MorningStar at Dayton Place

"Cozy, Friendly Assisted Living Worth a Look"
My family and my loved one had an okay time at Five Star Residences of Dayton Place. The staff are really nice and easy to talk to. The place feels more like a cozy home instead of a fancy hotel, which we liked. We think it's worth checking out to see if it's right for your loved one.

"Assisted Living Community Offers Friendly Atmosphere"
My dad wasn’t greeted by staff or given information unless he called. There’s an activities calendar, but my loved one hasn’t participated yet. Negotiations for meal plans and move-in dates were accommodating, but after moving in, everyone was scarce. Maintenance people were friendly. Neighbors brought treats and introduced themselves—a nice community. The cottages are spacious and updated, perfect for my parents.

"Mixed Experience with Five Star Dayton Assisted Living Facility"
The visit to Five Star Dayton was great the first time and okay the second. The place was really nice. But the person who helps with admissions was new and didn't know the answers to all our questions. The prices were very fair, though. They are also fixing up the inside in three parts. This is where my mom wanted to live most when she visited this summer. She really liked the dining room and our guide [name removed]. They definitely got new management between the summer and when we looked again. The apartments are big and each one has its own laundry and a big kitchen, which was nice but not really needed because they serve three meals a day. They have little houses that share a pool, but older people who live on their own don't get to use the pool, which is too bad.

"Pleasant Visit, Some Features Missing"
Our family stopped here during our search and had a nice time. We noticed it didn't have some things that another top place did. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, though. We've got some thinking to do!

"Great place with nice cottages and friendly staff!"
We picked Five Star Residences because the cottages are really nice. They clean them twice a week. Breakfast is provided, but it mainly comes from Cisco, so it’s not cooked by a chef. The place is very attractive inside and out, and they do a great job maintaining the grounds. Everyone we’ve met, both staff and residents, is friendly. I’d recommend it to others.

"Assisted Living Facility Feels Like Nursing Home"
This place seems more like a nursing home than anywhere else I've visited.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs More Staff for Better Care"
Overall, I think Morningstar could be better. My room is nice and clean. The food is great, and the staff are nice and helpful. But, there aren't enough staff. I often have to wait over an hour for help getting up in the morning. The staff are doing their best, but they need more help.

"Mixed experiences in assisted living facility; not fully recommended."
My sister lives in this place. It's had good and bad parts. She's fallen a few times, and sometimes it takes too long for the staff to help her. When she first came, her alert thingy didn't work, and sometimes she waits a while for a nurse. The food isn't great, which is important in places like this. But she likes her room and feels comfy in it. They help her go to doctors and have a bus for the market. Overall, I might not tell others to pick this place.

"Safe and Comfortable Living with Room for Improvement"
MorningStar has been a good experience for us. They are doing well helping my loved one with oxygen and medication and making sure he feels comfortable there. has been especially great with him. The place is clean, cozy, feels like home, and I like that there are people from different backgrounds in the community. We've had some issues like money problems, questionable cleaning, and communication that needs to get better, but overall, I feel confident that my loved one is safe, secure, and not hungry.

"Confusing Layout and Tour - Not Suitable for Elderly Residents"
I visited Morning Star while searching for a place for my parents. During the tour, I felt lost. We moved from one part of the building to another without clarity. It was confusing, and I worried about my parents navigating it. I decided to look elsewhere.
