Sunrise at Pinehurst

"“Mixed Results in Assisted Living”"
Stuff eventually gets done, but some problems take a long time to fix. For instance, laundry and bathing happen regularly. But I don’t think the team consistently handles activities.

"Lack of Care"
When my loved one entered the assisted living facility, they were left to figure things out on their own. The move-in coordinator greeted us initially, but then disappeared. There's no individual support or communication with the family. Activities were nonexistent, and it took forever to get on the activities app. My father's wellbeing was only checked due to his medical regimen. The care plan wasn't shared with us, and staff seemed overworked. Call buttons went unanswered for hours. Overall, the facility lacks cultural inclusivity.

"Dreadful Care and Dishonest Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
They get a flat one-star. The care is just awful. I've already switched my dad to a different facility. The workers are insincere and never keep their promises.

"Great Experience at Sunrise of Pinehurst"
My loved one lives at Sunrise of Pinehurst, and so far, everything has been great for her. The staff is really friendly, the place is super clean, and the food is great. The care services, activities, and value for the money are also really good. I would definitely recommend Sunrise of Pinehurst to others! We are very happy with our decision to choose Sunrise of Pinehurst for our loved one.

"Caring Staff and Improving Facilities in Assisted Living Community"
We really like the people there. The staff are very caring and the administrative team has been wonderful. Most of the caregivers have been great, and we feel our loved one is well taken care of. They are remodeling the whole community, which has caused some confusion for our loved one, but it's all for the community's benefit. The meals in assisted living were great, but in memory care, they had fewer choices, which we understand.

"Poor Service and Trouble with Refunds at Assisted Living Facility"
When my dad stayed here, they left him alone for hours. Sometimes, it even took over 20 minutes just to have someone come open the door to his room. After we finally managed to move him out, we've had to threaten to sue just to get a refund on what he'd already paid. Even now, the refund got sent to the wrong place and I'm still waiting. Save yourself some trouble and find a different place for your family member.

"Top-Notch Care and Service at Sunrise at Pinehurst"
With two aging parents in separate places, I can confidently say Sunrise at Pinehurst is excellent. Several people recommended it to me, and now I see why. The key to their success is strong leadership and a commitment to always improving. The concierges are professional and ready to help with any questions or needs. The care team, including managers and nurses, is friendly and quick to address residents' needs. Even with the pandemic, the activities staff has been creative in keeping residents engaged. Maintenance is fast and goes above and beyond. The dining room staff makes sure everyone is well-fed and celebrates special occasions. They take my questions and suggestions seriously. The care from top to bottom is clear these employees truly care about the residents’ emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Before the pandemic, we visited almost daily and were consistently impressed by how the staff treats everyone.

"Feels like a nursing home."
Feels institutional, good activities, knowledgeable staff, not home-like.

"Tour went smoothly; recommend for others!"
I toured this place with my mom recently. Everything went well. The staff were on time and answered all our questions. I liked how easy it was to get around the building with its open layout. It wasn't the right spot for us, but I'd suggest it to others.

"Needs Better Food and Medical Organization!"
My mom and dad recently moved into this place. So far, it's alright but it could be better. The food they're getting is just okay. The people working there are trying to get them to do more of the weekly activities. But, I think they definitely need to do a better job of organizing things, especially in the medical and nursing areas.

"Beautiful facility, but under-staffed and over-priced"
The place looks great! However, they don't seem to have enough people working to do everything they say they will. I wouldn't pick this place until they get more staff for better services. Really overpriced for what you get.

"Luxury Assisted Living Community, Too Pricey for Budget"
I really liked this place when I visited. They had fancy stuff for the people living there, and the whole area looked beautiful. The people who run it were super helpful in explaining all the different options they offer and making personal plans with each resident. But, it turned out to be too expensive for me.

"Sunrise at Pinehurst is the perfect choice!"
Sunrise at Pinehurst was the perfect choice for my mom. She has settled in well and enjoys the many activities they offer. The place is clean and well-kept, both inside and out. The registration process was smooth, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community because I feel comfortable with how they keep me updated on my mom’s care.

"Sunrise Assisted Living: Clean, Good Staff, Room Size Concerns"
We really like Sunrise. My family enjoys the food, no complaints there. It's clean, staff is nice, and they communicate well. The only thing keeping us from giving five stars is the room size. Most rooms around here seem small, we'd prefer a bit more space.

"Decent care, but ring disappeared at close-by facility"
I'm pretty mad because my wedding ring disappeared and nobody seems to know what happened. My mom was only at this place for a couple of days, so I can't say much about the things they do to keep people busy. I will say this though; they took good care of my mom. The place was close to home, it's only half a mile away; this played a big role in why we chose it.

The staff is very friendly and truly cares about the residents. The food is outstanding. Sometimes, the cleaning staff needs more supervision in personal spaces.

"Amazing Place for My Parents"
Both my parents live here, and it's amazing. They take care of everything. It's been a five-star experience all around. The reminiscence care at Pinehurst is awesome. My dad loves being outside, and they have a big courtyard he can use anytime. There's an alarm so they know he's out there, but they let him walk around so he feels free. They even let him bring his therapy dog, which was super important to us. The director is really good and has been there a long time. We've also noticed more caretakers speak English as their first language, which helps since my dad is hard of hearing.
