"Communication and Hygiene Woes at The Chateau Assisted Living"

A few months back, I praised The Chateau for my 90-year-old mom with PK. Now, after 4 months, we're seeking a new home. The management at The Chateau is awful. They hardly talk with the staff. Staff turnover is constant, signaling big issues. Mom hasn't had a shower in 9 days. She's had to sleep on dirty sheets because of her incontinence. I could list more, but I'll stop here. If you love your family, look elsewhere.

"A Pleasant Visit"

I visited my grandma at the assisted living place recently, and the staff were super nice. Her room was really clean, and we had uninterrupted time with her except for when she took her medicine. The place felt like a cozy home, not what I expected from a senior facility. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'm looking forward to my next visit in a few months.

"Staff Mistreatment and Lack of Activities at Assisted Living Facility"

This facility is one of the worst places for your elderly family members. The New Administrator and the owner, who I've seen in action, are really horrible to their staff. Because they never have enough employees, the residents hardly ever have activities to do. Yes, there are a few good staff members, but there are also a number of not so good ones. I must commend the QMAP staff, though, who are always great every time I visit and are always ready to provide assistance when it's needed.

"Administrator Attempts Unfair Arrest of Visiting Family Member"

Visited my family in this place. While I was in the parking lot chatting on my phone, the manager came over. She asked what I was doing there. When I told her, she told me I had to get out of there. I said sure, wished her well, and took off. I parked a little way down the street, planning to go back and see my family. But then, she told the cops I was threatening her and using harsh language - words I don't even use! She wanted them to put me behind bars for hurting her and bugging her. All this just because I wanted to visit my family. Terrible. This isn't how you treat the people who are related to your residents.

"Promises Unkept at Assisted Living"

My mom lives in a small place with 26 people. It’s called assisted living, but it feels like a bunch of rules stop it from being that. I’m really let down by the difference between what they said would happen and what’s actually going on. It takes two whole days for my mom to get her medicine, which is just silly. They told us she’d have rides to go places, but last week they said they can’t anymore because there aren’t enough workers. They also said someone would be there to help her with her Medicaid stuff, but nobody is. The place is nice, sure, but they’re not doing a lot of what they promised. The workers are friendly, but some seem like they need more training. The boss lady does all the cooking and shopping, but I think she should get a chef. Mom thinks the food tastes okay, but it’s kind of plain. They do activities every day to keep everyone busy. And every two weeks, they take a trip in a van.

"Promises Unfulfilled in Assisted Living Facility"

My mom lives in this small place that only houses 26 people. It's supposed to be like a helpful home, but they have a whole lot of rules that don't really make it feel like they provide much help at all. I'm not happy because what they said it would be like isn't the same as what it's actually like. They need two days just to give out medicine which doesn't make sense to me. I was also told she'd get rides wherever she needed to go, but then they said they don't have enough staff to do that anymore. They even said there would be someone to help my mom sign up for Medicaid and there isn't. It's a pretty place and like it, but they made promises they aren't keeping. The people who work here are nice but some could learn a bit more about their jobs. The person in charge makes all the food and does all the shopping, but it would be better if they got a professional chef. My mom says the food tastes okay, but could use more flavors. They do keep everyone busy with activities every day. Every couple of weeks, they take the residents out in a van for a little field trip.
