"Quality Care at The Gardens"
The Gardens at Columbine are great. Dad's hospice care is working well. We recommend it to other families, despite minor form issues.

"Mixed Experience at The Gardens Assisted Living"
One of the good things we liked about The Gardens was how nice the staff were and how well they took care of our family member. The chef, [name removed], was fantastic and made our experience even better. Our family member loved chatting with him. However, we had some problems with the staff not communicating well with each other and not following through on things.

"Engaging Assisted Living with Small Rooms"
This assisted living facility has lovely outdoor areas, bright halls, and engaged caregivers. Residents enjoy two outings each week, and staff communicate well. Hourly resident checks are mandatory, and both RNs and LPNs are on staff. The Executive Director has been here for 20 years, but the rooms are quite small. Dressing, showering, and toileting are included in the room charge.

"Exploring Assisted Living Options"
We had a great tour! The lobby, sitting areas, and dining room had a nice feel. The studio room was a little small, but having a kitchenette is definitely a bonus. We're still considering other options.

"Top choice before moving to Kansas City!"
This is a great facility with friendly staff. It was my top choice before we decided to move to Kansas City. The tour and presentation were detailed and helpful. Thank you!

"Perfect place for my mom!"
My mom is doing well at The Gardens at Columbine. The staff is friendly and really attentive. She enjoys going to the dining area with other residents, and the food is pretty good. They have many activities, but my mom can’t do much right now because she will have knee surgery soon. There are a lot of options, including field trips and shopping for those who want to go out. I would definitely recommend The Gardens at Columbine.

"Great Care for My Dad"
This place is great for care. We love how clean it is and the nice environment. The staff works well together as a team. They keep all the residents busy with lots of activities. The menu has a good variety of meals. I feel good knowing he’s in a nice place with good care and value. Families should check it out for their loved ones.

Disappointed
"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience"
My relative lived at this place for many years. Recently, there have been lots of staff changes, so they don't really know the residents anymore. The person in charge of activities used to come to rooms to invite residents, but the new one doesn't do that. If they say your loved one can stay until the end of their life, don't believe them. If there are any issues or if your loved one needs more attention, they'll ask you to leave. Sometimes I've seen dirty clothes lying around the bathroom instead of in the hamper, and clean clothes left out. Some days my family member looks like she's in an old nursing home, with unkempt hair and dirty clothes. I could keep listing problems. If you email the management, don't expect a response, because you won't get one. If I had to suggest this place to someone, I'd say look somewhere else if you can.

"Once Good Assisted Living Facility Diminished Over Time"
My relative stayed at this place for a long time. Recently, there have been so many new staff and they don't recognize the residents. The previous activities coordinator used to personally invite residents to activities, but the new one doesn't. Don't trust them if they promise your family member can stay 'till life's end, with a few exceptions' - if any trouble comes up or if your loved one needs extra care, they'll ask you to leave. I've seen dirty laundry left around and clean clothes not put away. There were days when my relative looked like she was in a bad nursing home - messy, dirty clothes, unbrushed hair. The list goes on. If you try to email management here, be prepared for silence - no response. My suggestion? If you're considering this place, you might want to look elsewhere.

"Night Nurse Gives Rude Service at Beautiful Assisted Living Facility"
The place looks good, actually, pretty nice. I was there to take care of my grandpa who had fever and wasn't doing well. We rang the nurse and a guy named came. He didn't even glance at us, especially since it was at night. He got mad for being disturbed and refused to answer any queries. He rudely said he wouldn't answer at that time, while checking his watch and grumbling. We were polite, but the way we were mistreated made me feel really bad.

"Uncaring Late-Night Staff Ruined Our Visit"
The building itself is really nice and even pretty. I was visiting my grandfather who was feeling really sick and had a fever. I called for a nurse's help and a guy named showed up. He entered my grandpa's room but acted like we weren't even there. He seemed upset because he had to answer our call late at night. He wouldn't even answer our questions and rudely told us he wouldn't talk to us at this late hour. I was really respectful, but it felt awful how badly he treated us.

"Safe and Well Cared For"
I know at The Gardens at Columbine that she is safe and well cared for. They don’t offer one-on-one care, but it’s better than where she was before. They mix her clean and dirty clothes, which is annoying since I do her laundry. I wish they had more animals and painting activities instead of bingo, because no one really plays bingo. Overall, things are fine.

"Pretty good, despite some falls."
It was a pretty good experience. Mom fell a couple of times, but I know they can't watch her all the time. We moved Mom to another place, but her time at The Gardens at Columbine was good overall.

"Spotlessly Clean and Impressive"
The first thing that really impressed us was when we walked in, I had to use the restroom and was amazed at how clean it was. It was spotless and nice, and the cleanliness has been impressive throughout the whole building. Everything about The Gardens at Columbine has been great, but the cleanliness is what really stands out and has impressed me the most.

"Nice Place with Great Food"
We really liked this place. The environment was nice, and it was in our neighborhood in Littleton. We had a meal there, and the food was very good. The atmosphere was great too.

"Wonderful Assisted Living Option Close to Home!"
This is a lovely place that's just 17 minutes from my house. Cyndy is awesome and very helpful. We really like this place a lot. We plan to contact mom's neurologist on Monday to ask his opinion about assisted living versus memory care and what he thinks is best for her. The Gardens is a wonderful assisted living facility, and we can see mom living there. As she progresses, we want to know if the facility can progress with her. They are building a locked memory care facility in spring, and the cost will be around $6,500. We might be able to get mom into assisted living first and then move her to their memory care unit when the time is right.
