"Mixed Feelings About The Commons Assisted Living"
The Commons is really big and quite crowded. They only have one studio on the 3rd floor. The staff member was friendly, but couldn't show me around during the FaceTime tour. I'm worried about how many staff members there are compared to the number of residents.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My folks find it tough to settle in. Here's why: 1. Food doesn't taste great. 2. They request mayo or mustard for sandwiches but get none, even after asking. 3. They miss out on getting their half and half. 4. Mom isn't pleased with how her clothes are folded; she has to iron them again to remove wrinkles.

"The Commons: A Great Place for Your Loved Ones"
My mom has been at The Commons for about a month, and it's been great so far. The place is clean, the rooms are nice, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is good and healthy, and there are lots of activities like Bingo, movies, speakers, and exercise. They even have a busy hairdresser. The Commons has been awesome, and I would definitely tell others about it.

""Looks Can Deceive at Hilltop Senior Facility""
When looking for a home for my Aunt, we thought Hilltop was a good choice. Their ads and shuttle bus seemed exciting and it wasn't hard to get her resolved to move there. Hilltop is clean and most of the staff really cares. My Aunt was happy with the activities and made lots of cool friends. But the high-level staff and corporate vice president for Adult services were ridiculous. Whenever there were questions or concerns, dealing with them was a nightmare. They lied and caused unnecessary trouble for my Aunt and our family who stood up for her. It was a tough fight to find peace and resolution for our loved one. We even got help from legal services for seniors, but it made no difference. They didn't back down from their mean, crazy accusations and lies. In the end, we decided to move her to another home. It was difficult because she missed many of the staff and her friends, but now she's happier and more peaceful.

"When Management Issues Outweigh Quality Amenities"
While this assisted living center is undeniably beautiful and has a lot of compassionate staff, our experience was marred by problematic interactions with the management. Despite the many activities and rather tasty food, far superior compared to others, my parents' issues with the management overshadowed these aspects. They learned the hard way that the management doesn't appreciate being questioned about their actions, or lack thereof. Efforts to follow up and resolve issues were met with significant resistance. This resistance wasn't just at the lower levels-- it extended to the top, with even the Adult Services Vice President refusing to accept the truth. Struggling to reason with them became a frustrating endeavor that not only strained us, but also placed undue stress on our parents. We were forced to engage the help of external legal services. My parents are now in a less amenity-filled place, but they are significantly happier. They have the peace of mind that they can voice their concerns without being disregarded or faced with baseless allegations.

"Mixed Feelings: Adequate Staff, Mixed Service, Clean Environment"
My aunt stayed here briefly, needing more care. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty, but service wasn't great. They kept the place clean. I'd suggest it.

"Good Social Life, But Care and Billing Issues Persist"
The workers don't really know how to handle folks with memory problems. They bill us for services they say they're providing for our family member, but we don't see it. Sure, she's happy there and has a lot of pals, but the care isn't up to par for what we're shelling out. It'd be awesome if all the stuff on their website was actually true!

""The Care Doesn't Match The Price Or Promises""
The workers here struggle to manage patients with dementia, and we often get billed for services that we were told were covered but aren't. My grandmother loves it here because she has a lot of friends, but I don't feel she's getting the quality of care that we're paying for. I wish all the promises made on their website were true!

"They Take Great Care of Mom"
The Commons takes great care of my mom. If she ever needs help, she just pushes a button and someone comes right away. It’s been a really good experience, and I highly recommend The Commons.

"'Beware of The Commons' Terrible Care and Unsanitary Conditions'"
My family has been at The Commons for over two years now, and we've noticed that the care staff is barely competent. They won't even apply a band-aid in an emergency! We pay a lot of money for this place but the quality of care and attention given to the residents is very disappointing. The cleanliness of the facility is absolutely awful. There are roaches and even fecal matter in the main pathways. Plus, the cleaning staff only comes two days a week, not 24/7.

"Assisted Living Center Not Vibrant Enough for Active Seniors"
I checked out The Commons, but it feels too much like a nursing home. My mom is starting to need that kind of care, but she doesn't see it yet, which is our main issue. When I visited on the weekend, there wasn't anyone around to talk to. The thing is, my mom is only 75. She looks really young, and seeing all the older folks with white hair and walkers was a shock for her. I think we need a place that feels younger and more lively.

"Too Old-Fashioned for My Youthful Mom"
I visited The Commons and it felt a bit too much like a regular nursing home for my liking. My mother is getting older, but she doesn't believe she is which is our primary issue currently. I dropped by on a weekend when there was no one available to speak with. My mom is just 75 and she still looks pretty young. She was quite stunned by the sight of all the senior citizens using walkers. I believe she needs a more youthful, lively environment.
