"Friendly Staff and Informative Tour"

We took a virtual tour of this place, and the staff was super nice and helpful. They made sure to answer all our questions.

"Community Excels in Activities and Food!"

During the pandemic, they swapped cloth couches for leather in the common area. They keep families informed and involve my dad in lots of activities. Plus, he really enjoys the food, especially the soup.

"Cozy and Affordable Assisted Living with Good Food and Entertainment"

I really liked the Village at Brookfield. It was affordable, and the food was good. They have different levels of care and prices to fit each person's needs. We liked that it's a smaller community, so it felt cozy and welcoming. They have events listed on a calendar, and sometimes they bring in choral groups to entertain the residents, which we enjoyed.

"Payment Delays Plague Assisted Living Entertainment Provider"

Hey there! So, this company I worked for, hired by The Village at Brookfield Common to entertain their residents, didn't pay us on time. We did cool stuff, like educational presentations, and people liked it. But when it came time to get paid, they took forever. We had to nag them with social media reviews just to get our money. It seems like they're not into paying small companies who help out seniors.

"Quiet Country Setting Close to Shopping, Activities, and Spacious Rooms"

I liked this place a lot when we visited. It's in a nice spot, a bit away from everything so it feels calm and rural, but you can still get to stores and stuff easily. They have tons of things to do here, and the rooms where people live are really big. The only problem was they didn't have any openings when we were checking it out.

"Great Care and Friendly Staff at a Good Value"

This is a nice place. The staff is friendly and really cares about my mom. The food is good, and she likes the menu. They also make an effort to keep her busy with activities that are helpful. I feel good knowing my mom is getting the care she needs. We’d suggest this place to other families looking for good care at a fair price.

"Different Atmosphere, Enjoyable Tour"

My visit to this community went really well. The place looked good, clean, and well-maintained. Each community I saw had a unique atmosphere. The staff was friendly, informative, and answered my questions. Overall, it was a pleasant tour. This community is nice with friendly people.

"Dad’s Happy and Safe in Great Care Home"

My dad’s doing good since he moved into this place. I think he’s safe and everyone’s looking out for him. The people who work here really make sure he’s got what he needs. The place is always looking sharp and tidy when I drop by. It’s a super nice spot, and I’d tell others to check it out.

"Enjoyable visit, but chose closer community."

The Village at Brookfield Common was nice, but too far.

"Nice Tour, Wrong Fit!"

I had a good tour for my loved one here. The staff was punctual and gave us lots of helpful info. The place had a good layout and cool stuff for everyone. But, it wasn't right for my mom in the end.

"Great Care for My Mom"

We really like the care my mom gets here. The staff is kind and pays close attention to her needs. The place is well-kept and clean. Mom enjoys the meals and all the activities. We would recommend this place to other families looking for a safe and homey environment.

"Staff Unfriendly, Facility Needs a Facelift"

The place was neat and well-maintained. However, the memory area really needs a makeover, it appeared quite aged. The employees didn't seem too happy or friendly, which is a red flag in my book.

"A great place with caring staff!"

I am very happy here. The staff is super nice and helpful with any issues we had. It’s very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. The meals are really good! They truly care about everyone! What more could you want? I would recommend this place to anyone.

"Nice Place, But Not What We Required"

The Village at Brookfield Common is a nice place, really pretty. They have a lot of activities and even take you to them. The people who showed me around were helpful and answered my questions. They even gave me a little bit of food to try and it was good. But, this place wasn't the right one for my wife, as she needs someone to look after her all day and night.

"Great Care for Independent Residents at The Village"

My brother needed more help than The Village could provide, but we still had a wonderful experience there. I was really happy with all the services they offered. I think this community would be just right for someone who is a bit more independent than my brother. The staff was so nice and always ready to help us with everything.

"Seemed Pleasant, Not Ideal for Our Loved One"

We visited this community when considering care options for a family member. It appeared pleasant overall, but I didn't believe it would suit our loved one's care needs.

"Fantastic and easy transition!"

The staff and residents are really friendly. We checked out a lot of places and this one stood out. They keep in touch all the time, have daily activities, and even go on trips. On St. Patrick's Day, they had Irish dancers! It’s a great place to socialize. The transition was super easy, and I would definitely recommend this community.

"Poor Care and Management at Assisted Living Facility"

My mom stayed at this place for two years. Eventually, they moved her to the memory care ward. The place got really dirty; I started seeing bugs and there were bad smells. Mom wasn't getting proper baths and they even lost her false teeth and hearing aids. The people running things were nice, but they weren't good at their jobs and no one was taking responsibility. Often, the folks in the memory care ward were left by themselves because the person who's supposed to do activities was busy with the other residents. We were relieved to leave.

"Pretty Good, But Some Problems with Staff"

Overall, our experience at The Village at Brookfield has been decent. It's a pleasant location and the folks are welcoming. Still, we've run into a few problems with the CNAs working here.

"Clean, friendly, and active, but don't eat the hamburgers."

It's super clean, and the staff is really nice. But the food? Not so great. Lunch was okay, but dinner? Dreadful. It's not fresh—mostly frozen. We eat out twice a week because she won't touch their hockey puck hamburgers. The activities are okay, but they talk too much. Residents need more chances to share their opinions. The nostalgia thing feels scripted. Still, the community responds quickly to issues. Nice people, though—the most active place we've seen. Feels homey.

"Very happy with The Village’s care and location"

The Village has great reviews from my two former sitters who visited my dad there. I am very happy with the care my dad is getting. The staff doesn’t change much. Everyone seems really good at their jobs. They all know the residents and their needs. They have staff meetings often. My dad’s room is nice and airy. There are lots of activities. It’s an excellent place! It’s pricey, but maybe that’s why the residents are high quality too. It’s easy to get to and has its own traffic light, which is super helpful. It’s near shopping areas, so you can get other things done when you visit. They also listen to my thoughts about my dad’s care and try to meet my requests.

"Clean Place, Friendly People, No Unique Features"

We visited here while exploring care choices for a family member. The place was clean, and the people working there seemed nice, but it didn't have any special features compared to other places we saw. I wasn't really fond of the building design for my family member. It had more than one floor, meaning they would have to use stairs or wait for an elevator to go to common areas.

"Spacious, Clean, and Friendly Assisted Living"

They had rooms and programs similar to the one we picked, but it was a larger facility. It felt spacious, clean, and friendly. Although I had no issues with it, the one we chose suited her personality better.

"Disappointing Location"

This place was up on a hill, but it overlooked a busy street and train tracks, so the spot and the views weren't great. It seemed nice with friendly folks and all, but it didn't fit what we were looking for.

"Warm Staff, Preferred Ridgefield"

I liked this place, and my brother liked it a lot, but he felt more welcomed at their sister community. We visited twice. It was very nice, and the staff was warm, but the sister community in Ridgefield just felt right for us.

"Not quite right for us, but overall nice community."

Nice place, lots of fun, Halloween visit. Apartments good. Many care staff. Pub and happy hour not ideal for Mom, drive too long.
