"Caring Staff and Great Hospice!"
The staff were really nice when my mom was near the end of her life. They hugged us a lot and seemed to care about both my mom and us. But there just weren’t enough of them (they were understaffed). The hospice we chose was fantastic and worked well with the staff.

"Highly recommended for cleanliness, friendliness, and quality care."
My family member stayed at Morning Star Senior Living of Parker, and it was excellent. The place was really clean and everyone was so nice. The staff took good care of my loved one. Overall, it was a top-notch experience. I'd tell my family and friends to check out Morning Star Senior Living of Parker.

"Expensive with impersonal atmosphere, inflexible move-in fee"
Our family visited MorningStar Senior Living of Parker. It cost too much and they wouldn't lower the move-in fee. It didn't feel cozy either.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My main worries are about how dirty the common areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms are (they're really gross) and the feeling that they might not have enough staff. Most of the workers are friendly and helpful, though. The residents' hygiene and cleanliness can be inconsistent. Families should watch this closely and talk to the administration if a resident isn't being kept clean. It's more evidence that they're probably understaffed.

"Pleasant Community with Room for Improvement"
It was a pleasant community, but it cost more. The dining room stayed open longer, and the rooms were nice, though the layout was just okay.

"Assisted Living Facility Earns High Praise for Quality Care"
This place is really good. My mom had a tough time adjusting at first because we moved her here from another state to be closer to us. It wasn't their fault, just hard for her to get used to. But now things are going well. They clean her room once a week, and they do a good job. The staff is nice. I visit once or twice a week, and they're always attentive and friendly. They're easy to reach and talk to. They keep us informed about how she's doing. The food is good too. It's tasty and they offer a nice variety. Overall, everything has been really good. I would tell my friends and family to consider this place.

"Frustrating Runaround from MorningStar Management"
I'm super annoyed with all the people in charge here. From the medical people to the top boss, it's all the same. I called and visited this place a ton every week to fix problems and they always gave me the brush off. I would never tell anyone to go to MorningStar. The people in charge dodge the problem whenever something comes up.

"Unfriendly Staff Makes Assisted Living Facility Non-Recommendable"
The management was competent in completing the necessary documents. However, the various personnel, ranging from the cleaning staff to the helpers to the service employees, gave off a dim and unwelcoming vibe. I don't advise opting for this living facility.

"Poor Conditions and Lack of Care at MorningStar of Parker"
MorningStar of Parker's Memory Care service is a huge letdown. During the pandemic, I was not allowed into my mom's room. When I finally could enter, I found trash, dirty laundry, and food ground into the carpet. The room had gnats and plants were dying. An endless loop played on her TV, there was stagnant water in her bathroom, and there were three kinds of medicine. I've tried many times to talk to the staff, but they don't return my calls. I even went to a meeting that the care manager didn't attend. One worker called me when my mom fell because she couldn't handle her delusions. They hung up signs in her room that she couldn't read because she's visually impaired. The staff doesn't understand how dementia works and cares more about rent increases than their vulnerable residents. I've figured out that "Memory Care" isn't regulated very well. Don't trust a loved one's care to MorningStar of Parker's Memory Care.

"Virtual Tour During Pandemic: Missed Resident Room View"
We took a virtual tour during the pandemic using Zoom. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see an actual resident room. It would have been nice if they had shown us one, but I understand it was a difficult time.

"Great Place for Mom"
My mom is happy here. It's a convenient location with lots of businesses around the community. The community is smaller, which I think is good. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

"Amazing Place with Friendly Staff and Great Opportunities"
I love this place. It’s well designed with nice upgrades. The location is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This center offers wonderful opportunities for the residents. One resident even made a pillow that was displayed in the lobby. I want to live here.

"Beautiful place that feels like home!"
I currently live here, and I love it! When you first walk in, the ceiling is three stories high, making it feel like the entrance to a mountain lodge. The facility is beautiful and fairly new; it feels much more like home than an institution. The staff is great with everyone and has a good sense of humor. There are plenty of activities for residents every day, and they have a chapel where a volunteer holds services on Sundays. They also have a bus that takes residents to different churches if you want to go, but it’s not required. The art and furniture are top-notch. You can join in on exercise classes or creative activities as much as you want. The restaurant-style food is good, with lots of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you don’t like the main entrees of the day, there are always about six other options to choose from. I have a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and two walk-in closets, and it’s really spacious. I was able to bring all my favorite personal items, which means a lot to me. They also allow pets like small dogs and cats. Overall, I really like it here and would definitely recommend it!

