"Room for Improvement in Assisted Living Facility"
This place needs to do better. People here sometimes run out of oxygen, even after telling staff many times. They didn’t change the sheets when they were dirty and said it was fine. The room smells because they leave dirty diapers in the trash. They tell people they have to go to bed right after dinner. Someone was worried they’d get in trouble if they said anything.

"A Mixed Experience at the Assisted Living Facility"
My dad stayed at this assisted living facility for about six weeks before he passed away. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we could only visit during the first week. Let me break it down: The Good: There were a few caregivers who genuinely cared about my dad and were wonderful. His room was pretty nice. The Not-So-Good: The facility is seriously understaffed, but it’s not the caregivers’ fault. At first, the administrative team was helpful and friendly when we were considering memory care. But after we placed my dad there, they became distant and even unfriendly. They didn’t return our calls or emails when we had questions or issues. During the pandemic, my dad needed help with FaceTime. While they emailed us quite often, they wanted residents to initiate FaceTime requests. But my dad, being in memory care, couldn’t do that. So I reached out by phone and email, but the administrative team never responded. The last straw: My dad wore a Cochlear implant worth a whopping $20,000. He couldn’t hear without it. But when the implant got lost on a Tuesday, no one bothered to tell us. We only found out when he was in the ICU at the hospital, unable to communicate because of the missing implant. The Morningstar administrators didn’t apologize for their lack of communication about the lost implant. Except for one amazing caregiver, we wouldn’t have been able to talk to my dad on FaceTime. It’s essential to find a place that truly cares for its residents. If you’re exploring other options, consider looking elsewhere for better care and communication.

"Restrictive rules and nursing-home feel disappoints us"
We didn't find this place that great. It feels more like a nursing home than an assisted living. They won't even let residents own a microwave unless they give permission first.

"Assisted living facility lacks independence, feels like nursing home"
We weren't really wowed by this place. It feels more like a nursing home than an assisted living. They won't let folks have their own microwave unless they get permission.

"Friendly staff, but meals need improvement"
My dad stays here. Everyone's nice. Caregivers are okay, but sometimes they seem short-staffed. They have fun stuff to do like bingo and movies. Food's not great though. Big breakfast, but lunch and dinner are disappointing. Still, I'd suggest it to others."

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience"
Wanted a closer place for mom. They hurried, paid moving. After a month, they raised her rent 50%. Mom moved from independent to assisted living. Not free at all! Food barely enough. Bathrooms dirty for weeks. They said only one person for cleaning. Sometimes no LPN for days.

"Respite stay with wonderful, caring staff."
My loved one stayed at Morningstar at Jordan for a short respite stay. They took good care of him during his time there. I had an emergency and needed someone else to watch him for a little while. We didn’t realize he’d have to adjust to their schedule so fast. I had spoiled him by always responding quickly when he needed the restroom, and he wasn’t used to waiting. He’s impatient, so the routines were hard for him. The staff was great—always smiling and caring. I suggest families help their loved ones understand they might have to wait for help, especially if they can’t walk by themselves. It’s close and easy for family visits. I’d recommend it to others.

"Employees Lack Interest, Community Otherwise Decent"
We visited this place, but didn't have a great time. The employees didn't really seem like they wanted to help us or give us details about the home. They didn't try to help much. But, the place looked pretty clean overall. The rooms were just okay, nothing fancy.

"Lots of Activities to Join In"
My brother and his wife live here, and they're doing well. His wife enjoys the community and the activities. It's been helpful for both of them, and I'd recommend it to family and friends.

"Nice but Pricey Assisted Living"
This place is super nice and feels almost brand new. But watch out for the sneaky fees—they’re way higher than other places. Kinda pricey.

"Mom’s Excellent Care"
I really like this place for my mom. It’s super clean and well-kept. They have a nice menu with lots of choices. I love that she gets to join in on the activities. Plus, it’s close to us, so we can visit often. We would definitely recommend this place to other families for the great care and value.

"This place truly feels like home!"
When we first walked in, my loved one said, "This feels like home." The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is only about three years old, so my loved one’s apartment is brand new. I can't say enough about how caring and helpful the staff are. During my first tour, I noticed the great interactions between the staff and residents.
