"Mixed experience at assisted living facility: understaffed, communication issues, decent meals."
Most of the workers were helpful, but it seemed like they didn't have enough people. The room was clean, but I don't think they changed the bedding often enough. I decided to handle that myself. Communication was okay. They let us know when there were problems, but they didn't always call the right family member. Sometimes they called my sister who lives far away, which meant we didn't get important information right away. The food was good. Overall, it's an okay place for a fair price. One big problem was that they kept losing my mom's clothes. We got used to it and were glad they at least had clean clothes for her, even if they weren't hers. They also lost her wheelchair, and we never found it. They gave us a replacement, but it wasn't as good. It was heavy and hard to fold, which was frustrating.

"Dated Rooms and Disorganized Staff"
Our family went on an in-person tour and it was alright, but the place felt very corporate. When we got there, we were ignored for a few minutes, and the staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. They seemed very disorganized and chaotic, which didn't help. The common areas were okay, but the rooms were really old-fashioned. The fridge in the room looked like it was from the late 80s or early 90s – it was a tacky brown color. The room we saw was their respite room, which was supposed to be "nice," but it felt dingy.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience with Recent Changes"
When I first visited, everyone was friendly and helpful. The apartment I chose for mom is lovely. They've made many recent changes with new staff coming in and old ones leaving. I'm not sure if all these changes are good because the older staff members were really helpful. The price increase surprised me, though. It feels unfair since moving isn't easy. I have another loved one here under Medicaid. Recently, he found a notice on his door saying they won't accept Medicaid anymore because Medicaid dropped them. It's unclear why, but he might have to move by March or apply for a different program. These issues are concerning.

"Nice Assisted Living Facility with Good Activities and Pet Friendly"
This is a nice, well-organized place. It has 125 assisted living apartments that are well appointed, but the studios are quite small. The residents seem older and more feeble than in other places. The facility itself is older but clean. Activities are good. Personal transportation costs extra, but there's a shuttle for shopping. A one-bedroom apartment costs $4,000. My friend would need to use VA services for catheter care. The first level of assistance costs an additional $300 and includes medical and activity reminders. For help with transfers and being taken to activities, it's $400 more. The grounds are nice but not large or fancy. The surrounding city area is a bit grungy. It's pet-friendly. My friend says 35% of the residents are men and quite a few are veterans. One lady I met has been there 21 years and likes it very much. There are no stoves in the assisted living apartments.

"Mixed feelings about dated assisted living in Northglenn area."
The place was nice but seemed older than our top picks. We had a meal there, it was okay, but the menu didn't offer many options. When we walked in, there was a faint smell like a hospital. We prefer the areas around more. Plus, it's more expensive, which is nicer.

"Understaffed Memory Care Facility Needs Improvement"
Right now, things are okay for my parent. But the memory care facility seems to have too few staff, and some of them need more training to take care of our loved ones. Communication among the staff is confusing, and the memory care side could be cleaner. There's not enough daily activity for the people there. When the weather is nice, they should get outside for fresh air and sun. Most of the staff is friendly, but a few need better training in elderly care and professionalism.

"Friendly and Safe Place for Your Loved One"
Mreview: Myhas been in assisted living and now memory care for about two and a half years. I visit often and always find the staff friendly, helpful, and attentive. They have many activities, but some residents can't join because of their condition. The place is almost always clean. My friend seems happy here, and the staff is great. I am always greeted sincerely. It's a good, safe place for your loved one.

"A Mediocre Experience at Northglenn Heights"
Northglenn Heights: A Mixed Bag" 1. I've noticed that most of the staff are really focused and engaged. 2. However, there's one girl who works with the maps - I'm not happy with her. She's aloof, always on her phone acting unprofessional, and she doesn't seem to be taking her job seriously. One time I overheard her using foul language in her office. 3. The food here is not exactly great. I'm sympathetic to the fact that the chefs are probably dealing with budget constraints, yet the meals are generally flavorless, with very little meat content. It's rare to see a full piece of chicken or meat, like a leg or steak, in the meals served here.

"Incredible Director and Staff in Memory Care!"
Our mom started in Northglenn Heights' Assisted Living and later moved to their Memory Care. The staff has always been friendly and caring. Sure, there are times when they're understaffed, communication isn't perfect, and laundry or housekeeping can be late. But the real care they give makes it easy to overlook these issues. Since moving to Memory Care, we've been amazed by the attentiveness and support from the Memory Care Director, [name removed], and his staff. They helped our mom a lot during her transition. Their support has helped her settle in comfortably. We feel at peace knowing she has these wonderful, loving people caring for her. We highly recommend Northglenn Heights and can't say enough good things about! We're very grateful!

