"“ViewPointe: Decent but Flashy Memory Care Facility”"

We visited ViewPointe while looking for a Memory Care facility for our family member. The place was decent, but it felt too big and flashy for my liking. Plus, they had an eighteen-month waitlist. We opted to keep searching.

"Promises Unmet: Mixed Staff Responsiveness at Assisted Living Facility"

The community said they'd do a lot but hasn't delivered. One staff helps promptly by text or call, gives suggestions. Other staff don't respond to help us or our loved one.

"Warm and Caring Assisted Living Community"

The community is lovely, well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and caring.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Breaks Promises, Lacks Care"

The salesperson at the assisted living facility fed us a bunch of stuff that the nurses later told us wasn't true. I think the job of an assisted living place should be to help its residents. We were told they'd check in every two hours. But, the nurses said that wouldn't be happening and that the residents should stand up for themselves. They'd only check in with the residents when giving out medication, about 2-3 times a day. My family member ended up on the floor and the staff saw it happen. My family member insisted they didn't fall. The staff didn't even bother to help them up. This led to a hospital visit. The facility said they'd arrange for the hospital trip, but we were told to figure out how to get our family member back from the hospital ourselves. Additionally, I discovered that the nurse who carried out my family member's health assessment didn't even sign the assessment paperwork.

"Good cleanliness, needs better guidance and food"

As far as cleanliness, it's great. The staff is friendly and polite. I think they could give a bit more help to the residents. Yes, they provide a schedule, but my loved one is forgetful and doesn’t realize there are lots of things to do. I'd like them to remind him more about activities. We have some issues with personal hygiene. My loved one feels uncomfortable undressing and showering in front of female caregivers, so we asked for a male nurse, but that hasn't happened yet. The food is kind of bland, but I understand why.

"Underwhelming Assisted Living Tour During COVID"

This place was once just regular apartments. When we visited, nothing special caught our eye. It was during COVID, so we didn't see many people around. The lady who showed us around was friendly, told us things, and checked in on us a few times after.

"Head Manager's Outbursts Makes Assisted Living Facility Unbearable"

I wouldn't wish this place on my biggest enemy. Yeah, some of the employees are fine, but every time I came to see my mom, it felt like everyone was nervous. On one visit, I saw the head manager being loud and mean to the workers right in front of the residents and their families. You could tell right away that everyone felt awkward. A few days later, I overheard her at the front desk, totally ignoring a resident's family member. Not too long after, she even yelled at a resident in the dining room. I started to keep an eye on her, and quickly realized that all her angry outbursts were pretty common and she didn't care who heard. This woman isn't kind-hearted at all, especially when you see how she treats people. I was super worried to leave my mom there, and had a gut-feeling that it was only a matter of time before this manager started yelling at my mom. As soon as we found a better place, we got my mom out of there. I'd advise anyone considering moving in here to visit a few different times, just to be sure they're getting the real gist of the place. I seriously don't get how it's got any good reviews, unless the staff are writing them themselves. I've also noticed they can't seem to hold onto a nurse for very long. There's been like 4 or 5 different nurses in just the past few years! Don't gamble with the well-being of someone you care about!

"Dissatisfied with Unkind Facility Executive Director’s Attitude"

Unfortunate Experience with Unhelpful Director at Assisted Home Facility" I'm writing this critique based only on my interactions with the Executive Director . It's a pity because this care home is run by a woman who clearly isn't satisfied with where she is in life. I’ve seen her being sharp with me more than once. I was getting a family friend settled in here and needed some help. She told me that was against the rules. Yet, when I left, other employees stepped in to help me move stuff into the apartment. Never before have I heard of kindness being against any rules. That's just not right Being kind and decent is a basic human expectation, something you're missing. A huge thumbs up to all the other staff here who are working hard to improve things in the home and make it easier for residents' loved ones.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"

I like that it's a smaller place with spacious rooms and lots of storage. They take bus trips to different places. Having a PA available for Mom is great—no need to rush to the doctor's office. However, there aren't many activities, and the meal options are limited.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Ample Storage and Medical Support"

I like this place because it's smaller, and the rooms are pretty big with lots of storage space. They take residents on bus tours to different places. I also appreciate that they have a personal assistant available to check on Mom if there's a problem, so she wouldn't have to go to the doctor's office, even though our doctor's office is nearby. However, I didn't see many activities happening. There's only one meal option, and I don't think Mom would like it.

"Great service; high cost makes us wait for now"

The marketing agent was very attentive and sensitive, quickly adjusting her pitch to what we needed. We’d move in tomorrow if these independent living places weren’t so expensive. Maybe someday! When we’re ready, Viewpointe will be our top choice.

"Top Choice When Ready, Cost Is a Concern"

The marketing agent was very attentive and quickly adjusted to our needs. If the cost for independent living weren't so high, we'd move in right away. When we're ready, Viewpointe will be our top choice.

"Nice Place, No Bathtub Availability"

I visited ViewPointe while searching for a new home for my loved one. I liked it a lot. It's a nice community with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. However, my loved one really wanted a bathtub in her room, and they don't have that here.

"The Decision"

We visited this place and a few others. They were okay and met our needs, but my mom didn't choose this community for her own reasons.

"ViewPointe is one of the best!"

We toured ViewPointe for possible independent living in the future. The staff was very caring, and the residents looked happy and well cared for at all stages of retirement. The independent living apartments had a nice view, a balcony, and we liked the space in the two-bedroom unit. The faith-based aspect of ViewPointe appeals to us. The staff truly cares about the seniors' lives. Even though we arrived after meal time, the dining room smelled delicious, and we were glad to know they can meet special food needs. The activities for residents are excellent. While it would be nice to have a gym on site, they provide rides to the nearby Y for swimming and have exercise classes available. Of all the senior residences we've visited in three states, ViewPointe is one of the best we've seen. It’s very affordable!

"Great care and happy activities at this community"

Everything is going great for my mom at this community. The staff are really attentive and make sure she gets excellent care. She hasn’t complained about the food and likes to join in on activities now and then. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking.

"A wonderful place for mom!"

My mother is doing great since moving to View Pointe. The community is a big improvement from where she lived before. She has a room that’s twice the size of her old one. My mother loves the staff, the food, and the activities offered. She enjoys going on outings, and her favorite activity is Bingo. She also loves visiting the library to meet other residents. It has truly been a wonderful experience.

"Great care and clean community!"

I visited this community to learn about the care options. Although it wasn’t a planned tour, the staff was there to answer my questions. The community felt nice and was clean inside and out. I recommend this place for families looking for care for a loved one.

"Review of View Pointe - Colorado Springs, CO"

The entire staff at View Pointe, from delivery to cleaning, maintenance, and the business office, has been welcoming, friendly, and supportive since I moved here. As a retired RN, I'm very critical when it comes to evaluating care, and I can say without a doubt that the attention given to me and others is excellent!

"Review of View Pointe - Colorado Springs, CO"

My mom has been in the Memory Care Unit at View Pointe for about 14 months, and I am really happy with the care she gets. The staff is friendly and loves their jobs, showing real dedication to the residents. The food and facilities are both great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend View Pointe to anyone (and I already have!).

"We are really happy here!"

My loved one has only been here a short time, but we are really impressed and happy! They don’t charge for every little thing, which is great. They work with you on care plans, and I'm saving about $1,100 a month compared to other places. The memory care unit is new, so there aren’t many residents yet. They respect your wishes and ensure you’re happy, even if that means staying in your room for peace and quiet. They are caring and not overwhelming. Plus, since the building is a bit older, the rooms are much bigger! We are really happy here!
