"Proceed with Caution: Lack of Medical Oversight in Assisted Living"
The place looks nice with pretty gardens and paths to walk on. They have lots of things to do if your family member wants to join in. The people who work there are nice, and the food is alright. The big issue is that they don't watch over the healthcare and medicine part very well. They went over six weeks without nurses checking things, and my family member got mixed up with their medicine. I told the boss about it, but they didn't do anything to help. If you're thinking about this place, ask about the rules for having nurses around and make sure they're following them. And don't stop checking up on it.

"Excellent Assisted Living with Welcoming Staff and Activities"
We chose this place because of the friendly staff and its atmosphere. They have activities like outdoor events, fitness programs, and movies. They are good at interacting with and getting to know my loved one. Communication could be better. Overall, I would suggest it to other families.

"Mixed Feelings: Friendly Staff, Short on Help, Average Value"
My family member stayed briefly. The staff were kind but understaffed. They were supportive overall. The cost matched the service.

"Mixed experience with staff turnover and food quality at facility."
Staff turnover affects consistency; spacious, clean, but food quality concerns.

"Kind Staff, Slow Service Due to COVID, Mom Happy Here"
The workers are really nice and friendly. Mom says everyone is super kind. Because of COVID, they don't have enough people, so sometimes it takes longer for them to help you.

"Assisted Living Review Summary"
This place is organized and secure. They handle Covid precautions well. The services are good, and the staff is great, but they need more help, especially at night. The food is alright but gets repetitive. They offer a decent amount of activities like bingo. The cost seems fair compared to other places.

"Positive Efforts"
Overall, I think they're doing a good job. The caregivers are really caring and open. The nurses, administration, and all the staff are wonderful. But the only problem is they don't communicate as much as they could. For example, my mom falls a lot, and they only tell us about major falls, not minor ones. It's frustrating not knowing about her health. On the bright side, they're trying to fix the communication issues.

"Great First Impressions at Assisted Living Facility"
We liked meeting with her and going on the tour. She answered most of our questions really well. The place looks clean and the staff we met were nice. Since this was our first tour, we don't have anything to compare it to yet.

"Neglected Care at Brookdale Lakewood"
My mom stayed at Brookdale Lakewood for five months before she passed away. Unfortunately, this place had constant problems. Despite many promises, things never improved. We paid extra for assistance, but my mom rarely received it. I visited her often and saw firsthand how neglected she was. If you’re considering this facility for a family member, be vigilant—otherwise, they’ll be left mostly on their own.

"Negligence and Mixed Feelings in Assisted Living"
My mom lives in this small community, and she has a cute studio. I have mixed feelings. They’ve been short-staffed, and I’ve complained because they said her call light was broken. [removed] has been a big help; when I couldn’t reach corporate, I called her, and she helped me get in touch with them. One day, my mom called for an hour and a half to use the restroom, and she finally did it herself, risking a fall. They said her call light was fixed, but it happened again, and she fell, waiting 30-45 minutes for help. Luckily, she crawled to her cell phone at 90 years old and called the front desk. I think this is negligent and fixable. The facility itself is nice, and her room is always clean. They do her laundry and make her bed. She gets three good meals a day, and they try to engage her with activities.

"No kitchens in units, citing state law"
The apartments don't have kitchens. They told me it's because of a law for all assisted living places in the state.

"A Pleasant Visit with Dietary Options"
This place looked nice when we visited. The person who showed us around was friendly. They seem to cater to different dietary needs. It's just a bit farther than we wanted.
