"Friendly and Secure Assisted Living Community"
We chose this place because it’s close to home and has good security. It's a great community. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. The environment is welcoming. Everyone makes an effort to know all the residents. Even the receptionist visits my mom.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff at Brookdale Monument Valley Park"
We picked Brookdale Monument Valley Park because the staff seemed really involved, friendly, and helpful. There have been a few issues, but they handled everything well. They always have time to talk when I call and address my concerns. He doesn’t love the food since it’s more like cafeteria style, which he’s not used to. I like that it’s a smaller place and the location is great. They have been very accommodating. I would recommend it to others looking for a place.

"Great Value and Good Service at Brookdale Monument"
We picked Brookdale Monument because it's a great deal for the price. Overall, if I had to choose again, I'd still go with Brookdale. The rooms are a good size, and the bathrooms are huge and easy to use with a wheelchair or walker. I just wish the shower was a bit bigger. They seem a little short on staff sometimes, so the laundry or cleaning doesn't always happen when they say it will. But if I mention it or have any problems, they fix it quickly. I'd recommend Brookdale to others.

"A great place for mom's care!"
This is a nice community for care. The staff was willing to help me with our questions about the care offered. We liked how clean everything was and the menu of healthy meals. The activities are great for those who want to join in. We wanted a different room for mom. We recommend that families tour this community for care.

"Great Community for My Parents!"
My parents are really happy to be part of a nice community. We have no complaints about their care or experience. The staff gets my parents involved in activities and takes them on scenic drives or shopping trips with other residents. The apartment they have is spacious and has a nice view from the window. I appreciate how all the Brookdale facilities work together to find the best fit for their residents.

"A Fantastic Community"
My dad's been staying at this community, and I don't have any complaints so far. He's made himself comfortable in his new living space, enjoys the food, and participates in activities with other residents throughout the week. Overall, things are going really well, and I would definitely recommend it.

"A Solid Assisted Living Option"
We visited this place after our advisor suggested it. The staff showed us around nicely, explaining activities, living spaces, and available rooms. They were professional and prepared. I think it's a great community, but it's quite big. We were hoping for something smaller and cozier.

"Brookdale Review: Not Great but Not Terrible"
My mom lives here. Some of the workers have been really mean at times. The place is in a great area, but the building itself is kinda old even though it's been fixed up. The food doesn't look very tasty. Overall, though, it's a good deal, I guess. But I'm worried if the cost will just keep getting higher, because that's what I keep hearing about Brookdale. My sister seems to be a lot more okay with the place than I am, to be fair.

"Slight Billing Issue, But My Dad Enjoys Life Here!"
We encountered a slight problem with the payment process, but they're open to hearing us out and fixing the problem. The food is pretty tasty, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. There are activities every day, but they do seem to be more for women. The property is neat and well taken care of. The staff get on great with my dad and us, his family.

"Great respite stay for Mom!"
My mom stayed here for a little while, and she was very happy. The staff made her comfortable by bringing meals to her room. Her personal care worker helped her with everything she needed. The staff also supported her care worker with anything required. While Mom was there, her care worker told me every day that everything was going well.

"Kind staff, good place, but not the right fit."

"Overall Review"
This place has been pretty good overall. We had a few issues, but most got sorted out with just a phone call. Some of the mistakes were kinda silly, like someone not paying attention. The food is really good, my mom loves it a lot. There's plenty to do, and she stays busy most of the time. The nurses are better than okay, they're caring. Sometimes they miss small things, but they catch them later. My mom's always safe, but things could be a bit tighter. Everyone's really nice and treats all the residents well. It's good for everyone. It's a really good place for people who need the help they offer. Just remember, no place is perfect, but this one tries.

"Great Place with Caring Staff!"
Brookdale Monument Valley Park is awesome! The staff are super helpful and make everything really positive. They take great care of the residents and keep the place clean and nice. The only problem I had was with the billing system—it could be easier to set up. You just need to watch your bills for the first few months to sort it out.

