"Disappointing Experience at Windchime Assisted Living"

I didn't like Windchime for my brother. He was there for just six weeks before he passed away, but it wasn't good for him. The staff treated him like he was a child, always coming into his room without asking. Even though he was only there for medical reasons, they treated him like he had dementia. When I visited before he moved in, they talked about all the fancy things they were planning for the future, but once he was there, there wasn't much to do. There were hardly any activities, no barber, and the food was terrible. It was all so bland, and there weren't many choices except for a turkey sandwich if he missed a meal because of his dialysis. They didn't even try to make him feel welcome.

"Not suitable, lacks VA benefits, continuing search elsewhere."

Virtual meeting, not our fit. No VA benefits, still looking.

"Communal Bathrooms in Small Community Disappointed"

This place was smaller than I expected. I didn't like that the residents had to share a bathroom

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Food and Communication"

My family member was only there briefly. But I really felt like the food should've been better. When you're at that stage in life, there's not much to enjoy anymore, so food is a big deal. And I wasn't impressed. If you didn't like the main meal, your options were basically a hot dog or a turkey sandwich. The quality of care varied depending on who was giving it. Overall, it seemed okay, but there wasn't much personal attention—it felt like they were just going through the motions without trying to connect. Many of the staff members were quite young, and I'm not sure how well they related to the residents. My main issue was that after my family member passed away, there was no announcement—it was like they didn't inform the staff. So for days afterward, different staff members kept coming to his room to offer lunch, and we had to explain the situation each time, which was really hard for our family. They definitely need better communication with their staff. Also, they haven't reached out to me since then. Apart from when I returned the key, I haven't heard anything from them, which seems strange.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living Facility"

This place seems great. There are lots of good chances here. Everyone I talk to is really nice and helpful when I call. Whenever I have questions, they act quickly and get things done.

"Warm, welcoming facility with excellent memory care and hospice support"

We visited four different facilities and chose Windchime because of its great location. When you walk in, it feels warm and welcoming. I also really liked their memory care unit and its director. If your loved one goes on hospice, like ours did, the staff is very caring and works well with hospice workers. We could visit anytime. I would definitely recommend Windchime.

"Nice Community, But Needs Some Improvements"

This place wasn't exactly what I wanted for my husband's care. They didn't have easy access to water, and the staff didn't always give him the care he needed. However, the community was clean, and they offered activities for him. I would recommend this place, but they need to adjust some things for the residents. Overall, it's a nice community, and I would suggest it to other families for good care.

"Community Needs Improvement in Care, But Overall Decent"

This place wasn't exactly what I wanted for my husband's care. They didn't have water access, and the staff didn't provide the care I expected. However, the place was clean, and they offered activities. I'd suggest this community, but they need to focus more on residents' needs. Overall, it's a nice place, and I'd recommend it to other families for good care.

"Caring Staff Makes Brother's Move to Windchime Smooth and Safe"

My brother has been staying at Windchime, and the staff there has been super helpful and really listens to what he needs. They made him feel right at home, and moving into assisted living wasn't as tough as we thought it would be because of their support. I'm confident that he's in good hands and getting the care he needs while he deals with his memory problems.

"Great staff, good food, and friendly environment with minor cleaning issues"

My mom is happy here and really likes the staff, who care a lot about her. I chose this place because it was nearby and available. I think they could clean a bit better; it seems like not much is done. They make sure her meals are moist and mom says the food is good. Sometimes, the staff even bring her meals to her room and ice cream at night. They also manage her medication well. She has made many friends and enjoys getting her hair done by the stylist.

"Mom Loves It Here"

My mom is really happy here and likes the staff, and they love her a lot. I picked this place because it was close to my home and available. They could do a bit better with cleaning; it doesn’t seem like much gets done. They make sure her meals are moist, and mom says the food is good. Sometimes, the staff bring meals to her room and even give her ice cream at night. They keep track of her medication too. She has made a lot of friends and enjoys getting her hair done by the stylist.

"Great care, activities, and food! Highly recommend this place!!"

