"Mixed Feelings About Liberty Heights Assisted Living"
We visited Liberty Heights for a tour. The guide was informative. The community we considered was a good size, but Liberty Heights seemed too spread out. This made socializing and feeling connected a bit harder compared to the other place we saw. People seemed separated into different groups, and the layout didn't seem very conducive to social interaction. Another reason we chose a different community was because Liberty Heights felt a bit old-fashioned. It was clean and neat, but you could tell it was built in the 1980s. The décor and overall condition were a bit dated.

"Food Issues at Liberty Heights"
I wouldn't recommend Liberty Heights. Overall, they did okay, but we left due to terrible food. It was inedible, and residents still complain. They offer exercise classes, support groups, book club, and jeopardy for residents to choose from. Unfortunately, the administration team didn't address food issues—they just smiled and ignored our complaints. Initially, the community was good, but it went downhill after w 🍽️ --- Feel free to let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with! 😊

"Liberty Heights, Your Bitter Disappointments And False Promises Exposed"
This place reminds me of a second-hand car salesman. They'll do whatever they need to get you and your family member through the door. Right from the beginning, it's been nothing but headaches with failed promises and calls they won't return. Even though the regular workers are nice, the upper management won't give an inch - that's if I managed to hear from them at all. They said we'd get tons of things just for signing up, but my relative isn't getting what they promised her. They mishandled the COVID crisis so badly. I'm really let down that we picked Liberty Heights. I've started looking at other options for relocation as soon as we're allowed to move, given the health crisis. With so many choices in the Springs, I recommend others look elsewhere too. Three different places set to open by the end of the year seem hopeful, and there are some cheaper ones up North that are worth a look too.

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Dining but Excellent Staff and Safety"
My mom really likes Liberty Heights and wants to stay there. The people who work in independent living are great. They help us with everything we need. We knew before we moved in that there were problems with the food in the dining area. Unfortunately, the food and service there are bad. But the company's higher-ups are fixing the food problems. Before COVID, they let our family join in activities, meals, swimming, and happy hour. They've done a great job keeping everyone safe during COVID.

"Avoid Liberty Heights: Bad Management, Poor Food, and High Rates"
My folks moved from Florida to Liberty Heights, an assisted living center. They were attracted by the independent living option, an attached garage, and a great view. The food wasn't five-star, but it was acceptable. Things took a nosedive when the cook quit. After he left, the meals became so hard to swallow that my dad literally choked on a tough piece of beef and ended up in the ER. Then, there was a change in kitchen management and everything got so bad that the residents began to complain to the corporate office but to no effect. On top of that, the management at the facility also changed and the new manager was not remotely approachable. In fact, he relocated his office just to be far less accessible. Now, I find myself having to buy groceries for my mom because the food quality is not even bearable, let alone nutritious. I strongly discourage people eyeing to spend their golden years in a lively and comforting environment from even considering this place. My parents have already spent an amount that could have comfortably bought a condo or even construct an accessory dwelling unit for them. They're now stuck here and the thought of moving out again simply daunts them. They're essentially shelling out $6,000 each month for a privilege of garage-attached condo and nothing more, not to mention the daily button pressing to let the staff know they haven't keeled over yet. This place lacks the security that a typical "gated community" should provide. During winter, the gates were always found open. I would leave at odd hours in the night and always find the gates wide open. Look for alternatives if you value your retirement and financial savings.

"Disappointing Experience at Liberty Heights Assisted Living Facility"
My folks moved to Liberty Heights a year and a half ago. We picked it because it had garages, 3-bedroom options, and a view of Pikes Peak. The staff is the best part, though they change a lot. In 18 months, management, office workers, and dining room staff switched. Sometimes, non-dining staff serve meals due to staff shortages. Wait times for food can exceed 40 minutes. Keeping bus drivers has also been hard; only one bus runs now. Units look nice at first, but windows don't open, and plumbing is old. The property is supposed to be gated, but gates often stay open. Despite these issues, the staff's kindness and socialization opportunities outweigh the problems. However, the food is consistently awful. My mom, 88, struggles to lift heavy pots and pans due to needing a walker for balance. She's lost weight because she can't eat the dining room food, so we've resorted to simple meals she can make herself. With a $6000 monthly bill, the poor food quality is unacceptable. Dining together is important, but the food is far from fresh or local, as advertised. Vegetables are rubbery, meat is dry, bread is stale, and meals are lukewarm. Liberty Heights used to boast a great dining experience, but since it was sold, it's more like the sinking Titanic than a cruise ship on land.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place and liked the apartments they were a good size with various types, some even with garages. However, it seemed a bit pricey. People I know say it’s nice if you can manage on your own. The place was clean and well-kept, nothing seemed out of order. I haven’t heard much good about their assisted living services, so research before deciding.

"Shoddy Assisted Living Experience"
Liberty Heights in Colorado Springs is a real disappointment. My parents pay almost $6,000 a month, but the place has leaks, plaster falling from the ceiling, and housekeeping issues. The dining experience is terrible, and requests for fixes go unanswered. It's a shame how a once-wonderful place has declined.

"Excellent staff and amenities, not our perfect fit, but recommended."
I recently toured this place with my mother and our experience was good. The staff were punctual for our appointment and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. The activity program was impressive, and there were nice amenities for the residents. In the end, we decided it wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but I would still suggest it to others.
