"Terrible Assisted Living Facility; Ignorance, Negligence, and High Fees"
The staff here ignores doctor's rules and doesn't regularly pay attention to those living here. They don't offer the residents clean clothing or help them get ready for bed. They leave them in the same clothes for days. Also, they don’t provide residents with portable oxygen tanks when going to meals. Whenever we complain, the management just says, "Maybe you should find a different place for them to stay." The assistant director only gives empty promises. We've had many meetings with management, but the situation only seems to get worse. I hope someone from the corporate headquarters spends time here and checks on all their employees. The director is not good at their job! I strongly recommend avoiding this place. Trust me, you'll regret having your loved one stay here. They don't care about the individuals here; they're only interested in their salaries. Plus, they're not giving the care they promised, while they still increase the fees. I sincerely believe that the state authorities should inspect this place!

"Transition Phase, Hoping for Improvement Soon"
The place where my grandma lives, Bethesda Gardens Thornton, is changing a bunch right now. I'm crossing my fingers it won't last long and that things will pick up once they're done with the construction.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Experience"
This place is pretty nice, clean, and runs well overall. Sometimes the staff doesn't communicate well, and my mom got confused when they came into her unit for things she didn't need. Still, I'd recommend it overall.

"Reasonably Priced New Facility with Clean Rooms and Good Food"
Park Regency is a newer place and costs are fair. Our family member thinks the food is okay, and he's mostly pleased with it. The rooms are tidy and quite nice. We'd suggest this place to friends or family.

"Friendly Care with Small Food Portions"
I really liked it there. They treated my wife well and took good care of her. The only downside was the food—it could have been tastier, and the portions were small. I picked this place because it’s close to where I live and on my way to work. The management staff and nurses were good, but there were frequent changes with CNAs. Overall, I’d recommend this community to other families.

"Park Regency Thornton: A Caring Community"
My mother-in-law has lived at Park Regency Thornton for three years. In the first year, she and her husband shared a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment. It was comfortable and beautiful. Later, my father-in-law needed Memory Care and moved to a smaller apartment on the same floor. The staff was amazing, providing loving care and even Hospice until he passed away within four months. Now that my mother-in-law is on her own, she enjoys events and outings at PR. She has made good friends and is very happy with her living arrangements. During the challenging time of Assisted Living isolation, the management and staff have kept everyone safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They’ve done an incredible job, and I applaud them!” .

"Change is needed before placing your loved ones here! "
This place was a a better place before the new ED got there. I can’t say it was the best but it sure was better than this new lady. I’ve never met a person that genuinely doesn’t care about the residents needs. Not to mention staff. They have had the worst turn over I have ever witnessed. And the worst part is the residents have to deal with that and there paying for good service. Right?! And if that’s not enough I’ve also have witnessed one person from management pass out medication! They were short so they had this person pass out medication to residents and keep in mind they do NOT have a license to pass any kind of medication! They’ve had quite a few med errors that has sent residents to the hospital. No residents are safe in the hands of these people. The caregivers have been working overtime, and they take naps everywhere. I found one sleeping on a bench, and I had to remind her that it was time for my mother's medication. If staff isn’t sleeping they can be found on there phones in the break room. Also they have had an AC problem on the third floor since about June and it has yet to be fixed! They pretty much went all summer without AC in the hallways. And there solution for this in the meantime was to place fans throughout the hallways. Sure, that’s safe for residents with their walkers. And in one room the temperature went up to 92 degrees and no maintenance to take care of it. They have had about 14 rooms available in the last couple months that is unbelievable since before new management they have about 2-4 rooms. When there’s that many rooms empty on a place that used to have a wait list you gotta wonder why that’s happening. These residents deserve more than what there getting. My mom deserved more! I hated visiting and my mom telling me how much more she hates it there. They needed change but the change they got wasn’t the change they needed.

"Significant Downfall in Service and Staff"
My mom stayed there for ages, relieved we've moved on. The place isn't what it used to be and the boss crew and workers have gone downhill.

"Poor Management and Conditions Lead to Steady Decline"
The state of this assisted living facility has consistently deteriorated under the guidance of the new director. I often stop by to visit my mother and have tried to speak to the new director twice, but she's either too busy or I need to schedule an appointment. Even after four months, she hasn't bothered to meet me, my family, or my mom. The air-conditioning system of the building has been out of order all summer, making the third floor unbearably hot. Fans are scattered all over, posing a risk of tripping. The staff turnover has increased significantly, and current employees aren't shy about voicing their concerns about worsening conditions. The management needs to seek substantial help immediately, or they'll have several vacant rooms soon.

"Very accessible staff team"
When looking for a place for my parents, we wanted something within 10 miles of home. We found this community just a mile away, which made it super convenient. The staff is always easy to find. There's always someone in the lobby, nurses in the wellness center, and even the employee break room is right by the main lobby. If you can’t reach someone, you can just knock on the door for help. The facility is busy with about 100 residents, so it's great that staff is so accessible. They keep the place clean and organized, and the laundry service is amazing. My mom, who's really picky, was impressed with how they do laundry—it was like dry cleaning! There are lots of activities too, like bingo, football games, movie nights, and crafts. My mom plays bridge, and the staff even helped her make fliers to see if others wanted to join. Even though it hasn't worked yet, I love how helpful the staff has been. They're so friendly, as are the other residents. I definitely recommend this place to other families.

I toured this place with my mom recently, and overall, it was okay. The staff were nice and answered all our questions patiently. The dining room and common areas were spacious. They had good amenities, but it didn't feel like the perfect fit for my mom in the end.

Since my mother joined this community, she’s made great progress, especially with her social skills. She’s joined in on many of the fun activities offered every week and really enjoys spending time with the other residents. The staff is amazing—they treat us like family. They always remember my name and keep me updated about any news or concerns regarding my mom. Overall, I’m very happy with how things are going for her.

"Wonderful Assisted Living with Caring Staff and Great Value!"
This place is amazing! The staff is friendly and the amenities are top-notch. It’s beautifully decorated, bright, and cheerful. They really seem to care about every resident, knowing them all by name. I would highly recommend Park Regency to anyone facing this tough choice. The pricing is great, with no extra fees like at some other places I looked into. Everything is included, making life easier for both residents and their families.

"Beware: Living Facility's Beauty Masks Deeper Problems."
I'll tell you this much: don't trust every written word. It's a beautiful place on the outside, but once you chat with some staff workers - not the bosses, just the everyday people - you'll see a different side. They stopped giving overtime pay, despite being new. With an operation time of about a year and a half, they've already had 3 to 4 administrators. The food service area is a constant turnover and those in charge won't hesitate to bend the truth to suit their needs - including from you, the resident. Residents come and go so swiftly it's hard to form friendships, and there are countless medication mistakes. Sure, it's gorgeous there, and that's the bait, but beware of the deeper reality. Keep in mind, despite being a newer place, the elevators rarely function. It's prone to leaks and flooding, plus other problems. The largest issue? They underestimated the building cost, so imagine getting stuck in a malfunctioning elevator during a fire alarm with locked stairways. Don't believe it? It happened to me...twice! Now, I'm happily settled elsewhere with no trouble or gripes. So I'm sure it wasn't just me...
