"Heartbreaking Decline at Inglenook Assisted Living"
Inglenook Assisted Living is by far the worst place to send your cherished ones. Not even four months ago, my healthy mother weighed a solid 125 lbs. Sadly, her weight plummeted down to only 98 lbs and she had to be put on hospice care. Only a few weeks later, she passed away. On a monthly basis, we were shelling out a larges sum of cash for these so-called 'assisted living' facilities. Surprisingly, this place showed no effort to communicate with us - the family. It even seemed like they did not have any interest or concern in what the residents were doing with their time. The director, whose name has been censored, was consistently unreliable and dishonest. If you truly want your loved ones to receive proper care, it's best to search elsewhere and not choose Inglenook. The establishment is dated and not well maintained.'

"Needs Urgent Updates and Improvements"
The community is quite old, and it shows its age. Some units are being renovated, but most feel like they're from the 1970s. I wasn't happy with how my dad's unit looked. He had to change rooms suddenly, and the one he moved into was really dirty. Also, it took three days for him to get his emergency pendant after he moved in. He fell during those three days while he was getting out of the shower, and the grab bar he tried to use came out of the wall. They fixed it fast, but it just proves that they need to update all the units before someone gets seriously hurt.

"Assisted Living Tour Feedback"
Our family visited the facility for a tour. The staff were friendly, but it felt chaotic with papers everywhere. They mentioned ongoing remodeling, but it seems stalled for years. The place looked dirty, and staff seemed uneasy about resident opinions. The dining room was chaotic with storage on stage. It was dim and gloomy with most lights off at midday. No activities were seen; overall, it felt depressing.

"Good first impression but not ideal for mobility issues."
We liked Inglenook at first. It's a big place and quite nice. They offer a lot of things. But, we didn't pick them because their bathrooms have steps, and the rooms with patios require stepping down. If someone has trouble moving around, this might not be the best place for them.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
The courtyard and balcony were nice! The one-bedroom apartments were updated and a good size. It's in an old city building, a bit far from me. The price is high and you have to pay for phone and power. Also, there's a fee for driving Mom to appointments in [location removed]. They seemed okay with Mom moving in next week after an assessment.

"Spacious Rooms, Worth a Look"
We like Inglenook. It's an older place, so there are a few scratches, but the rooms are big and nice. Just remember to stay on top of things – don't assume everything is handled. I recommend checking it out.

"Disappointment with Misleading Costs and Inconsistent Quality at Facility"
I was hoping to find one good thing to give at least one star, but I can't. The costs listed are extremely confusing because they leave out certain fees we didn't know about until after living here for a month. The staff changes so fast that you can't keep track of who they are. The activities are pretty much 'do-it-yourself', and the food can either be good or bad, though the dining room is pretty well-run overall. It's definitely not the best place out there...

"Be skeptical: Old, expensive facility, poor management, but good food"
Yikes, some reviews seem sketchy and fake. There were four 4-star reviews all on the same day! This place is super old and beat up. They've tried to make it look new, but it just has loads of white paint on top of old, brown doors and trim, with that popcorn stuff on the ceiling. The people in charge don't even know who lives there, and the head lady only comes out of her office to go to the kitchen. The staff is nice and really tries, but they're not treated well by the nurse, who just waits to catch them or the residents messing up. It’s all kinda tense and doesn’t feel welcoming. The activities, or rather, the lack thereof, are just sad and boring. There's no excitement, no brain exercises, no cool activities led by an actual activities leader (there's an office for one, but it's always dark and shut tight). The only good thing about this place is the food. The meals are generally yummy, with lots of options, and eating is actually fun. But be warned...it's more expensive than newer, better places. We moved our parent to a way better place, with tons of amazing stuff to do, for less money! There are extra fees here that they hit you with after you move in. The staff is overworked and they don't hire enough people to save money. Things like laundry, trash pick-up, and room cleaning are supposed to be included in the cost but they get neglected unless you ask about them. Seriously, you can find a better place for your loved one. You might have to search and it might mean moving a little farther from Brighton, but trust me, it's not worth just staying for the location.

"Great Staff, Nice Place, Not Quite Right for Mom"
I visited this place with my mom. The staff were nice and answered all our questions patiently. They had a big dining room and other common areas. The layout was good, and they had cool stuff for the residents. But, it didn't feel like the perfect fit for my mom in the end.

