"Abysmal Care and Negligence Rife In This Assisted Living Facility"
Stay clear of this place! The care you'll get during the weekends is just terrible. If I could, I'd report the weekend caregiver to state officials. See, we brought our mom here because the owner promised they could look after her all the way to the end. Not even a month passed before they called saying she needed more than they could offer and we had to move her out, quick. Remember, from the get-go, we told them mom needed full-time help, like with going to the bathroom. But this weekend caregiver, helped by another staffer, would just toss her into bed and tell mom not to even turn on her call light because they would not respond. Mom had to endure the discomfort of bathroom needs all night because they blatantly refused to change her. It was absolutely disgusting by morning. Adult diapers aren't limitless! What's more, this caregiver seemed unbothered by the fact that mom had a back condition that was made worse by the careless manhandling. The caregiver would complain about improperly set dishware as if it mattered – the presentation was all for show, anyway. Her duties were clearly set aside. More often than not, she'd be on the phone chatting with family or jamming to her music rather than looking after the residents. Except for one caregiver - the manager of the place - who was thorough and genuinely cared for the residents, the rest of the care was abysmal. To top it off, after we reached out to the owner multiple times, we received no response. The place would often run out of supplies during the week. He was so frugal that he insisted on the dishes being hand washed to save on water and power. So, save yourself the trouble, steer clear of this place. You'd be better off just about anywhere else!

"Intolerable Service! A Place to Avoid!"
Steer clear of this place! The care during the weekends was so poor I'd report it if I could! Our mom needed a lot of help, but the owner assured us that they could care for her until her final days. After only a month, however, we were told our mom needed too much help and that they couldn't continue to care for her, even though we made clear beforehand she needed full-time aid, including bathroom assistance. The weekend caregiver, on duty Friday to Sunday, was negligent. She, along with another helper, would roughly move our mom into bed, telling her not to use her call button because she wouldn't answer. So if mom needed to use the restroom, she had to wait until morning, as this person refused to help her during the night. By morning, this would become a real mess. Not only that, but disregarding the fact that our mom has loose screws in her back triggering pain, and rough handling further upset her condition. This caregiver had a habit of getting upset over things as irrelevant as plates not being placed back right – making the center seem more like a show than a care facility. She spent more time on her phone than attending to the needs of the people she was supposed to be looking after. The only ray of light was the weekday manager, who took great care of everyone. She was truly good at her job, but unfortunately, she was the only one. The owner was unresponsive, even after many attempts to reach out to him. The place was often out of supplies, and he even insisted on dishes being washed by hand to save on water and electricity. In short, avoid this place at all costs! You'd be better off almost anywhere else!

"Decent for Assisted Living, Fails with High-Level Care Needs"
The Aspen View Living facility was nice and clean. The director, Dr. Greg Green, was helpful when it came to moving my mom from the hospital quickly. During our initial visit, we were told that they could take care of my mother until the end of her life. I was clear about my mother's condition, stating that she had severe weakness and numbness that was getting worse and required a lot of assistance with basic everyday tasks. After we moved my mother in, the caregivers told us that she needed more care than they could provide. Within a month, my mother's health declined to a point where she couldn't stand, assist herself, or eat on her own. Some caregivers were harsh with my mother and even told her not to bother them at night, saying they wouldn't respond to her call button. In the end, I was asked to find a nursing home for my mom as soon as possible. The most disappointing part was the assurances we were given when we were told that my mom could be taken care of until the end of her life. I had assumed this meant that, no matter how bad her condition became, they'd be able to take care of her (even with some extra charge). This was the hardest month of my life, as I was worried about my mom's care. I spent at least 10 hours a week there trying to help out the caregivers and my mother. Thankfully, we managed to move her into a facility that could take care of her medical needs. If your loved one really only needs assisted living, then Aspen View Living could be a great place. However, if they require help at night or if they're largely incapable of looking after themselves, don't be fooled into thinking it's the right place for them.

"Outstanding Care and Support for Loved Ones!!"
This place is amazing!!!! I'm a nurse, so I have high expectations for what an assisted living home should provide for seniors. Derek, the owner, is there seven days a week, and Lorrie, the caregiver and house manager, has a heart of gold. You really can't go wrong choosing this wonderful facility for your loved one. It deserves five stars plus!!!

"Perfect place for mom's care!"
My mother has been at Aspen View for a few months. This is the best place for assisted living if you or someone you love needs care. It’s not about fancy amenities and activities like some bigger places. My mother doesn’t need or want those. She needs ASSISTED LIVING. This is a HOME. The caregiver, Lorie, is very attentive and always lets me know if my mom needs something or if something seems off. Derek Main, one of the owners and a physical therapist, checks on her often. He communicates well with me and is easy to talk to whenever I have questions. I feel this is a VERY caring environment. Plus, Lorie is a great cook! My mother doesn’t want to be anywhere else!

"Aspen View Living is fantastic!"
I moved my mom from Scottsdale, AZ, to Aspen View Living, and the care she receives is amazing. Lori, the caregiver, is great with seniors and very caring. Lori's cooking is delicious too! The owners are hands-on and always available if my mom needs anything. I'm really impressed with this assisted living home.

"Unfulfilled Promises and Poor Service at Assisted Living Facility"
Firstly, they falsely portrayed themselves. They claim they offer round-the-clock care, but it's not actually true. Sure, they have a person on the property, but they aren’t accessible when needed. Furthermore, she couldn't get the essential care she required, because the facility was not up to the mark for her needs. They agreed to accommodate her and then, after we moved in, it was just trouble. They were also quite snippy and not welcoming.

"Total Letdown with False Promises and Rude Staff"
They lied right off the bat. They claimed to have round-the-clock care, but that's just not true. Sure, they've got a caretaker around, but it feels impossible to reach them when you really need to. Plus, this place wasn't even able to provide the right care for my grandmother. They made big promises and told us they could handle everything, but once we moved in, it was just one disaster after another. The staff was downright mean and not at all friendly.

"Aspen View Living is fantastic for my mom!"
Aspen View Living is fantastic! Derek Main created a beautiful home for six lucky seniors who live there. My mom is one of the lucky six. I toured the place and couldn’t find anything wrong with this community. It’s new, beautiful, well-staffed, and very well-kept—definitely a 5-star residence.
