"Friendly Staff and Spacious Rooms at Pine Trails"

We picked Pine Trails at Castle Rock because it's a good deal and the staff is friendly. When we visited, it felt nice overall. The rooms are big, and even though you share bathrooms, you get your own private room. Mom liked the food. Our only letdown was the lack of activities. Still, I'd recommend this place to others.

"Pine Trails Memory Care: A Pleasant Home for Mom"

My mom moved into Pine Trails memory care six weeks ago. We thought it would be hard, but she adjusted quickly and is doing well. She likes being active and enjoys the activities. The caregivers are gentle, kind, and take good care of her. I don’t worry about her clothes or showers anymore. When I visit, it’s to enjoy time with her, not to care for her. The food can be disappointing because it’s sometimes cool from being brought upstairs. The activities could be better, but they’re improving with a new hire. No place is perfect, but Pine Trails is perfect for my mom.

"Great and welcoming community!"

I toured this community for my wife, and all the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The facility looks brand new and super clean. Every employee I passed stopped to greet me. There were activities happening, and the food looked amazing! I will be placing my wife here as soon as I'm ready. Thank you, Pine Trails staff, for making this an easy and comforting decision.

"“Friendly Staff and Cozy Rooms!”"

Awesome spot! This place is for folks who need some help. The rooms are cozy, just right for one person. The staff is super friendly, patient, and really gets what you need.

"Pine Trails is a great place!"

Pine Trails is a wonderful community because it’s small and quiet. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are large. The whole place is clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; they truly care about the residents. They know everyone’s name and work hard to make both residents and families feel comfortable. The food is good and healthy, and the cooks are happy to meet the residents’ needs. I would definitely recommend Pine Trails. As long as my wife is happy, we’re happy, so we’ll stay here.

"Efficient Care and Good Facility at Assisted Living Center"

I was really impressed with how the staff takes care of each person living there. The place is nice.

"Affordable, inclusive, and pleasant assisted living with ample activities."

This place is priced just right for what you get, and it covers everything. The people who work here are really nice and really good at what they do. They have stuff to do every day, and the place is always clean. It's not too big, only 48 beds, and it's about half full. The way it's set up is great for people with memory problems, like a square around a courtyard in the middle. I think this place is great and would tell others to check it out.

"Not Quite the Right Fit, but Nice Staff and Clean"

I visited this place and the people I talked to were friendly and knew a lot. But, I didn't feel like it was the right spot for me. The people living there were much older and not as active. They have rooms for one person, but that's not what we were interested in. The whole place seemed tidy and neat.

"Wonderful care and supportive staff make Metzler a great choice"

My parents have been at Metzler for almost two years now, after moving from a nursing home near Parker Co. I am so happy we made the change. The staff at Metzler has been amazing with them. The most important thing to me is having caregivers who truly care, and everyone here is kind, understanding, and sympathetic. Whenever I called to check on my parents or ask a CNA to visit them, I always received quick and helpful responses. This is so different from the attitude we experienced at the old nursing home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my mom and dad.

"We appreciate the caring and loving staff"

Both my parents have been at Metzler for nearly two years now, having moved from a Nursing Home facility near Parker Co. I'm thrilled with the change to Metzler. The staff here is exceptional—kind, sympathetic, and always willing to help. Unlike our previous experience, they truly care about my mom and dad. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful care!

"Potential for More Hands-On Care"

I believe the staff could offer more help with residents, including my loved one. Metzler Memory Care is decent.

"Great Improvements Under New Management"

This home has certainly improved since the new management took over. The care quality has risen and the meals have improved. The employees are gentle and patient. It looks like they're really making progress.

"Avoid entrusting family to Metzler Elderly Care"

Don't place your family here!

"Great Care and Improved Experience!"

The Senior Lifestyle facility in Metzler, now under new ownership, has significantly improved communication, food, and care. My parents received excellent care, and the staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Although the food is heavily seasoned for residents, it’s plentiful and well-prepared. My only concern is staff turnover, but overall, it’s a positive experience.

"Very Pleased"

Most, if not all, of these reviews were written before the new owners took over. Senior Lifestyle is a family-owned company from Illinois. When they took over Metzler, there was a big improvement in communication, food, care, and more. I’m really happy with how well my parents were taken care of at this place. The staff is super nice and helpful with the residents. Dealing with Alzheimer’s patients can be tough, but the care my mom received made things easier for me. She passed away, but Dad is still here and getting good care. The food is actually really good compared to other places, but it’s made differently for residents like Mom. Most adults probably wouldn’t like it because it’s heavily seasoned and fortified, but the goal is to provide plenty of calories. My main concern is turnover—it’s not as bad as the last place my parents were at, but it still happens.

"Lovely staff, but tiny rooms and unclean carpets"

The staff was kind, but the rooms were dreadfully small and the carpets seemed unclean.

"Friendly Staff, Small Rooms, and Unclean Carpets"

The folks were friendly, but the rooms were tiny like closets and the carpets didn't look clean.

"Great attitude, bathroom cleaning needs improvement."

Their positive attitude shines, but bathrooms need more frequent cleaning.

"Staffing Issues and Countless Accidents"

Too many employees leaving, lots of accidents with fractured bones. Could be a good home, but it doesn't meet expectations.

"They did such a good job, we stayed long term."

This was meant to be a temporary stay, but they did such a good job that we decided to keep her here. The patient-to-caregiver ratio is great. The price is fair, and they really take care of her well. Everyone is friendly, and they have a wonderful nutritionist. The food is excellent, and they even help her eat. It’s a memory care facility with two floors, and they care for both men and women.

"Avoid this Place: Terrible Food, Poor Supervision and Inadequate Leadership"

This place is terrible! Don't send anyone you love here! The food is bad, supervision is poor, possibly due to not enough staff, and staff leave really fast. The new director everyone talks about is clueless about dementia or Alzheimer's, and I very much question her nursing skills and her ability to even handle this kind of job. I could say so much more about this place but I'll leave it at: I'm so glad my mom doesn't live there anymore!

"Very Happy with Care and Support!"

We have had our father in this facility for over a month, and we are really happy with it. The director is very responsive and takes action quickly. The care is excellent!
