"Mixed feelings about facility constant changes, communication issues, and costs."

Over the years, there have been many frustrations with this facility. There are too many changes in staff, from the top executives to the kitchen workers. Communication between the staff and residents' families is lacking. When they do communicate, it's often with the wrong people. They give one price for care, but then increase it a week later, and then again after another week. It's puzzling how they can be so wrong about estimating a person's level of care in just one month. Don't expect a call back anytime soon. While it may seem like a nice place initially, it ends up being more expensive and prostrating than facilities that are initially pricier. It's advisable to explore other options.

"Cozy Assisted Living: Small, Spacious, and Friendly Staff"

The people who work here are really friendly! We chose this place because it's not too big, it's near my mom, and the rooms are big and nice.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living Facility"

I discovered the place on my own, but you were really helpful. It's nice here, and I think other people would like it too.

"Supportive staff, mixed experience, but value for money overall."

The staff was really helpful and got hospice care for my relative so she could stay. Every place has good and bad things. None are perfect. In the end, it was worth the money.

"Friendly Staff, Short-Staffed Situation"

HighPointe Assisted Living and Memory Care has friendly staff, but they're short-staffed. Be aware of this.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

We had two big problems when our loved ones moved in. The director left a bad impression by lying about our loved one's lost medication. The day-to-day staff is great, but our loved one doesn't always join activities. We're unsure if it's due to understaffing.

"HighPointe: A Clean, Friendly Home for Loved Ones"

HighPointe is a pretty nice place for your family member. I think other people should think about HighPointe for their family too. It’s neat, well-put-together, and the people who work there are nice. They help with taking medicine, getting dressed, and washing up. You get three meals every day there.

"Good virtual tour, but pricey."

We took a virtual tour of HighPointe. It seemed nice. The only problem was the cost.

"Lovely facility but too large for wandering loved one"

HighPointe is a really nice place and the tour was awesome, but it was just too big for my loved one who likes to walk around a lot.

"Nice Place, But Not What We Needed"

We checked out Highpointe and it was really nice, but super busy around there. The cost to start living there was kinda steep when we were looking. They've got elevators, but I wanted a place without stairs, so it wasn't the right fit for us.

"Mixed Experience at HighPointe Assisted Living"

We visited HighPointe before Covid and took our time deciding. It’s close to where we live, but the assisted and independent living sections were just okay. However, I found troubling reviews about their memory care facility. My wife’s friend, whose child worked in the kitchen there, mentioned Covid cases among the employees.

"Consistent Costs and Safety Measures Make Highpointe a Reliable Choice"

We picked Highpointe because of the fixed cost, making budgeting easy. We can visit Dad and talk through glass or outside with masks, which is good. They've been cautious about COVID cases and did a good job keeping residents safe. Everyone's vaccinated, which is a relief. Dad isn't a fan of the food; he says it lacks flavor. I haven't been inside, but I'd recommend it to others.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living: Bright Rooms, Food Appreciated"

We really enjoy the activities they have here, and the rooms are nice and sunny. But the rooms would be better if some didn't have carpet because it's tough with wheelchairs. The food is satisfying and mostly good overall.

"HighPointe's Expensive "Memory Care" Is Inadequate and Unprofessional"

My mother-in-law had a terrible time in "Memory Care" at HighPointe. When I say "Memory Care," it's really because they don't have the right training for Alzheimer's or dementia patients, even though they claim to. My mother-in-law lived there for 5 years. When she started being unable to control her bowels, the staff would call me almost every day, telling me they needed my help because she had messed on the floor and they had to clean it up again. This was despite us paying $5000-$6000, and then eventually $7000 a month. We eventually found a better, more affordable place that specializes in Alzheimer's and dementia care, and I told HighPointe three times that we were moving her out on September 28th. But on October 2nd, they took our $7000 payment for October from her checking account. They claimed that we hadn't given them a written notice, even though we had been quite flexible and understanding with them but didn't receive the same treatment. I strongly advise against choosing HighPointe for dementia or Alzheimer's care- it's both a poor service and very expensive.

"HighPointe Denver: Overpriced, Undertrained, Unprofessional"

My mother-in-law stayed at HighPointe Denver’s Memory Care for five years. The staff on the secure second floor seemed to have just basic training. They often called me late at night saying, “Uh, your mother-in-law needs you,” while I could hear her pleading for help in the background. They didn’t know how to distract her or calm her down. The cost was really high. When my mom needed more help because she couldn’t use the bathroom by herself, they raised her monthly bill from $5,000 to more than $7,000! The worst part was when we told them three times that we were going to move her out. We moved her out on a certain date, and then they took $7,000 out of her bank account for the next month! They said it was because we didn’t give them a written notice. But for the past five months, they had been giving her medicine without a care plan signed by me. They never said they needed my written signature before. It feels like they took the $7,000 from her unfairly. We were patient and fair with them for five years, paying around $360,000. And in the end, they charged us an extra