"A caring place for my loved one."
I really like the care he’s getting. The staff is great, and we appreciate that they are friendly and keep us updated on his progress. He is happy with the variety of meals offered. He enjoys the different activities available to help him connect with the other residents. We recommend this clean and nice environment for other families.

"Review: Outdated Facility with Uniform Rooms and Half-Size Stoves"
This place looks kind of dated and a little rundown. Both Independent Living and Assisted Living rooms are identical. If you move from Independent Living to Assisted Living, they just take away your stove. The stove, by the way, is only a half size model.

"Caring and Friendly Community"
This place is great because they take good care of people. The people who work there are really nice and always pay attention to what she needs. They make sure everything is okay for her all the time. If there's a problem, they fix it fast. The food is yummy, and she likes eating it. They also have fun things for her to do. We think other families should choose this place because of the good care and value.

"Great Assisted Living/Memory Care facility!"
How lucky we are to have this facility in Brighton! Inglenook just opened its Memory Care wing, and they really researched the best programs for this part of their Assisted Living community. The staff goes above and beyond to help your family member and meet everyone's needs. My husband is happy there, and the meals and snacks are very good. The doctors and nurses are great and made the move from home to Inglenook a wonderful experience for all of us. We love the room layout, the great room, dining room, and large patio areas. The small unit size allows for plenty of individual attention for your loved one.

"Mixed Service, Familiar Staff Dynamic"
Over the past year or two, lots of people have been leaving the kitchen staff, and it's made the food and service not as good. I hope they fix it soon, but it's been like this for a while. It's hard to keep good workers when things are like that. Other than that, though, the newer staff is really nice and helpful. The older staff seems a bit distant, and they start winding down before it's time to leave at 5 pm. They also seem to hire a lot of people who already have family working here. If your sister works here, you'll probably end up working here too. That's just how it goes in small towns, but it's alright here.

"Assisted living service needs improvement; staff friendly but inconsistent."
Turnover in the kitchen has been high lately, and it's affecting the quality of the food and service. Hopefully, they'll fix it soon, but it's been a problem for a while now. It's hard to find good people under these conditions. Other than that, the younger staff is really helpful and nice. The older staff can be a bit distant, and they tend to leave before quitting time. They also seem to hire people who are connected to current employees. If your sister or mom works there, you'll probably get a job too. It's just how things work in small towns, but it's alright here.

"Great care, but cleanliness and communication could improve."
The apartments could be a bit cleaner; it feels like they only do basic cleaning and don't dust enough. I think they should be more consistent. Some of the upper management seem to ignore families when we have questions. Other than that, I like the place, and my mom loves it. She’s happy, and they treat her really well, being kind to both her and our family.

It's only been a few weeks, so it's still new, but things are going well. The staff is friendly, and everything is kept very clean. They are quick to respond to needs. There’s more entertainment than needed, and they don’t pressure anyone to do more than they want. She seems pretty happy with the food so far.

"Very Happy with Inglenook At Brighton"
My brother and sister-in-law are really happy at Inglenook At Brighton. From what we’ve heard, it sounds like a great place. My sister-in-law’s Alzheimer’s is getting worse, which we expected, but my brother is doing much better. Having help takes a lot of stress off him.

"Decent Apartment, But Facility Location and Feel Could Improve"
I'm not too fond of where the place is located. The building felt a bit worn out and definitely had that 'assisted living' vibe. The apartment, though, was great with a large walk-in closet and a nicer bathroom with a larger countertop area than the ones at Northglenn. The bedroom only had a window air conditioner, they did mention they remove it during winter. The kitchen was okay.

"Helpful and Affordable Assisted Living with Caring Staff"
We're super happy with it. It's awesome to find something cheaper that's still good. Right now, I don't have any ideas for how they could make it better. The folks there really seem to care about the people they help. They're super nice and they helped me out a lot when my mom had surgery. They really go out of their way to make sure their patients are okay. We thought it was a great place. We enjoyed it and my mom loves being there.

"“Well-Maintained Assisted Living with Pet-Friendly Amenities”"
The assisted living facility is older, but it’s kept in good condition. Some rooms in the “Pet Hall” have their own outdoor patios, which a few residents have enclosed. I asked about the possibility of adding a retractable fence to create a grass space for dogs, and they allow residents to purchase their own medications.

""Kind Workers, High Cost: No Assurance of Stay If Broke""
The workers are super kind. It's over $3,000 every month for help and care. If your money runs out, they can't promise you'll still have a place to stay. They'll take Medicaid, but only after all your money is gone.