"Improving Assisted Living: Responsive Staff, Good Food, Fun Activities"
When my grandma first came here, it was kinda rough. We had to ask for some things to be fixed that seemed dangerous, and it took calling the big bosses to sort it out. Plus, for the first two weeks, nobody cleaned her room, but now they're doing better. They're making lots of improvements. One of the caregivers is super helpful to my grandma. The food is tasty, and they have fun activities like music events. Also, there's a nice courtyard.

Northglenn Heights is a really beautiful place. The staff is super friendly, caring, and always pays attention to her needs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and they are always nice to our family when we visit. It's very clean, and her room is always kept tidy. I haven't had the chance to eat there with my mom yet, but she says the food is good. There are lots of activities for the residents, and the staff encourages everyone to join in. My mom is still getting used to the place, so she hasn't participated yet. But her sister lives there too, so she has someone she knows, and she was allowed to bring her dog for company. They have nice walkways and benches to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

"Dad Settles into New Home with Art and Friendly Staff"
My dad is happy and the staff did a great job helping us move him in. He really likes the artwork on the walls; there are so many around the community. The big windows have chairs next to them, and my dad enjoys sitting by them and looking outside. During meal times, he sits with different residents and gets to know them. He loves going downstairs to sit on the benches outside in the front area and chat with other residents. The staff has been good so far. The lady who cleans is very nice whenever we get a chance to talk to her. They do need to do some upgrading, which I hear they will be doing with the carpeting and other things.

"No Longer Worth Your Wait: Northglenn Heights Assisted Living's Decline"
Unfortunately, things have gotten worse since then. The medication system is disorganized and unreliable; they typically are never punctual with distribution. Requesting extra medication takes a couple of tries and other times, it doesn't arrive at all. Communication is difficult because some staff members do not speak or understand English well. The food quality is inconsistent, mostly subpar. It's just average if that. There's been a high staff turnover, with many long-term employees leaving the facility. Northglenn Heights once had an excellent reputation; a long waiting list to get in and no need for special promotions. That's not the case anymore. They're now offering deals to attract new residents. It's upsetting to experience this decline in quality and service over the last year.

"Assisted Living Facility Not Worth the High Price"
This place seems nice when they're trying to get your business. They promise they can drive your family member to their doctor appointments on Tuesday and Thursday. But the truth is, their driver leaves at 1pm and they always seem too busy to help. I gave them my grandmother's medicine, but they didn't give it to her and didn't even tell me. They've been messing up her medicine for two weeks! The food is super boring and they wake my grandmother up at 5am, but breakfast isn't until 8am. We asked for an emergency button and didn't get one for two weeks. We pay over $4600 a month. What are we paying for? Boring food, being woken up too early, messed up medicine, and no rides to doctor appointments. My advice? Find somewhere better for your family.

""Displeasure Over Mom's Poor Memory Care Treatment""
My mom's living conditions at this memory care facility are unacceptable. I constantly find out that her clothes and stuff are stolen. She mostly must endure wearing unclean diapers and clothes that aren't hers. My attempts to enhance her living space are futile; whatever I bring goes missing mysteriously. Poignantly, she's exposed to the intrusion of other residents, including men, who wander in and out of her room. The place is clearly not making her happy, so I'm seeking a better place with quality services for her. The staff claim that all facilities for memory care have the same issues, but I've discovered that's not the case. Not once have I visited Mom without having to bathe her, change her bedding, or find her own clothes!

"Terrible Communication and Care at Northglenn Yields a Horrifying Death"
My mom's stay at Northglenn lasted just a month until she passed away. Her health declined fast while she was there. A couple of caretakers were really kind, but her final days were dreadful. The communication between Northglenn and St. Anthony Hospice was close to null. I often found my mom lying in her own urine during those last weeks. I had asked for mushy food trays her last week, and yet, on her death day, I found hard food in her room. They promised she'd get her morphine and lorazepam the last night, or that they'd call me if it didn't arrive, but none of this happened. On her last day, the communication was so poor that two aides tried to get my brother to take her outside in a wheelchair. There were other inexcusable actions that happened. When I requested for my mom's care records for the last four days of her life, I was disregarded. My mom's death was horrifying, part of which I attribute to Northglenn's incompetence.

"Staff Too Focused on Sales, Lacks Proper Dementia Care"
The staff are really good at selling their plans to keep you there, but they fail when it comes to providing care. They say they can't find the time to help my mom walk around. Instead, they tell me to hire someone else to do it! Too often, it seems like my mom is wearing dirty clothes and doesn't smell clean. Their excuse is that she doesn't want to shower or accept their help. Clearly, they lack the ability to properly work with dementia patients and convince them to accept their help. The nursing staff, who only handle administrative tasks, aren't ready to meet my mom's needs and they always say they don't have enough staff to care for her properly. I'm left wondering what we're paying for.
