"Mom Is Settled and Staff Is Helpful"
Another year at Brookdale. Mom is okay so far, especially after she was moved to another room because her roommate passed away. The staff did all the moving and set up.

"Brookdale: An Unsafe, Ill-Managed Assisted Living Facility"
Brookdale is a place I wouldn't recommend putting your loved ones. It's a terrible facility and they don't care about the residents at all. This place definitely needs new management. The employees there treat the residents horribly. I wouldn't even consider placing my pet in such a place. Accidents keep happening, specifically falls, one after another. I've even heard that some employees actually lay their hands on the residents.

"Brookdale: A Friendly, Family Atmosphere"
I think Brookdale is great for older folks. It feels like family! I'm pleased with Brookdale because they're friendly and make an effort to involve the residents. The environment is nice.

"“Caring Staff and Smooth Process”"
It was a super friendly and caring place. All the staff were really nice. They helped us get into the facility quickly because our mom was in rehab. They made the process easier for us. I would totally recommend them! And big thanks to A Place for Mom for helping us out.

"Nice staff, but billing issues and bad communication"
The place was clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. But four months after my dad left, we're still trying to fix the final bill and get our credit. It's really hard to contact management and get a response.

"Helpful staff and comprehensive care for loved ones with dementia"
Brookdale's staff has been really helpful in finding a good place for my Mom to get the care she needs. Taking care of a family member with dementia is hard. The staff are there for the family as well as the person getting care and they help reassure you that you've made the best choice for your family. Having a regular doctor and a podiatrist on staff is a great advantage. They address safety, medical, nutrition, emotional, behavioral issues, and more.

"Assisted Living Facility: Engaging Care, Improve Evening Visits and Communication"
They're doing well with my loved one, keeping them engaged. Communication could improve. No evening visiting hours makes visiting challenging; more accommodation needed.

"Safe and Recommended Memory Care"
The staff communicates well, keeping me informed about updates. They prioritize residents’ safety and well-being, with good security measures. However, they could use more staff in memory care. Overall, I recommend them for memory care.

"Caring Staff, Home-like Atmosphere at Brookdale Assisted Living"
We think having a full-time nurse could improve things a bit, but overall the staff and other residents treated our parents really well, almost like family. Many of them were sad when Mom and Dad passed away. I believe if Brookdale had a registered nurse overseeing things all the time, Mom and Dad wouldn’t have had to go to the hospital so much because the facility has to follow health safety rules. As a family, we were happy with the service at Brookdale. How much did it cost? All of these places cost “an arm and a leg,” but Brookdale didn’t seem any more expensive than other places in the Dover area. They were caring, and that’s what really matters.

"Great facility, but location too far for our needs."
The tour was nice, the facility was great, but it's too far from where we needed to be.
