"Concerns About Staff Behavior at Grandma's Assisted Living Facility"
I'm not fond of this place. When visiting my grandma, a worker named was really unkind and smelled strongly of cigarettes, which upset my grandma. She seemed and appeared like she was either drunk or high, which really irked me about this place. I'm currently working to move my grandma somewhere else. I tried conversing with the staff about not wanting there anymore, but my grandma says she's still there. How can someone who's drunk or high properly care for my grandma? I used to hear nice things about the staff, but this visit has completely changed my perspective. One would hope their family members are in a facility where they feel properly cared for, not maltreated and anxious about how they'll be treated.

"Assisted Living Facility with Room for Improvement"
The property and community are nice. However, staff could improve. We often have to remind them multiple times to address things like cleaning sheets and rooms properly. Overall, it's okay, but could be better with a few improvements.

"Sunrise Creek: High Costs, Poor Services, and Cold Management"
My mom was in Sunrise Creek during her last year. It was awful. The person in charge didn't seem to care at all, the cost was way too high, and the help they were giving just wasn't good enough. My mom had memory problems for about half a year before she died. I really, really wish Montrose had a better place for her during that time. I don't know if things are different now with Montage Creek, but it would have to be way better than what Sunrise Creek was like.

"Not Recommended for Anyone"
Brookdale seemed impressive at first due to its decor, but it was poorly managed. They charged exorbitant fees without providing proper services. The staff was friendly but often stood around chatting. Clothes laid out in the morning were sometimes dirty. Housekeeping was subpar, and a dirty toilet seat was the final straw. Beware of promises and questionable charges. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

"Tricked with False Discounts, Extra Charges, and Pharmacy Kickbacks!"
This place tricks you with phony discounts to get you interested, but once you're there they hit you with tons of extra costs, charging things like $839 per month just to give my mom her prescriptions! Although my mom can manage her medicines herself, they won't allow it. Plus, if you bring your own prescriptions from your trusted pharmacists, they ask for additional fees for that as well. They force you to get your medicines from their preferred source. It seems like they're getting paid by this pharmacy they push on you! Can that even be legal??

"Nice Community, Small Rooms, High Cost"
This place seemed nice when I visited. The only problems I had were the small rooms in the dementia unit and the high cost. The rooms looked like college dorms. The staff I met were friendly, and they have daily activities.

I really like how nice everyone is at Brookdale Sunrise Creek. The place is super clean and they have lots of fun things to do. I especially enjoy going to bingo nights. The food is usually really tasty too!

"Unsatisfied With Brookdale's Care and Service Provision"
Right now, we're not very happy. Our mom now requires grown-up diapers, but Brookdale says it's not their responsibility to provide them for her - it's up to us, her family. Today's a holiday and it seems like she might have a UTI. We're told no one can do anything until tomorrow. It makes us wonder, what happens to people without families here? Do they just have to put up with it? It's making us feel like we can't even leave town for a short trip!

"Staff Great, Needs Tech Upgrade for Family Communication"
So far, I'm happy with the staff at the assisted living facility. They seem attentive and it feels like a good place for my loved one. However, I wish they were a bit more up to date with technology. It would be nice to have better communication with family members. I'd also like to receive an email with the monthly activities electronically.

At Emeritus at Sunrise Creek, everyone was really helpful to my dad. They cared a lot and were very concerned. I didn't have any problems at all.
