"Caring Staff Brightens Lives"
The staff is fantastic, caring, and kind. They make my dad happy by teasing him and encourage my mom. Wonderful!

"Mixed Experience: Some Caring Staff, Memory Care Lacking"
The staff were a mix - some were really nice, but others not so much. The memory care side didn't give enough attention. But our family member really enjoyed the live music! The meals they brought to the rooms were too expensive. We had to move our loved ones because they couldn't give the memory care they needed. If our loved one was more independent, it might have been okay."

"Mixed Experience: Friendly Staff, Tough Food, Great Amenities"
Things are mostly good. Staff's super nice to my aunt. Her biggest gripe's the food. Meat's too hard to chew, sometimes even with a knife. But besides that, it's a cool place with awesome stuff to do. I'd say check out Brookdale El Camino Gardens.

"Headline"
We chose this place because it's close for Dad. Staff is friendly, facility is pleasant. Refund process was slow.

"Great experience at Brookdale El Camino highly recommended for seniors"
Our mom was never easy to please, so we were worried about moving her to Brookdale El Camino. To our surprise, she adjusted really well to her new home. The staff there is super friendly and helpful, making her feel special. Her room is nice and comfortable, and the whole place is welcoming. We're truly thankful to everyone at Brookdale for helping both our mom and us through this change. [Name removed] especially went above and beyond to support us and answer our many questions. We’d definitely recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for a good senior living option for a loved one.

"Friendly staff and clean, but feels more like a nursing home"
I visited this place, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. The facility looked clean and nice, but it was quite large. The room I saw was really nice, but the overall feel was more like a nursing home rather than an assisted living place. I suggest that families visit several places before deciding.

"Brookdale Provided Loving Care; Mom Was Happy in Her Final Months"
We moved our mother into this facility in January 2017. She was not happy about it at first. She had spent almost six weeks in Life Care for physical therapy, and I didn’t want to keep her there because of the cost and other reasons. I knew the director of Brookdale and the nursing director personally, which helped. My mom was resistant but agreed to a two-month respite stay to start. She had some health issues but was mostly independent and only needed help with dining. The food was excellent. Despite her initial desire to leave Brookdale after the two months, she called me about five weeks in, saying she wanted to stay and loved it. I was so relieved. Over time, she became more comfortable and grew fond of the staff, who also loved her. One of my main concerns was having to move her again if her needs increased. [Removed] and [Removed] assured me this wouldn’t happen, and it didn’t. While I can’t name everyone outstanding on the staff, some great ones include [Removed] and all three [Removed]. Mom passed away on July 12 from stage 4 cancer, which was only discovered in early May. Brookdale increased her care level with help from Suncrest Hospice. I made many friends among the staff and residents, and even though mom has passed, I plan to stay connected with this facility. Things were occasionally hectic, but they always made sure to address any requests. I only wish my mom could have spent more time here because she was so happy.

"Mixed experience at Brookedale Assisted Living: Room for Improvement"
Thanks to A Place for Mom for helping us find this place. Things are mostly good, but there's room for improvement. I paid for January and February, but next month's bill said I hadn't paid. When I asked, they said it was a mistake. I got my mom a TV remote, but it's still not programmed. The staff is nice, but they could be more attentive. They care about my mom's happiness, and I feel okay with her being there. She loves the food and feels treated like royalty. I picked Brookedale because it's close and affordable.
