"Inadequate Care and Services at Overpriced Assisted Living Facility"
Avoid this place at all costs. At first glance, this living facility may seem warm and inviting. I admit, the property is beautifully maintained. However, if you truly care about your loved ones, I would strongly recommend seeking elsewhere. Having experienced the care here with both of my parents, my heart breaks for anyone living here. There is a severe lack of resources, with false claims of help, activities, and medical care on the premises. The number of staff members is dangerously low, such that they often struggle to even distribute medication to residents timely. Most meals consisted of cold sandwiches, even during winter, with the rare slow-cooked roast. Meals that were supposed to be served warm were frequently served cold. Furthermore, adequate training for staff seems to be absent and the occasional dedicated employees that come through don't stick around long. This, supposedly devoted, hands-on business owner barely shows up and is far from helpful when dealing with complaints or concerns. Instead of listening genuinely, he deflects and chides you. More importantly, their caring services for my mom completely dropped off once hospice got involved. We'd often find her parched, hungry, and grimacing in pain. One worker even had the audacity to tell me that it was hospice's job to care for her now. Then, why were we shelling out $4,000 a month for their services? I think once upon a time, this facility may have been fair, and initially for us it wasn't too awful, but things took a downward turn and not for the better.

"Assisted Living Facility Dubious Care Standard and Poor Response"
Avoid This Facility. Although it seems cozy and inviting, I can't endorse the standard of care. Yes, the place is beautiful, but don't be fooled if you want superior care for your loved ones. After placing both my parents here, all I feel is sympathy for other residents. They trick you by overstating their services, activities and medical staff. They are severely understaffed, leading to inconsistent medication dispensation. Cold sandwiches are the norm for meals, regardless of how cold the weather is, only broken by equally cold roast meals. Employee training is literally zero. Caring workers are rare, and if found, don't stick around for long. The absent owner doesn't take criticism well and becomes defensive. Complaints are brushed off and you're lectured instead. They all but abandoned my mother when she needed hospice care, leaving her hungry, thirsty, and in pain. One staff member even shifted the responsibility of care to the hospice. Why did we pay them $4,000.00 monthly then, I wonder? I suspect years ago, it was a fabulous place and at first, we thought it tolerable. Sadly, things changed and definitely not for the better.

"Uneasy with impersonal caregiver-resident relations"
I wasn't really at ease when I visited this place. I thought I would enjoy it, seeing how most people leave the place happy. But, I didn't. One thing that bothered me especially was how the caregivers dealt with the residents. It wasn't very friendly or personal.

"Peaceful and Supportive Assisted Living for Elderly Loved Ones"
My 92-year-old mother stayed briefly at Catherine's before passing away. We wanted a calm, homelike place for her final days. The memory center was too large and couldn't meet her medical needs. Despite being busy, the caregivers were kind and helpful. They supported us well during Hospice. Catherine's is perfect if you seek a quiet, peaceful home-like environment.

"Calm, Caring, and Like Home"
My mom, who was 92 years old, stayed at Catherine's for a short time before she passed away. We wanted a place that felt calm and home-like since she was not well. The memory center we were in was big, but it couldn't handle her medical needs. The house itself was wonderful, and the caregivers were kind and supportive. They were busy with many tasks, but during Hospice, they were always there for us, taking great care of my mom and our family. I highly recommend Catherine's if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful place that feels like home.

"Catharine's Home: Nice Place, Needs Better Memory Care Support"
Catharine's Quality of Life Home is in a nice area. But the people who work there aren't good at taking care of residents with advanced memory issues. So, the care could be improved.

"Pretty Place, Could Use Better Care"
Catharine's Quality of Life Home sits in a nice area. But, their team isn't prepared to aid residents with serious memory issues, so the care could use some improvement.

"Catherine's is a wonderful choice!"
We visited several places before choosing Catherine's for my dad. While they all had good things, the homey feel, caring staff, and their commitment to keeping memory care residents' dignity and quality of life really impressed us. Since he moved in, Dad is happier than he has been in years. The smaller setting was a perfect fit for him. He is social and active without feeling overwhelmed. The staff takes great care of him and is very patient with any issues he faces. The communication and support are excellent! We get calls whenever Dad has health concerns. We feel like the staff is working with us to provide him the best care. We can't say enough good things about Catherine's Homes.
