Ralston Creek Neighborhood Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Needs Better Welcome for Memory Care Residents"
The place where my mom is staying for Memory Care could do better with how they welcome new people. They should really sit down with families when they first get there and explain everything, like when laundry gets done, what time people go to bed, and how they handle medicine. We never got that talk, and I've had to ask a lot of questions about when my mom was last cleaned up or had her clothes washed. We shouldn't have to wonder about these things; we should've been told the plan from the start. This should have all been sorted out when we signed the lease, but it wasn't. We chose this community because we liked it when we visited, the building is new with big rooms and hallways, they let you pay as you go instead of needing a lot of money upfront, and someone in our family said it was good.

"Disappointing Tour Experience at Ralston Assisted Living Facility"
Ralston seemed like it wasn't finished being built, and the people there weren't acting very professional or organized when we went to check it out. We chose to go with a different place instead.

"Nice place, but limited memory care activities."
We chose Ralston Creek during COVID because we liked it and got good reviews from someone with a parent there. The staff could interact more with residents. The facility is very nice, but the activities aren't great for those with memory care issues. I would recommend it depending on the person's disease stage.

"Assisted Living Option Shows Promise for Elderly Care"
This place came in a close second. It offered a lot for my parents. Everyone was friendly. I'll schedule another tour with my niece next week.

"Assisted Living: Good Efforts, Some Downsides"
They're doing a pretty good job, especially during COVID. All the residents got tested. We picked this place for my mom, and they're trying their best for her. The food is okay, better in assisted living than memory care. Weekday activities are great, but weekends are dull. I'd recommend it to other families. Only downside: no beautician for hair right now.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom stayed here until the end. They served good food, but that was the best part! She had a room to herself, with two beds and a bathroom with a shower. It was nice she didn't have a roommate. However, they only helped her out of bed, to the dining room to eat, then to a chair where she stayed all day! She needed a walker but couldn't get far without falling, so they would move it out of reach. She fell out of bed many times, and we had to pay the fire department to come get her off the floor. They'd tell her it's shower time, she'd say no, and that was it, no shower! She'd go a week without one unless one of us MADE them give her one while we were visiting! They did have activities like kicking a ball around, playing cards, drawing, and watching old movies on TV. It felt overpriced for a daycare center! She went downhill fast!

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living with Organized Memory Care"
The place was really clean and had a nice vibe. Staff talked to residents, and the memory care area was well organized with decent rooms. Worth considering! .

"Mixed experience, room for improvement."
I moved to Ralston Creek a month ago. Not very happy. Rooms big, mostly clean. Housekeeping needs improvement. Caregivers not well-trained. Chef uses too much salt, small portions. Activities okay. Overall, not great.

"Great Care and Activities, Minor Issues with Housekeeping and Weekend Resources"
Everything has been going really well for my dad since he moved here. The activities director is amazing and keeps him busy with current events and a range of activities. The food is fantastic, with different options like street tacos, Mongolian BBQ, pasta bar, and even a Memorial Day barbecue. They also show movies twice a week and remind everyone about activities each day. My dad, who wasn’t very social at home, is now always out of his room. He enjoys watching TV in the common area and chatting with other residents. My only concern is that they don’t have enough resources on weekends, and housekeeping needs a bit of improvement—they missed doing his laundry for a week, but they’re working on it.