The staff are quick to respond and take great care of the residents. They have daily activities for everyone to enjoy. The food is tasty with many options. The community is clean, and I would definitely recommend it

"Residents are happy with the care, food, and staff!"

Windchime has lovely patio areas, clean grounds, and spacious rooms with private bathrooms. The facility seemed well-staffed since I saw employees everywhere. Before my appointment, I spoke with a few residents about the care, food, and activities. They all said they were very happy with everything at Windchime.

"Great Care and Clean Environment"

The staff were really nice and took good care of my mom. Everything went smoothly while she was there. The place seemed clean, and we were happy with the short stay. Plus, they gave us a better price than other places.

"Room for Improvement in Assisted Living Facility"

This place is trying to get better, but my husband's health has gotten worse since we got here. The workers are doing their best, but there aren't enough of them compared to the residents, especially in the memory care unit. They write activities on the board, but I hardly ever see anything happening. They need to respond faster. Until they fix things, I wouldn't easily recommend this place.

"Needs More Staff and Activities"

This assisted living facility is trying to improve, that's for sure. However, since my husband moved into this community, I've seen his health decline. It's clear that the caregiver team is working extremely hard. But, the number of residents to staff seems out of balance, particularly in their memory care unit. Often, it looks like they're short-staffed. They do have a list of activities for residents written up, but I hardly ever see those activities taking place. Their response time could also be much quicker. Until I see these issues addressed, I'd have reservations about suggesting this community to others.

"Top-notch and Friendly!"

I picked this place because it had nice linens, wood banisters, and fancy stuff—perfect for my mom, who is quite the princess :) I liked that the bathrooms were big and handicap accessible. I also liked that I didn’t have to bring much furniture—they provided a lot. The staff was really helpful and super friendly!”

"Mixed Feelings: Okay, but Better Options Exist"

Windchime was alright, but sometimes you just get a feeling about a place, you know? It was okay, but I preferred another place. Maybe it was because of my mom's stage. Some places are for people who can do more and join in activities. Windchime seemed like that - good for more active folks. But my mom isn't at that point anymore.

"Mixed Feelings About Windchime Assisted Living"

Windchime was alright, but you know, sometimes you just get a vibe about a place, you know? This place was fine, but I preferred another one. Maybe it was because of where my mom was at. Some places are more for folks who are doing better and can still join in activities and stuff. Windchime seemed like that - good for folks who can still manage some things. My mom's just at a point where she can't do much anymore.

"They Really Look Out for My Mom!"

The value of Windchime can be hard to measure because Mom needs a lot of care. However, I believe their pricing is fair for what they offer. It’s a good deal overall. Windchime has a set price that covers everything, so there’s no extra charge for things like band-aids or bringing meals to the room. This works great for my mom. There are no hidden fees, and the care is excellent. The facility is like a hotel with a covered drop-off area, so you’re protected from the weather. Overall, this is a great place. The staff are wonderful and genuinely care. The marketing director even said, "I don’t care where your mom ends up, just get her out of Arizona. We don’t want her in a bad place whether we get the contract or not." That really showed they care.

"Good place, but the building felt too big"

We really liked this place. The staff, the ones who showed us around, let us see all the rooms. It was a two-story building. My sister, a retired social worker, thought it was too big for her. She tried to find a smaller room, but in the end, we felt the building was still too large.

"Nice Place, But Too Big"

We really liked this place. The main guide showed us all the rooms. It’s a two-story building. My sister, who used to be a social worker, thought it would be too hard for her to get around. The guide tried to find a smaller, easier room for her, but in the end, we thought the place was still too big.

"Cozy room with nice view, close to dining and living."

The room was really nice, and it had a great view. It was also close to where we eat and hang out. But my grandma thought it was a little too big for her, which made her feel a bit overwhelmed. But for me, it was almost the perfect choice.

"Great community, just not in the right location"

Windchime is a very nice and clean place. The staff was super friendly and they had lots of activities. It would have been a great choice for us, but it wasn’t in the area we wanted. We were looking for something closer to Paradise. The place is bright and open, making it feel warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a great community, just not in the right location.