"Perfect place for dad with excellent one-on-one care"
I wish there were more activities for men. They have many painting and craft activities that seem more for women, but my dad isn’t interested in those. The staff is excellent and keeps me updated on everything. They take great care of their residents and provide lots of one-on-one attention because there aren’t many residents. Brookdale Monument Valley Park is the perfect place for my dad.

"Moderately Priced Facility with Personal Care and Activities"
A cost of $9000 a month ($6200 plus $2500 for Papa's additional needs). The place is more like a smaller, Southern-style mansion. Lots of fun activities, near Monument Park.

"Feels Like Home at Brookdale Place!"
Brookdale Place is tucked away in the trees with an amazing view of Pike’s Peak! The view is fantastic, but the staff is even better! You won’t find a more caring group of people than the staff at Brookdale Place. From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The menu options make you feel like you’re eating at a fancy restaurant, and the living areas are cozy and welcoming. The staff is always around to answer questions and they really understand the residents’ needs. There are always fun activities and bus trips around town. Your loved one will find no better place to live than Brookdale Place. We’ve already told our kids this is where we want to be if we ever need an assisted living facility! Ask for Shari Hall for an awesome tour!

"Brookdale Place Good but Staff Changes Disturb Care Quality"
Brookdale Place is a great assisted living spot in terms of their facilities, services, management, and staff. My relative seems to really enjoy staying here. Everything looks new and well cared for, thanks to their recent big overhaul. The main issue that I've encountered, though, is how frequently their nursing team changes. There was one sudden switch that really threw off the residents. They could've done this differently. I noticed the care quality has gone down a bit since then. But, I understand that getting used to a new staff can be hard, so I'm hoping things will get better once they adjust.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
Alright, here's how it is - if you're going into an assisted living facility because you've got a sharp mind but your health is uncertain, this place might be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're an everyday person who only needs a bit of assistance, this could work out as well. This place doesn't do a great job at engaging the guys though - they don't have enough activities that attract men. The food isn't half bad. And you can't beat the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, though there aren't enough of them. Mind you, they haven't been on the level all the time. I've noticed that the therapists don't drop in as frequently as I expected. Also, the whole chain of command seems a bit jumbled - messages don't seem to get passed around amongst the staff members.

"**"Excellent Food Despite Staffing Challenges"**"
The assisted living facility appears to be short-staffed. However, the food is excellent, and there's an outdoor area. Parking wasn't a problem. We did encounter some CNAs who were a bit rough with my loved one, but the management promptly addressed the issue.

"Charges and Chaos in "For-Profit" Assisted Living"
The people who work here were really nice and did a good job of keeping the place tidy. The meals were okay; no major complaints about them. But what bothered me was how they kept charging me for everything, which is why we didn't stick around. The person in charge didn't seem too interested in my concerns about this. What was really a pain was the constant stealing in the memory wing. People would just go into others' rooms and take things, it was ridiculous how many things we lost and gained. You can really see the difference between a place that's about making money and one that's about helping people.

"Sheri was great and very attentive to my mom's needs!"
Sheri was amazing and asked me a LOT of questions about my mom and what she needed. I liked that the facility was smaller; I think it has 64 rooms. The location is great, and it has a cozy, "homey" feel. I got to see the staff interact with each other and the residents, and it was very positive. You can tell these people really like their jobs. I really like this place!

""Concerns over Safety in Surrounding Locale""
The place looked good but we didn't like where it was. We saw a park right across the road where what looked like homeless folks were hanging around. It just didn't seem too secure. Our decision wasn't really about the facility or the people there. It was more about where it was.

"Great Service and Friendly Staff!"
I’ve never been to the place, but the service I got is definitely a 5. My sister, who lives in Colorado Springs, has been there and thinks it’s nice and well-kept. The staff is really friendly. It’s expensive, but I guess the value is pretty good—it’s hard to say. My mom lives there now. I know they have activities, but they haven’t gotten my mom involved much yet. They’ve been super helpful. It took only about three days to move my mom from the rehab center to Brookdale on very short notice.
