liked Jan. It's in a hectic area.

"My Tour Impressions"
The place was tidy, and the folks I met on the tour were friendly. However, it didn't quite match what we wanted it was bigger than our preference.

"Nice Place But Out of My Price Range"
I visited the place and really liked the community. However, everything felt nice until I realized it's beyond my budget.

"Comfortable Living with Minor Drawbacks"
This place is mostly good. The cost is a bit high and I have to pay extra for laundry, but the meals are nice and they can adjust them if needed. My room is decent, but I had to get a mirror because it gets chilly, and I'm close to the elevator. The location is good, and it's a nice community overall.

"Warm, caring staff made moving to Las Casitas easy."
I toured several places with my mother before choosing Las Casitas. What stood out about Las Casitas was the warm sense of community and the caring staff. Many other places we looked at were too big and didn't seem right for her. At Las Casitas, I felt she would be well cared for and supported. Deciding to move a parent to a new home is tough, but the Administrator and staff made it as easy as possible. We are very glad we chose Las Casitas.

"Crummy Space, Few Activities, and Downbeat Mood"
The public area is really lousy and there's hardly any fun activities. The whole place feels gloomy. Most people here look like they need lots of help with daily stuff.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience"
My mom's been here 10 years. Staff's nice, mostly good. The bosses, not so much. They almost kicked out my mom at 85 while we were away (can you believe it?). And they never clean her room! They did fix up the place recently, but why no automatic door?

"Wonderful Care for My Mother at Westwood Plaza"
They took great care of my mom. The staff was very caring and always there for her needs. She needed extra help with getting to meals and bathing, and I couldn’t have asked for better service. The place was clean and well organized. The managers were always there to help me and returned my calls quickly. My mom loved their activities a lot while she was there (she passed away in June). I would highly recommend them for all your senior needs.

"A Pleasant Surprise: Comfortable Atmosphere and Engaged Staff"
I was pleasantly surprised during my visit. Jan apologized for the upcoming cosmetic changes, but I found the decor plain yet acceptable. The place had a hotel/apartment feel, with lots of interaction among residents and activities like bingo, TV groups, and general chatting. The dining area was nice, clean, and great for socializing. The staff seemed very attentive and involved. I liked the rooms, and the price was reasonable. I enjoyed seeing so many residents interacting and being familiar with each other.

"Helpful staff, needs better activities"
The staff is pretty helpful and nice. They could improve on their activities. It would be nice if they had more engaging things to do rather than just sitting around and watching TV. Other than that, the location is good and the food is good with multiple choices for each meal.

"Assisted Living Facility Provides Friendly Staff, Good Food"
The people who work here are really nice and helpful. It's good that there's different kinds of food for meals. But I think they could make the things to do more fun. Instead of only watching TV, it would be better to have more exciting activities. Overall, it's in a good spot.

"Outdated Assisted Living Community Falls Short of Expectations"
On Westwood Blvd, there's a private community for assisted living. Unfortunately, it's outdated and doesn't meet my standards. The property manager is very nice, but the rooms have old furnishings and window air conditioning. The monthly deposit is $3090, with an $850 non-refundable fee.

"Westwood Blvd's Retirement Home: Outdated Rooms, Hefty Deposit"
On Westwood Blvd, there's a private retirement home. To be fair, the person in charge is really nice. But, the place seriously needs to be updated. It's just not good enough for what I'm looking for. The rooms themselves are behind the times, and still have window air conditioners. It costs $3090 a month, and they also want an $850 deposit which is non-refundable.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility had friendly staff, but it was pricey and lacked activities. While not terrible, it seemed a bit run-down. A faint smell lingered.

"Friendly Staff, But Lacking Activities and Needs Upkeep"
The folks at the home were super kind, but it cost a lot and there wasn’t much to do nearby. It’s not the worst, but it looked a bit worn down compared to others we visited. Also, there was a slight odor as you walked through.

"Nice Assisted Living, Better for Independent Residents"
I thought it was a nice place. he showed me around, even though it wasn't the right fit for my dad. It's better suited for more independent people.

"Pleasant Community"
I thought it was a really nice place. Jan showed me around even though she knew it might not be the right fit for my dad. She was thorough and gave me brochures. The place is nice, but it's better suited for more independent people.

"Limited Activities for the Visually Impaired"
My grandfather has been complaining, but he also has some paranoia issues, so I’m not sure if what he says is true or just his paranoia. He’s not happy with the activities because there’s nothing he can join. I know they have meetings, and he’s attended some. He can’t watch TV or movies because he’s nearly blind. He can’t see well enough to play the board games, even though they have oversized ones. I like how they communicate with families. The location and price are what made me choose Westwood Plaza. I know he would like more food choices when there’s something on the menu he doesn’t like, like bagels and lox. He’d like another option besides grilled cheese.

"Great place, but shower and cooking could improve."
This place is really nice! Everything looks great and clean. The only thing is, I wish the shower could accommodate someone in a wheelchair, and it would be cool if there were cooking facilities. Otherwise, it's almost perfect!

"Great place, friendly director, but no green areas for dogs."
This place was really nice, and the director was super nice too. But I'm not sure it's the best place for my dog because there aren't any grassy areas for her to walk.
