"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Littleton Assisted Living Facility"
I think this place is good to consider. There were a few things that could be better: 1) Sometimes they didn't have enough staff, especially on weekends. 2) They need to improve how they handle laundry; my mom's clothes got lost once. Overall, my time at Brookdale Littleton was pretty positive.

"Friendly caregivers and newfound happiness make this place feel like home!"
I had some issues with a few caregivers at first. But things got better, and now the caregivers and I are really friendly. We worked out the problems. I'm very happy living here now, and I hate having to leave all the friends I've made.

"Friendly staff despite challenges, overall positive assisted living experience."
Since I got here, people have been nice. Not everything was perfect, but they tried hard despite money and staff problems. Overall, it's been good.

"Great One-Story Assisted Living with Nice Amenities"
This place is all on one floor, and I really like that. The room sizes are okay, but they could use a one-bedroom option. The layout is nice, and the dining area feels friendly. I really liked the big exercise area. The cost seems reasonable too.

"Mixed Experience: Helpful Staff, Outdated Building, Limited Pet Policy"
The people giving the tour were really nice. They helped me understand everything and didn't leave any of my questions unanswered. But they couldn't let my mom bring her dog along, which was disappointing. Also, the building seemed old-fashioned.

"Comfortable new home, pleased overall; food could improve."
My mom recently moved here and things are going well. She likes the people she lives with, and the staff are doing a good job helping her. There are activities every week that keep her busy and interested. The only thing she doesn't like is the food she thinks it could be better.

A Tough Decision
"Hidden costs and poor communication ruin assisted living experience"
After visiting this assisted living facility three times, we thought it would be perfect for my 91-year-old mom, who's still really sharp. It's close to our house, it's got small apartments and a big courtyard. But then, after they evaluated her, they said she needed $2000 a month in extra care services - stuff her doctors say she doesn't need! The place charges extra for things like shower help and getting dressed, even though my mom can do all that herself with her walker. We also didn't like how they wanted an extra $589 a month just to give her one pill. And they never told us it would take an extra $400 a month to meet her vegetarian diet! After three days without hearing from them, a different nurse said they could look at my mom's needs again, but I think it was too late. We haven't heard from the nice salesperson since. This place is under new management and we didn't feel good about that. Really disappointed with how things turned out. They need better communication and to be more honest. We ended up having to find a new place for my mom really quickly because of them. If you go here, make sure to get a clear cost for everything up front and go to all evaluations, even if they don't say you should. It's a shame this didn't work out.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
My husband was only there five days before going to the hospital for heart problems. They accepted him despite his illness. Care for someone that sick wasn't good. He was in the hospital for two weeks and then had to go to a nursing home. Brookdale was nice, but only if he could walk and care for himself. They should be more careful who they accept. The managers helped us a lot, especially Angela, the sales rep. If he gets better, I hope he can go back there.
