The Residence at Brookside

"Mixed Feelings about The Residence at Brookside"
The Residence at Brookside seems nice and staff were friendly. But they don't have enough workers and people keep leaving. That's not good. Also, the care wasn't great. My brother's medicine got mixed up a few times, and they didn't talk well with each other or with us. I expected better care for what we paid.

"Mixed Feelings at Brookside"
I like living at Brookside overall, but the recent price increase for my apartment isn’t great. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. I don’t participate in activities, though I feel the value for cost isn’t equal.

I enjoy living at Brookside because it's clean. The meals are okay, but more activities would be nice. The staff is friendly, and it's great seeing all the Christmas decorations and staff joining in.

"Assisted Living Review: Clean Facility, Great Meals, Friendly Service Needed"
The building looks really nice and it's very clean. The meals are great. The activities are fun and the care service is excellent. I do wish the staff would be a bit friendlier because that would make a big difference in a community this size.

"Great food, but needs walker storage"
I wish there was a place to put our walkers in the dining area. They’re always all over the place. It would be nice to have a special area for them. I'm very happy with the dining service and the food.

"Terrible Communication at Costly Brookside Assisted Living"
My grandma or grandpa lives at Brookside, and the way they talk to us is so bad! I've requested SIX TIMES to get emails about parties for holidays so I can come and not a single email or call. What a joke! They don't always get the phone, no voicemail! In the times now with this virus, updates would be nice, how are they keeping the old folks healthy??? Let the families know what’s going on! I wouldn't suggest Brookside for the cost, the communication is awful-- so not cool. Charging 10k a month for a single bedroom and 10k a month for around the clock help.

"Residence Review Summary"
This place is hard to rate. It's expensive, and I thought it would have better care. I moved my 94-year-old mom from another facility, but she didn't like it there. The food was important to her, and she's picky. I chose the Residence because the food was supposed to be great, and the staff seemed happy. But since she's been there, the director and the person in charge of care left. I'm not too impressed with how things are now. It's not bad, but I hoped for more considering the cost. Everyone's situation is different, so I can't recommend it. Making this decision is tough, and you just have to hope for the best. Good luck!

"A Wonderful Place for My Loved One!"
The staff here really puts me at ease. They are super helpful and caring to me and my loved one. My loved one is adjusting very well. The staff always keeps me updated on any changes or progress. They also have lots of activities. The food is good, and if my loved one doesn't like a meal, the chef will make something else.
