"Disappointing Reality of Assisted Living Home Revealed"
I logged on to share my poor experience and to offer some advice to those thinking about choosing this home. I was planning on giving a few pointers on what to ask. However, seeing the other reviews and the company's false replies got me upset. Not all residents can walk by themselves as I saw hoyer lifts on my visit. Despite the salesperson saying they can accommodate residents with lifts and that they've been accepting residents who need more care. There were numerous people in wheelchairs who required assistance from the staff. I initially spoke to the community director, whose name I won't mention. She mentioned the lively, youthful, and engaged residents they have. I thought this was the perfect place for my Mom. But when I visited spontaneously one day, it was a completely different sight. What I saw was mostly an empty home. Their idea of an engaged community involved only one activity with two participants. Additionally, I overheard the staff complaining.

"We Had A Pleasant Tour Of This Community"
We had a pleasant tour of this community. Everyone was kind to my family and me. Our tour guide was punctual, kind, and informative. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. They maintain good cleanliness throughout the facility, and everything looked great. Although everything went well, we did find another community that suited our needs better.

"A Positive Experience"
My brother really liked the food and the awesome menu choices. The staff took great care of him, even handling his laundry and providing basic furniture for his room. They were attentive and followed up regularly. The special move-in offer sealed the deal for us. The community and his room were always clean. I'd definitely recommend this place.

"Exceptional Care and Loving Staff"
My dad lived here for about a year and a half before he passed away recently. The team at this community is amazing. They gave him personal attention every day and knew exactly what he needed. I’m so glad that his last years were made better by finding a second family at Brookdale. I was touched by how many staff members came to his services. It showed me he was truly loved. I highly recommend moving your loved one to this wonderful community. You won’t be disappointed.

"Facility visit: Not welcoming, small rooms, dull floors"
When I popped in for a visit to this facility, there was no one to greet me at the desk. I needed someone to open the door to the memory care section. They showed me a room that was pretty tiny, and the whole place didn't give off a welcoming vibe. It was clean, but the floor didn't shine like I expected.

"Unfulfilled Promises: Assisted Living Review"
The Good: Mom's apartment is big and pretty. Maintenance is quick and friendly. The place is nice and clean. Claire and Nadine are awesome. Staff are mostly friendly. The Bad: Some staff mix up dates. Problems with transitioning to Brookdale. No name tags make it hard to know who's who. Short-staffed at meal times. Nurses made serious medication mistakes. Meal plan not as promised. Wi-Fi not working as advertised.

"Impressive Assisted Living Community!"
I visited this community while exploring care options for a family member. I toured several Emeritus communities and found their facilities impressive. The community was well-maintained, and I appreciated their policy of upgrading and renovating resident rooms. Although I didn't choose this specific Emeritus location due to logistics, I recommend it for other families.

"So far, things are pretty good."
Everything is still new. I feel like communication could improve a bit. Some small requests haven't been fulfilled promptly, but there might be reasons. The food is great. There are two sides: one for more independent residents and another for memory care.

"Low stimulation and high turnover; unhappy with facility."
This place is suited for those with serious dementia. It's small, which might be good for some, but the activities they provide don't offer much stimulation. The staff is kind and watchful, but that didn't make up for the lack of entertainment. We quickly realized our mother, who needed more active engagement, wouldn't be happy here. The residents seemed to be in the later stages of dementia, and the activities reflected that. We were also unhappy with the cleanliness, though the management may have fixed that by now. Be cautious: staff emails are by role, not name, which may hint at frequent staff changes. Wise tip: always get a trial period in writing before committing if you're unsure. Sadly, we learned the hard way and had to leave a lot of our mom's hard-earned money behind when we moved her.

"Unexpected Visit and Doubtful Rooming Arrangements"
This place came without warning to see my mom early in the morning and claimed it was arranged. They caught us by surprise. They planned on putting her in a room with another lady and only one bathroom for both of them. It just didn't feel right. They had more room but they seemed set on having two ladies share one room and one bathroom.

"Laundry Problems but Good Overall"
We chose this place, and it’s been good so far. They could do a better job of keeping track of personal items. My mother-in-law came with seven pairs of pants, but now they’re all missing. There have been some laundry issues, but they say they’ve updated their procedures. She shares a room and they take residents out to places like art museums and shopping centers about once a week. Overall, we’re happy with it.

"Clean, Nice Layout, 3 Nurses: Great for Dad!"
The place is clean, with a nice layout that's not confusing. There are three nurses during the day, and they offer a lot of activities. The rooms are a decent size, although there aren't many married couples. On Fridays, there are doctor appointments, and the menu is good. Plus, the monthly visits from the podiatrist are beneficial for Dad.
