"Residents Speak Up for Themselves!"

The building, food, and activities are great, but residents need to speak up more than I expected.

"Farmington Station Assisted Living Review"

The activities seem good, but it's early to judge if Mom likes them. We wish there was a formal orientation in the first week. Besides that, it's been great! We'd definitely recommend Farmington Station to others based on our experience so far.

"Farmington Station Assisted Living: Trouble for Resident's Care"

If there was an option to give zero stars, I would. I strongly advise against this place. They don't do assessments properly, or they accept residents who need two-person assistance, which they can’t handle. Despite advertising that they accept such residents, they clearly should not. My family member, who struggles with mobility, had a rough initial experience. Her first day, she remained bedridden until housekeepers entered her room the following morning at around 10am. No one checked on her in that duration, and she was fully aware of this neglect. When housekeeping finally arrived, her frustration was clear. She had a slight cough when admitted, but had tested negative for Covid. They said it was fine for her to move in. Strangely enough, after the mentioned incident, they then expressed concern about her cough and suggested ER assessment. She was then transferred for physical therapy. After a month, her condition improved incredibly. They stated that she could return to Farmington Station after her physical therapy, but then denied her return. Despite her enhanced strength she was turned away. It seemed as if they didn't want to cater to her care needs, leaving us unable to decide the next course for her. If they'd been upfront from the start about their capabilities, it would have been more understandable. Other facilities were honest, and we respected that. Why did the Farmington Station carry out an initial assessment, only to later reject her over a previously disclosed cough? This place seems more like a business, with residents reduced to numerical units than people. This situation caused her distress, broke our trust, and was wholly unnecessary. Thankfully she is now in a better place. But I feel obligated to share our experience, so that other families don't encounter a similar ordeal.

"Looks Good, But Major Failings in Care and Communication"

Yes, the facility looks good, and the nurses are impressive. A few other staff also do good work. But, they have a big issue with not being able to do their jobs well and not taking care of their residents properly. From the highest to the lowest levels, nobody seems to ask anything of them. Few even manage to smile. My mom was happy when she moved in, but we soon found out they made promises they couldn't keep and failed to follow through. It took a month before we even knew they washed the sheets. It took me another month to understand the extra fees. No one gave us a package with important info for new residents or a tour of the place. They convinced us to get a high-priced room with a half kitchen and left us to figure out the benefits and rules ourselves. My mom has now moved to a place that's not as nice, but where everyone, from the janitors to the boss, makes her feel valued every day.

"Great activities, helpful staff, and bright community!"

This place is clean, comfortable, and bright! It’s a top-notch community that has a lot of activities, and you can choose whether or not to join in. The staff is above average and really helpful. It's the only independent/assisted living facility that has restaurant service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and there’s no designated seating. The entertainment changes but is usually good! It feels like 'a cruise ship that never leaves port.

"Untidy Dining Area and Poor Service at Assisted Living Facility"

The front desk staff are really discourteous and don't even pay attention to guests who come in. In the dining room, there are these two male waiters who behave in a way that is not okay when serving food. The food service here is always delayed and takes forever to arrive. And, it gets frustrating when they frequently run out of food during meals. Plus, the tables and chairs in the dining room are not cleaned properly.

"Wonderful staff and excellent care for our family!"

This community truly went above and beyond for my brother and sister-in-law during a tough time. When he was about to be discharged from the hospital and couldn't go back home, they stepped in and helped us so much. They even rented furniture at no cost for their 2-bedroom apartment, making sure everything was ready before his discharge, which gave us time to switch out their own furniture later. The staff is comforting, caring, and my brother is getting great medical attention. We know they are safe and secure here. The dining room is open from 7am-7pm, letting residents order whenever they want, and the food is really good. Thank you to everyone for all you've done for our family.

I couldn't be happier with my choice to move my mom to this community. She is doing great, and I appreciate everything they have done for us. The staff is amazing—they are helpful, caring, and kind. They really take the time to listen and understand my concerns. Every time I visit her, I feel more comfortable with my decision to move her here. I would definitely recommend this community; it’s working out really well for us.

"Struggling with Communication at Assisted Living Facility"

Communication matters a lot. My family’s experience at this place has been a bit shaky. Sometimes, the staff doesn’t talk to us or even among themselves very well. It's happened more than once. We’re talking to them about it, though. We want things to get better for our loved one.

"A Welcoming Community with Great Amenities"

The staff here are friendly, patient, and kind to my mom. They organize various activities, including ones for male residents. Evening cocktail hours and outings are a hit. The upper level features a card room and games. The dining area is stunning, and the kitchen is always accessible. The food options are excellent, and they even offer monthly move-in specials. I highly recommend this community.

"Great food, friendly staff, and lots of activities!"

The food here is really good, and they have lots of healthy options. The staff are super friendly with my dad and always tell me how much they enjoy spending time with him. They make sure he joins in on many activities and the Tuesday field trips. They also have daily exercise classes and weekly entertainment. I would recommend this place, but make sure it fits your needs.

"An Amazing Experience"

My brother has made new friends since moving into The Landing. The staff is super friendly and got to know him right away. The food is really good. When our family visited, they reserved a private dining room for us and gave us a community tour. My niece loved it and said it's a fantastic place. We definitely recommend this community I'm even ready to move in myself!

"Amazing staff and great place for my sister-in-law!"

The staff at this community are amazing. They are attentive, caring, always say hello, and ask how you are doing. The place is very clean and beautiful. I've eaten here, and the food is good, like eating in a nice restaurant. My sister-in-law enjoys the activities and has made friends. I definitely recommend this community.

"Excited to move in myself!"

I recently moved my father to The Landing of Farmington. I love how bright and cheerful the community is! The natural light and common areas will really help with his adjustment. He enjoys the anytime dining and even asks the chef to make his favorite foods. The staff has been so nice to him! I visited the other night and saw him playing poker with two other gentlemen.
