My family member's main issue is with the food. It's really plain, and even though they have a menu, they often run out of items and rarely serve what's listed. As for other aspects like how friendly and clean the place is, and the staff, my family member is somewhat satisfied, but not completely.

The community is pleasant, the location is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They offer plenty of activities for residents, and the food is good. I recommend this community based on my experience.

"Mixed Experience: Good Facility, Communication Issue"
My grandma stayed here before it was Bear Creek, so we chose it for my friend. The only problem I have is when my friend had heart pains and I was on the phone with him, a staff member was at his door yelling. Other than that, we liked the facility. The administrator was very nice and helpful.

"Horrifying Experience at Bear Creek Assisted Living Facility"
My father-in-law was at Bear Creek for a week due to a broken leg, but sadly, he didn't survive. It seems like this place is understaffed, and they have a "pass the buck" attitude at work. It's fine to be busy, but the staff's rudeness genuinely scared our family. We were worried about the level of care he'd get, especially since he's 80 and has OCD. Our fears proved true when we visited him a day before his passing. A CNA put his food next to his bed, and my husband pointed out that he couldn't feed himself and it seemed like he'd had a stroke. The nurse merely agreed that he might have had a stroke. That's just plain incompetent! We had a lot of other disturbing experiences during those few short days. If you want your loved ones to be badly treated or even worse, this so-called five star facility is the place to send them.

"Understaffed, Unresponsive, Brookdale Assisted Living Disappoints"
Recently, I had to swiftly move my mom from this institution. Having her here was a nightmare. Brookdale seems to place money ahead of providing a decent place for their residents. They barely have enough staff, with the few available being both unskilled and lazy. There were multiple times when my mom was neglected while she was bathing, which means they frankly abandoned her undressed in the restroom while cleaning herself for almost half an hour. The staff takes their sweet time when someone needs help, often taking 15 to 20 minutes to react to calls. When we approached the Administration about these issues, they didn’t pay any mind and made no effort to address the problems. The nursing team here is indolent and inadequately trained. So, I strongly suggest not choosing this Assisted Living Facility.

"Great Staff, But One Employee Lowers the Rating"
I was all set to rate this place with a full five stars because the staff is awesome. They're kind, smart, and always ready to help. But I had to drop it to 2.5 stars because of one worker. I wouldn't put this place at the top of your list unless you make sure this person doesn't interact with your family member.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living Option"
The place was neat and tidy. [Name removed] was super helpful, showing me everything I wanted to see. The staff and residents were nice. For respite care, it's a solid choice. I feel confident about my loved one's care.
