"Mixed Experience at Affordable Assisted Living Facility"

This place is pretty good for what you pay. I think they could use more staff because there's usually only one person taking care of eight residents. It's a bummer that not all rooms have cable TV. It could help keep people's minds active, especially if they can't go out or don't want to join group activities. We had a problem with a mouse in my stepmom's room once, but it was partly her fault for leaving candy out. The food is mostly made fresh for each meal, but sometimes it seems like they use more pre-made stuff than other places. Also, they just got new owners a few months ago, and now they don't have a shuttle bus for residents to go shopping or run errands outside the facility.

"Troubled Transition to Assured Living, Improvements Needed"

My grandma faced a hard time moving into Assured Living after it bought Serenity House. This was mainly because of issues in staffing due to the merger. Her room wasn't properly set up. There were leftover items in her closet from previous occupants or storage. Luckily, they hired a couple who lives on-site and the standards have risen considerably since their hire. A few good staff members from Serenity are still there which is great. However, the care quality when we got there was poor. Meal quality could improve with more fresh food instead of canned and packaged goods. The new staff does provide physical activities and singing which is excellent. But, the previous owner at Serenity had promised more activities. Considering the industry rates, I think their pricing is okay.

"Solid choice near church, with good programs and atmosphere."

We chose this place because it's close to our church and has a good day program. So far, our experience has been pretty good. The tour was nice, and we appreciate the cozy atmosphere that feels like home. My loved one's roommate is awesome!

"Very clean, nice place with friendly staff!"

We toured this place when looking for care for a loved one. I thought everything looked great! It was very clean, nice-looking, and the staff were friendly and professional. The only reason we didn’t choose this community is we found another just as good, but closer to our family.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

Home costs around $4,200 per month. I want my dad to be in a place with more mentally active adults. I'm not sure if he'd be okay living in a group home if he sees people who are worse off than he is.

"Costly Facility; Wishes for More Mentally Active Companions"

This place costs about $4200/month. I wish my dad could be somewhere with folks who are a bit more mentally sharp. I'm not sure he'd be okay with living in a group home if he sees people there who are worse off than him.