"Caring Staff and Great Activities"
I am very happy with this place, and my loved one loves it here too. It’s a smaller location with fewer people, and there’s a nice mix of independent living and assisted living. The assisted living part doesn’t need much attention, and the place doesn’t feel like a “nursing home.” It feels more like a community for older adults. They have lots of activities for the residents, and my loved one got involved right away in the first few weeks. She used to get tired from all the activities she did. Now, she does 1-2 activities a day and has her favorites. She loves the happy hour, chair yoga, and the little bus rides. My loved one says the food is amazing. The staff is absolutely wonderful. He spent a lot of time with us and asked questions I never thought of. He is very caring. Before, my loved one lived about 200 miles away from us and our other family members. So, we brought other family members to visit, and the staff spent the same amount of time with them. Every time I’m there, he takes the time to say hello to me. He really made us feel welcome. We care a lot about him and what we saw there. I recommend this place to others.

"Assisted Living Tour Okay, But Not What We Wanted"
The tour was okay when I visited. But it wasn't what we were looking for. We hoped for a newer place with larger apartments.

"Highly recommend this caring facility!"
I was really impressed with this place! I’ve been to many networking events at Morningstar, and I’m always amazed by the staff and the facility. It’s clean, comfy, and welcoming. The food is tasty and looks great. I’ve gotten to know some of the staff, and they truly care about helping families find a good home for their loved ones. I highly recommend this place!

"A True Blessing for Our Family"
I moved my mom to Memory Care in December, and in just three months, she’s so much happier and more peaceful. She gets great care and feels loved. The daily activities keep her busy and help her mind stay sharp. She tells me she likes living there and is happy, which I didn’t expect to happen so quickly. Our family feels really good about this decision.

"Wonderful community with caring staff and happy residents!"
We had a fantastic tour with Alex Winningham, the Community Relations Associate. Alex and the front staff made us feel welcomed and valued in this community. During our visit, we met several residents who showed us how much the right place can change lives. They were happy, involved, and proud of themselves. The rooms and security were just what we wanted, and the overall atmosphere was beautiful. Our family definitely recommends this place to anyone looking for independent, assisted, or memory care living.

"Wonderful, caring facility!!"
My mom has been at Parker Assisted Living for three months now. I don’t understand the negative reviews because we’ve only had positive experiences. From day one, my mom felt welcome. She broke her hip four months ago and now uses a walker, so she couldn’t live at home anymore. The staff is very attentive, even making her protein shakes to help her gain weight. The lady who does her laundry always has kind words for her. The staff knows each resident’s name, which is so important to me! I’ve had two relatives in other assisted living facilities, and PALM is the best by far. My mom just moved to the new building three days ago, and it’s an awesome, state-of-the-art facility! Some staff moved to the new building too, so it’s nice to see familiar faces. Even the new staff knew my mom’s name from day one. I was unpacking in her room when someone came to take her blood pressure, and they were very caring even though they didn’t know I was there.

"High Caution: Declining Care Despite Attractive Environment"
Since 2015, the quality of management and care at this living facility has taken a sharp downturn. It used to be a great place that we'd recommend to anybody, but now, we'd suggest you proceed with caution. The constant changes in staff members and an apparent focus on making money negatively impacted our parents' health and happiness. Surprisingly, many new local facilities deliver much better care and value. Though this facility looks nice, the care they provide is far from satisfactory.

"Subpar Treatment and Frequent Issues at Parker Assisted Living"
Parker was once fantastic initially. Over the recent year, its quality has shown a decline. Sure, the caregivers are nice and well-meaning, but they are not enough and get paid too little, so they don't last. More residents are now here for day care, which burdens the day staff and affects care for full-time residents. The costs are escalating too frequently, making it troublesome to manage, especially when one's finances aren't increasing. My parent fell victim to several medication errors by new staff with no repercussions. Often, my parent was given food they couldn't consume. The last straw was when I visited one day to find my parent lying unattended, soiled with their own feces. Enough was enough.

"Great care and support for seniors at Parker Assisted Living"
Parker Assisted Living by Morningstar was perfect for my mom. She had been living with me until a few falls meant she needed 6 weeks of rehab. She couldn’t get well enough for me to care for her at home anymore, so Parker Assisted Living was the ideal choice for her and our family. The staff is great and really cares about our seniors. A Place for Mom was a huge help in finding the right care. Donna, the Senior Advisor, made it easier for me during the tough process of choosing the best place for my mom’s care.

"Great experience with day care and respite care"
My 91-year-old father, who has memory issues, goes to Parker Assisted Living for day care three times a week. He has also stayed there for week-long respite care three times this past year. The facility is clean, organized, and beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. There are many planned activities and amenities. Our experience has been very positive. Their day care fees did go up 35% which was surprising, but I’m not sure how they compare to other places. The location is very convenient for us, and Papa enjoys going. He's become familiar with the staff, residents, and other day care participants. We plan to continue day care and eventually have him live there.

"Very Good Community"
Parker Assisted Living is pretty excellent overall. They offer good food, maintain a clean community, and have friendly, attentive staff. While they could improve their activity variety and caregiver-to-resident ratio, my opinion is very favorable. I'd recommend it to anyone.
