"Assisted Living Needs Better New Resident Introduction"
The assisted living place has okay stuff to do, but they should really focus more on helping new people settle in.

"Atria: Friendly, Caring, and Delicious!"
Living at Atria has been great for me. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, with lots of activities to explore. The staff are responsive and caring, from the Wellness team to the Activities Department. I’ve enjoyed guest speakers and current affairs talks, but I’d love to see more current movies. The drivers are well-trained and pleasant, and the aides have always been kind. The Bistro is a fantastic place to connect and enjoy delicious food.

"Mixed Opinions on Atria Stamford's Assisted Living Experience"
I think Atria Stamford could offer more activities. I like that meals don't have assigned seats. Our apartment is great. I'm surprised they often run out of basic foods like bread, cereal, or fruit. The food service is just okay. But if you want a well-kept assisted living place with caring staff, Atria Stamford is worth considering.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Spacious Apartments"
Everyone is super friendly, and the apartments are spacious with excellent amenities. The building is newly renovated and quite large. However, I'm not sure if it's the right fit for my family member.

"Lackluster Follow-Up From Assisted Living Staff"
We visited this assisted living community before we made the choice to keep my parents at home. The people working there were nice and the community seemed clean and welcoming. However, we arranged for them to evaluate my mom and although they did come out and do the evaluation, we didn't hear back from them for two months. I think their office staff needs to be better about following up.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
I visited a nice community, but it cost more. The sales manager was friendly. They seemed to push independent living over assisted living, which wasn't what we wanted. The vibe wasn't as cozy as the place we picked.

"Neglected Elevators, Excessive Rent Increases Plague Elderly Residents"
Avoid this place at all costs. The elevators are always on the fritz, forcing elderly residents to get stuck in their rooms or in the main hall. Throughout two years that my mom or dad stayed here, this situation has not improved. You'd imagine they'd try to replace these old elevators, but it appears to not be a priority. At one point, all three elevators were simultaneously out of order - a serious risk to the health and safety of the residents. On top of all this, despite the old and worn-out condition of the building, management has imposed steep rent hikes each year. They talk of renovations, but we haven't seen any improvements that could justify these drastic increases so far.

I really like this place for taking care of my dad. The staff keeps me updated on how he’s doing, which I appreciate. The food is great, and he enjoys the different meals. He also stays busy with lots of fun activities. We would recommend this place to other families for the good care and value.

"Expensive Assisted Living with Great Staff and Clean Facilities"
Everything felt great during our stay. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the community was clean and lovely. The only downside was the high price—they offered the same services as others but charged more.

"Impressive Facility with Great Activities and Staff"
We toured this facility and it was very impressive, just like most Atria properties. The distance from New Jersey was a bit of an issue for us. Because of Mom’s transferring problem, it takes two aides to help her, which usually isn’t available without hiring a private duty aide. Mom’s health is slowly declining, so she might need more services in the next year or so. The staff, including nurses (RN) and para-professionals (LPN, CNA), have limited time for non-emergencies. For example, needing to use the toilet urgently is considered a non-emergency. Positives: There are lots of activities, mostly for independent living. The food is good, and the same aides are assigned to residents for both morning and evening shifts. The facility is right across the street from the hospital and rehab center. Plus, they have a Harvard MBA on the management staff.

"A very upbeat place"
It's really hard to move your parents from their home, downsize their cherished belongings, and admit they need more help. I toured 4 facilities in my area, and Atria was the most beautiful and upbeat place. It has an energy I didn’t feel in the other three, and the residents were super friendly every time I visited. The staff is wonderful and caring, and there are lots of activities. Before, my parents were at home with an aide and had no one to interact with. My mom stopped doing her hair and makeup, and my dad slept all day. They only went to doctor appointments. Now, they get up, go to meals, sit with other residents, and converse. They take the meds they used to forget, and they look forward to the day's activities. On weekends, the place is full of family visiting or taking their parents out for the day. It's not a place where people just dump their parents. For us, it was the best choice. It's bright, sunny, immaculate, and full of life. There's no perfect solution when your loved ones start to decline, but I have peace of mind knowing they are at Atria because their lives have improved. They have a reason to get up in the morning.

"Finding the Right Place"
This place is super friendly! They know everyone's name and they really care about giving caregivers a break. It was such a relief to find a spot close to the doctors and the Tulley Center. I've only been here a month, but my real test will be how they handle long-term care. The person I brought here loves it! They have tons of fun activities. And price-wise, you get a lot for your money here compared to other places nearby.

"Good Activities"
My sister stayed here for a year and a half, and she’ll be returning soon. She really enjoyed the activities at this place. The building is quite big, and it now offers better activities for my sister. Atria has also made some improvements. Previously, they only served two meals a day, but now they provide three. Additionally, they’ll have Mass once a week, which is more convenient than having to go out on the bus.

"Mom Found Assisted Living Too Active, Urban, and High-Rise"
My mom and I visited this assisted living place, and it was nice. But it was too busy and city-like for her. Also, it's a tall building.
