"Friendly Community with Excellent Staff Follow-Up"
This community was really nice and beautiful. The Memory Care unit looked very much like a place for recovery. The staff did a great job following up with us.

"Beautiful setting but lacked impactful staff for loved one's care"
This place is by the water, which is really nice. But it wasn't what we wanted for our loved one. We were hoping for a place where the staff really made a difference, and we didn't feel that here.

"Wonderful Staff, Clean Facilities, and Great Dining at Mariners Point"
The community is pretty clean, though they could do a bit more with the vents in the common areas. Overall, it’s a very tidy place. The staff are amazing they knew my name right away. As a registered nurse, I've found them to be very accommodating, understanding my needs and lifestyle. They genuinely care about the residents. The community is also very pet-friendly. I enjoy a beautiful view from both my bedroom and living room windows. If I'm not around at a certain time, they come check on me. I absolutely love the meals and the dining service. The food is great, and the dining staff always greet me warmly. I highly recommend The Village at Mariners Point to families looking for a fantastic place for their loved ones.

"Amazing Care and Communication at Mariner's Point"
We moved our dad from another place to Mariner's Point, and we're really glad we did. Communication is super important, and Mariner's Point has been great about it. Everyone—from the receptionist to the nurses to the director—has always answered our calls and emails. The facility is beautiful, the food is good, and the desserts are the best (dad really loves ice cream). We’re very happy with Mariner's Point, where it feels like everyone cares.

"A Fantastic Place!"
The staff at this place is super friendly and always ready to help. We feel like it's a huge improvement from our previous location. My loved one really enjoys being here, and there are lots of fun activities for her to participate in. Plus, she likes the food, and everything is falling into place nicely.

"Decent Living Conditions, But Needs Organizational Improvements"
Many people would agree with the criticisms I'm about to share about this assisted living facility. The quality of the apartments is pretty low. The kitchens are poorly designed, with subpar cabinets and an awkward layout. It's not that most people need a big kitchen, but if it's going to be included, it should at least be decent. The carpet is also cheap and gets stained quickly. The fake wooden flooring in the entrance area and kitchen is unattractive. It looks aged and worn out even though we're told it's brand new, but at least it's not slippery. The design of the bathroom is impractical for older people. The shower is the worst part–there's no space for soap or shampoo unless you place it on the seat. Additionally, the shower head isn't easily accessible, especially for those with mobility issues. Outside, the deck is only cleaned if you complain about it being dirty. As for the rest of the facility, it's generally well-kept apart from the rear stairs which aren't cleaned regularly. The best aspect of this place is its layout. Unlike other facilities with narrow hallways, this one has wide, well-lit corridors—it's more inviting rather than feeling like a cave. Everything extends directly from the central atrium, making navigation simple. The staff members are amazing as individuals but the coordination between them is a mess. The organization structure is super confusing—it's hard to grasp who is in charge of what. We were also misled during the sales pitch. We were told everything was taken care of in-house, but that's not exactly true. Watch your bill closely. Many others have also complained about unexpected charges. The activity program lacks creativity. There's too much repetitive and dull activities, with bingo being a common fallback. On the upside, the atmosphere is great and the air quality excellent because it's near the sea. The landscaping is attractive, however, walking paths with benches would have been nice. Be careful with the path leading to the beach, it has a large gap making it risky for wheels. You'll have to get involved significantly in your relative's care or just accept whatever happens. Other families have had similar concerns about the billing and organizational issues. Even with these downsides, our family member seems content. It was the most lively place we found, with residents mingling—which was what we liked best about it.

"Semi-decent assisted living with cool amenities but deceiving model apartment"
The Village at Mariners Point was just alright. The show model looked really great with granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom and pretty cabinets. But when we saw the actual apartment, it was disappointingly different with cheap laminate countertops and a strange kitchen layout. It didn't give the same vibe as the model, which was pretty disappointing. On the bright side, they had a nice pool and theater, and the folks there seemed friendly.

"Lackluster Assisted Living Facility Raises Concerns Among Residents"
The people who work here are mostly really nice and caring. But, there's a big problem with the bosses changing a lot. This makes things messy and means no one is in charge for long. The big company that owns this place, Benchmark, seems to care more about how things look than how good the help actually is. The part of the place that helps people with memory problems is run by nice people too, but they don't get enough help or training. It's not organized well, and the bosses from Benchmark don't seem to know much about it either. When we came to look around, the people trying to sell the place to us didn't really know what they were talking about. There's not much fun stuff to do here, and Benchmark doesn't seem to care about that either. I tried to talk to them about these problems, but they just tried to make me feel better instead of fixing things. Benchmark might care a lot about how this place looks, but they're doing a bad job of making it a good place to live. If you come to visit, make sure to write down your questions and what they say. What they promise might not happen if you move in.

"Appearances Can Be Deceiving At This Assisted Living Facility"
Most of the workers at this assisted living home are awesome, very kind and attentive. But there's a big issue with the higher-up positions changing way too often. This makes it hard to have a smooth operation and proper supervision. The main office seems more worried about how the place looks rather than the actual service quality. The special unit for memory care is also filled with amazing, compassionate staff, but they don't get the proper management, training, or help they need. When we visited, the people who showed us around didn't really know how the memory care department worked. We felt like we were given wrong information. There isn't much imagination when it comes to the activities, and the main office doesn't seem bothered by this. I've reached out to them a bunch of times, but they just tried to pacify me. Yes, they're all about looking good on the outside, but they're failing hard when it comes to the actual service they provide. If you're thinking about having a look around, make sure to write down all your questions and what they answer. Chances are their promises won't become realities.

"Mixed Experience at Mariners Point Assisted Living Facility"
Nice facility with a beautiful pool. The staff is friendly. My mom liked it, but we were disappointed with the food and menu. Unlike other places, Mariners Point lacks a kitchen(ette). Not all rooms have private outside access. Overall, a lovely setting, but those factors made us look elsewhere. Still, worth considering if these issues aren't a priority for you.

That place was really nice. It was lovely and had a pool. Out of the 5 places I checked out, there was one that stood out for my parents. I let them make the final decision.

"Great Place with Wonderful Staff and Happy Residents"
My mother-in-law isn’t there anymore, but The Village at Mariners Point was great. It was close to her home, she knew many people there, and the staff was fantastic. Her son decided to move her to Florida to be closer to him. There was nothing wrong with The Village. She was very happy there.f

"Expensive Place, Less Care for Facilities"
This place lets us down because they have things like a gym, a swimming pool, and a pub. But, since many residents don't use them, they don't take care of these places. Mostly, the gym's equipment doesn't work well. You can find 2 out of 3 machines not working. They also don't keep up with the pool. And the pub? They'll show it to you and make it seem like it's open all the time. But you can only go in on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for one hour each day. It looks like there's a lot to see and do here, but really, things are either limited or not working. They really need to take better care of these spaces. And it's pricier here too - each resident pays about $3,500 every month.

"Memory care, abundant men, pool, Saturday 10:00 - great combination!"
This assisted living place is pretty good. They have a special area for people who need help with their memory. There are lots of men living here, which is nice. They also have a pool you can use. On Saturdays, they have something happening at 10:00 in the morning. Plus, you can even combine two apartments if you want a bigger one with two bedrooms. Overall, it's a great place!

"Lovely Setting, Excellent Value!"
The assisted living facility has a lovely, peaceful setting. It offers excellent value, with customized assistance across five levels. The Woods, more secluded and tranquil than the Lodge, is larger than Draper Place and easily accessible from Rte 290.
