"Assisted Living Facility Staff Need Better Covid Communication"
Make sure all staff know Covid rules. We couldn't see Grandma because a rude staff member. We got an email saying we could visit during the outbreak, but then we were kicked out. A staff member rudely told us to leave and come back when Covid was gone. We couldn't say goodbye properly. The staff member needs better training in dealing with families. Grandma passed away without anyone visiting. This should never happen.

"Assisted Living Review: Communication Needs Improvement"
The people who run the place don't always answer quickly when residents need help or families call. Even the workers who come from outside can tell there are problems. The food and dining service are good, and our family member is starting to like the activities as they get used to being there.

"Disappointing tour of facility shows carelessness during COVID"
We visited the assisted living facility in person and frankly, we weren't pleased. Too many residents were aimlessly walking around with no staff guiding them. This was during COVID, and it looked like anyone could just come and go. Nobody was checking temperatures or keeping track of who was visiting. Overall, we didn't feel welcomed at all.

"Great Assisted Living Experience!"
Until now, the people in charge have been really professional and helpful. My parents enjoy the food, and the servers are super friendly when they bring meals to their room. Maintenance is quick to respond and even helped hang up their TV and pictures when they moved in. The care team is great too—they're always available and deliver my parents' medicine on time. Overall, this place offers unbeatable value compared to other communities in the area. We did our research before choosing it.

"Avoid if You Value Diverse, Quality Meals"
I'm helping out my 90-year-old mom in her golden years. Every month, I spend $2500 for her small room and meals at this assisted living facility. The place seems lovely, but the food and the services related to it are really disappointing. They don't provide fresh fruit when it's in season. And every night, they serve the same meal - it's either chicken or pork. A lot of people living here are leaving because of this issue.

"Great place with friendly staff and homey feel!"
We are very happy with Lakewood Reserve so far. The staff has been really nice, from the receptionist to the sales director, cleaning crew, and nurses we met in the hallways. They all greeted my father-in-law with kindness and respect. The facility is very nice and has many activities to keep him busy while we're away. They provide the level of care he needs, it’s very quiet, and the residents we talked to seemed very happy. I have been to many assisted living facilities because my mom was a nurse and my grandmother lived in one for years. This place feels different; it’s warm and welcoming. I will review again after his short stay. I just hope he wants to come home with us after two weeks, because it really is that nice! It feels like a resort or a great place to be pampered, which is exactly what he deserves!

"Cozy Home-Like Assisted Living Near Shopping with Friendly Staff"
I checked out this place while searching for a spot for my dad. It seemed really nice. It feels more like a home than a big place. They were fixing it up when I visited, so I couldn’t see how it would look finished. The people working there were really friendly, and the folks living there looked happy. It’s close to Belmar's shops, so it’s easy for residents to go out and walk to places like restaurants and stores, including a Whole Foods. They gave us some homemade bread and olive oil to take home, which was yummy. It’s a bit pricey, and it was harder for me to get there from my house, so we ended up picking another place, but it was one of our favorites.

I really like the care at this place. The staff is friendly and really cares about the residents. However, the menu could use some work since they add too much salt. "Dissatisfied with Atria: Cleanliness and Staff Performance Lacking"
Atria is going through some big changes right now. The place isn't as clean as it used to be and the staff doesn't seem to care. Most of the time, they're rude or don't call back or even do what they're supposed to do. A lot of the people living here aren't happy about it. It's not what we thought we were paying for, which is disappointing. The chef is the only good thing about this place. The food is usually pretty great. Things better start getting better soon, otherwise we're moving out.

"Major Neglect at Atria Assisted Living Facility"
I spent a lot of time at this place with my parent in their memory care section until I found a better location for her. I saw lots of neglect going on. The people living there are not taken care of, cherished, or treated with the respect that they claim they'll provide. They don't have a lot of workers, and the ones they do have don't have the training to deal with the unique needs of a person with Alzheimer's or Dementia. Don't fall for their sales pitches - they are not equipped to care for every stage of Alzheimer's. They're barely a Level 1 facility. There are other places where you can feel secure that your loved one is being taken care of the right way. This place is not that!

"Friendly, caring staff, and great food!"
The staff is friendly and welcoming. They go the extra mile to make life easier for your loved ones. From the first tour to the days after we moved Mom in, the staff has been so helpful. They quickly helped with many things, like coordinating the transfer from rehab to assisted living and moving from one hospice to another. They made sure the apartment looked perfect and listened compassionately during this stressful time. The medical team on-site is amazing and helped us set up the right level of care. They gave us all the information we needed to make the best decisions. The food is good, fresh, and homecooked, and the restaurant team knows their customers. We couldn't be more pleased and grateful! The only suggestion I have for improvement is to train the food servers better on hygiene for handling cutlery and dinnerware. But honestly, if that's the worst thing to say about a place, it must be a great place!

"Wonderful Community with Friendly Staff and Great Care!"
Atria Inn at Lakewood is a fantastic community. They are always on top of things. My dad is in assisted living at Atria and feels very comfortable there. He moved from another Atria community in California, and the staff and residents here seem much friendlier. The food is high quality, and there are many choices available. The staff-to-resident ratio is excellent, so my dad never has to wait for help if he needs it. His medications are always given on time. He wears a safety bracelet, and there is an alarm in the bathroom. I can’t say enough good things about this community. There are no billing problems, and everything is very well organized.

The people who work at Atria at Lakewood really care about the residents. The only problem we have right now is that there isn't enough space to sit comfortably in the dining room since the upstairs one is closed. "Ideal Home for Mom"
This place is really nice and clean. The people who work here are super nice and they really care about the people who live here. It's a bit more expensive than some other places, but the apartments are big and laid out well. They have different levels of help depending on what you need. They have lots of activities, but my mom wishes there were even more for people who aren't as outgoing. The food is supposed to be really good, but my mom thinks it could be better. The staff in the kitchen and dining room changes a lot, but it doesn't seem to mess things up too much. Overall, I think this place is perfect for my mom. "I really like the care she gets at Atria!"
Atria is a great place! My brother was worried at first because they take residents to the hospital every time they fall. Now that she’s with hospice, they just call them instead. I really like the care she’s getting at Atria. The staff is very involved with everyone. They make sure everyone is active and engaged. She enjoys good meals. When we visited, they were refurbishing the property and eating in the hall, but they also had fun art projects going on. The food looks fresh and tasty.

The place has set times for meals, it's a bit cramped, but they've nicely decorated the place. They have both assisted living and independent living residents. "Pleased & relieved to find this wonderful place for mom!"
Denise, a Senior Living Advisor from A Place For Mom, was amazing in helping with my mom’s transition. She found the perfect place for us in Lakewood and made the appointment for us to visit Atria Inn. Tracy Norris, who works at Atria, confirmed our visit and was very responsive and helpful. The staff, led by Megan Cianfrance, was warm, friendly, and professional. The residents seemed happy and healthy, and the atmosphere was welcoming and safe. The food was a big surprise – it was delicious and beautifully presented, thanks to Chef Kirk Brooks. Tiffany, who served us, was attentive and caring. My mom, who loves to cook, was very impressed with the meals. The apartments were well-appointed, and both my brother and I felt confident that this was the right place for our mom. After visiting nine communities, we all agreed that Atria Inn was the perfect choice.
