"Great place, close to family, keeps me involved."

I really liked this place. I'm seriously thinking about making it my final home. It's close to my family. I'm happy with everything here and how they keep me involved in the world.

"Friendly Staff, Busy Location, Small Outdoor Area"

I visited this community, and I think it’s a good deal for the price. The staff were friendly, and I wouldn’t have minded living there. However, I decided against it because it’s in a busy area. As someone from the countryside, I wanted more open space, and the community’s outside area was smaller than I would have liked.

Admin staff friendly, nursing caring, memory care program lacking. Not recommended.

"Mixed Feelings: Great Location, Inconsistent Care, Hope for Improvement"

The place is in a great spot, close to lots of fun things in the city. People who live on their own have a good setup because they're independent! But, the care in the Assisted Living part isn't that great. Same goes for the skilled nursing section. Some of the staff are nice and helpful, but others are not. It feels like there's not enough supervision overall, and the staff aren't trained well and don't work together. The people in charge don't seem to know about all the problems, like with the building or the staff. But maybe things will get better since they seem willing to fix things. Talking to others with family here, it seems like my feelings aren't uncommon. I hope they can make things better!

"Great facility with friendly staff for recovery and transition"

This place was really good for my friend. He stayed here while he was healing from surgery and later in the Independent Living section while his house was being repaired so he could go back home. The location was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

"Urban vibe, small rooms, good on-site rehab."

Urban feel is great for city residents, but our dad prefers suburbs. Not enough greenery and the rooms are small. The on-site rehab is good for continuous care.

"Grandpa Feels at Home at Thomas Circle"

My grandpa didn’t want to move at first. But on his first day, he met lots of friendly people. By Saturday, he felt right at home and found fun things to do. When I called him after four days, he said it was a good choice and felt like home. We’re happy he likes it and glad we found Thomas Circle.

"Great for seniors, could add weekly crafts"

I really like TC; it's a great place for seniors. Moving here from another state, my mom wishes they had weekly crafting sessions.

"Disappointing Changes at Assisted Living Facility"

I've lived in this place for six years. There've been 3 different management teams. At first, I liked it, but things changed when the latest team came in 3 years ago. I'm really not happy with them. They're not honest and try to cover up mistakes by lying. I've complained to the Mayor of DC and the Health Department about their wrongdoings. Right now, I'm in the middle of a complaint against them for overcharging on insurance and giving the wrong level of care to get more money. I wouldn't suggest anyone come here while this management team is still in charge. Even though I don't want to move because of the location – it's close to everything I need like restaurants, the library, and theaters – I don't want to give the CEO the satisfaction of making me leave. I hope she and her team leave soon. The food is okay, not great. It's gotten worse since this new team took over. But the caregivers and nurses are good. When I got sick two years ago and had to go to the skilled nursing unit, they took really good care of me.

"Social Atmosphere Divisive, Facilities Convenient but Lacking Community Engagement"

This place is pretty clean and neat, and the folks who work here are really nice. But, the people who live here tend to stick together in groups and sometimes act like they think they're better than others. The staff doesn't really do much to help with that. If you're someone who's well-off and cares a lot about being high up in society, and maybe you went to a fancy school, you might like it here. But if you're looking for a place where everyone gets along and helps each other out, you might want to keep looking. The location downtown is good for some people, but parking is really hard to find, and there's not much space outside. If the person you're thinking about bringing here can move around pretty well, there are parks nearby, but they're not super close.
