"Assisted Living: Mixed Experience with Care, Staff Attitude Issues"
The special area (can't recall its name) was my concern. The folks at the front desk were usually nice. But most helpers weren't much help. They didn't listen to ways to assist my loved one. Instead, they'd call us to help them out. There was one aide who was wonderful. She treated him like family. But she couldn't be there all the time. The nurses often lost his meds and fibbed about giving them. They got mad at my nurse friend for asking simple questions. They wouldn't talk to us until she left. But I didn't even know what to ask, making me more upset. He fell a lot. When he asked for help, they didn't give him his hearing aids. They didn't tell us when he came back from the hospital in bad shape. He stayed in bed for 12 hours, and we had no clue. If you send a loved one here, visit daily. Otherwise, the staff might not pay attention. This isn't the place for someone with dementia who's not 'textbook.' For those like my loved one, who knew what was happening and weren't afraid to speak up, this isn't it. Also, if you're a Veteran without Medicare, it's not for you. We moved him closer to family and to save money. But now, I wish we hadn't. He might still be alive."

" Facility's Poor Handling of Memory Care and Aggressive Dementia"
Atria Greenridge Place is okay for assisted living, but I wouldn't suggest it for memory care. They claimed that the care the memory residents get would be the same as for regular residents, but this didn't pan out. Most of the time, the folks in memory care just sat in front of a TV, and they didn't have enough staff for the amount they needed. Our family member got hurt during an event with a staff member, and the higher-ups wouldn't listen to my worries or give me any write-ups about the incident. I should also mention that if your loved one ever acts out due to dementia, they'll be sent straight to the hospital for a mental check-up — even if they've calmed down. The ER people and the ambulance crew both said they didn't like this rule because it puts too much pressure on the resident.

"Memory Care Neglected at Atria Greenridge Place"
Atria Greenridge Place has two separate living communities: assisted living and Life Guidance/Memory Care. If you're seeking memory care for a loved one, I'd recommend avoiding Atria Greenridge Place. They don't have enough staff, and residents spend most of the day watching TV. The management's attention is solely on the assisted living side, leaving memory care residents feeling overlooked. There are few social activities, outings, or time spent outside. Management won't allow memory care residents to join activities on the assisted living side because "the assisted living residents don't want them over there." Moving a loved one into memory care is tough, and the reality doesn't match the sales pitch.

"Great Tour, Dark Rooms"
Our family got to tour the place in person, and we had a great time. The people who showed us around were really nice and gave us a lot of good information. They were just wonderful. However, the rooms where our loved one would stay seemed very dark and didn't have many windows.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Nice Amenities"
This place was pretty reasonable, not super fancy, but the dining hall and activities were really nice. The staff was great at giving us info without being pushy. It’s a good spot for my Mom since it’s close to the West Side market and her church. The rooms are basic, but the prices are way more affordable. Our only wish is that Mom could skip paying for all three meals—they’re included, but she doesn’t eat that much. One meal a day would be plenty.

"Atria Assisted Living Review"
We got to see Atria online and in person. It was alright. We didn't feel great about it. We checked reviews, but they were mixed.

"Inconsistent COVID rules and hard to work with"
They said my loved one needed a personal aide for help. The community wasn't easy to work with. They weren't consistent with their COVID rules. They only followed them when it suited them.

"Disappointing Experience with Unhappy Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The assistance group at this place really isn't up to scratch. They've hired workers who don't seem pleased to be here. All in all, it's been a disappointing experience.

"Amazing Care and Great Food - 5 Stars"
I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff takes care of everything. It feels like a nice hotel with medical care. They give new residents a concierge to help them join activities and eat meals together. They’ve handled every issue from the start. The food and care here are the best.

"Atria Falls Short for Mom's Needs"
Atria is a nice place, but it didn't work for Mom's needs right now, especially considering future care.

When my family visited, this place looked really clean. The person who gave them a tour was friendly. It seemed like a lively community, especially for independent living.

"Fantastic Place, Just a Bit Expensive"
We were really happy and excited about this place, and we still are. They have different areas for various needs, and everything is kept in great shape. It's a bit expensive, but other than that, it's a fantastic place!

"Awesome place with friendly staff and fun activities!"
Things have gone really well at Atria Greenridge Place so far! Everything has been great; I’d give them top marks in every area. If I could, I would rate the friendliness and activities even higher. The staff are all very nice, and they have a lot going on to keep the residents entertained!

"You can feel confident moving to Atria."
My dad stayed at Atria in Rocky Hill, CT for a few months due to his illness. We had a great experience from the first phone call. Moving in was smooth, and the friendly staff made us feel confident. We wish he could have stayed longer.

"Shortcomings of Atria Assisted Living"
We had a rough time in this place. They weren't really ready to take care of our family member's special needs. We got the approval to move him from a nursing home to Atria, an assisted living place, but the level of care they provided wasn't enough for him. They also told us that the family would have to take care of many of his needs. It could have been a decent place if the circumstances were different, but sadly it wasn't good for us.

"Amazing Care and Staff"
The staff at Atria are super caring and committed. The management is professional and involved. Everyone, from the friendly receptionist to the executive director, is dedicated to their mission. The sales director is always around, helping and talking with residents and their families. The staff is kind, caring, and respectful. Their name tags show how long they’ve worked there, and many have been there for over 3 years. Communication is great, with all calls and emails answered quickly. They really care about our mom.

"Great care and happy activities!"
My aunt is in the dementia unit and gets great care! She enjoys it there, which surprised me. She feels at home, believe it or not. She loves the activities, like bingo, entertainment shows, and crafts. Although she doesn’t share everything, I know she goes to birthday parties and similar events. It keeps her busy, and she enjoys that. The staff is excellent, and I appreciate that they let her go outside. She has some independence, but help is available if she needs it. She likes her room and everything else. The facility is clean and never smells. It’s a wonderful place! They help her only when necessary. Even the doctors say she's the best they've ever seen her. She’s being well taken care of!

"A Wonderful Place for My Aunt"
They’ve done everything I’ve needed and even handled special requests. We checked out a few places, and Atria seemed the best for my aunt. She’s adjusting, taking a bit of time, but she’s doing okay. She’s well cared for, it’s very clean, and everyone is super nice. They’re always happy to see me and keep me updated on events. From what I’ve seen, everything is great. They have lots of activities and outings, and during the day, there are different things for people to do. Everything I’ve seen has been great. If I need a place when I’m older, this is it!

It felt like Emeritus had more of what we needed, so we picked them. Atria didn't quite click for me, but there were no big issues. Overall, it's a nice community.

This place seemed good for my mom. Assisted living was nice. A bit far though. Memory care had locked section, beautiful but not ideal.
