"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
Overall, it’s a really nice place. The staff is super friendly, and it feels like home. But they could do better with communication, and it needs to be a bit cleaner. The main bathroom is always dirty, and my mom’s room had stained carpet and a messy paint job. We chose this place because the staff is friendly, the price is good, and it’s in a convenient location.

"Well-Rounded Community for Loved Ones"
I would suggest this community to others who are looking for a place for their loved ones. It's clean, in a good location, reasonably priced, and the staff are all reasons why it's a good place. However, there's a problem with communication between the administration and the families, as the administration tries to emphasize the positives. They serve three meals a day, and the residents get to choose. The food is really good.

"Improving Communication Key to Enhancing Assisted Living Experience"
Overall, we think they could improve their communication. Sometimes it's hard for our loved one to reach the staff and get a quick reply. However, they do a great job with activities for residents, offering a good variety. Because of the communication issue, some things get overlooked. We believe that once communication improves, everything will be better.

"Caring Efforts at The Retreat During Tough Times"
It is hard to judge a place because of the pandemic, and I think The Retreat is doing what everyone else is doing by trying to get through it. It wasn't perfect at first. When our loved one moved in, communication was really bad, and we were often confused. But now it has really improved. They are doing their best to keep the residents safe, being careful, and taking good care of them. We really appreciate that and commend them for it.

"Pleasant Facility, Needs More Staff for Timely Care"
The inside of the place is really pleasant. The meals taste pretty good, and it seems like everything’s nicer here compared to other spots. The staff are super kind and they make both my family member and me feel welcome. But they sure need to bring on more helpers. There are times when you have to wait more than 30 minutes after calling for someone, which feels like a really long wait.

"Community Thrives Under New Director"
The community’s current director, who’s retiring in December, made positive changes. Before COVID, there were various activities for residents. The new activities director is excellent with residents. My loved one enjoys the community, her apartment, the food, and the chef.
