"Mixed Experience at Paramount Assisted Living"
Paramount was a decent place. We had a rough start, but our loved one improved during their stay. On the second night, no one took them to dinner, so we had to fetch it ourselves. Throughout, we emphasized telling, not asking, our loved one to do things. The staff quality varied.

"“Subpar Assisted Living Experience”"
This place doesn’t meet expectations. The food isn’t good, there aren’t many options, and the rooms are dirty. Staff response times worry me, and the halls smell bad.

"Mismanaged Care at Paramount Leads to Horrendous Experience"
Ensure they accurately analyze your dear one's abilities and care necessities. My father was correctly placed in their memory unit due to his dementia. His first night there was challenging; he was nervous and bewildered. It’s standard behavior for someone with dementia; his fear led him to hit a caretaker. I had to go down there to soothe him. The very next night, they threatened to press charges against him. Don't they have training to deal with this type of situation? He only stayed there 9 days, though we paid for more. They then transferred him to a hospital, and I was relieved. I never felt comfortable with him being there and was always ready to rush to the facility at any moment. Eventually, I decided to move him out. He's in a better-suited spot now; however, the bad taste from Paramount can't be rinsed. After I reached out to the main office, they did return some of the money, which I appreciate. Still, it's clear to me they took advantage of our elderly family member. It was an awful ordeal.

"Not So Impressive Tour Experience"
Our family visited an assisted living facility in person, but the tour experience wasn't very impressive. The building and the person who showed us around didn't leave a positive impression.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Tour"
Our family took an in-person tour, and it was an okay experience. The activities were all in one big area, but we would have liked it more if they were in segmented areas.

"Medication Hassle at Assisted Living"
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. My mom had fun. My only problem was that I couldn't bring her meds myself—I had to use their Omnicare, which cost more than CVS.

"Good Staff, Poor Food, Room Cleanliness Issues"
This place has a good location and the people who work here are nice to the older folks. But the food isn't tasty, and sometimes they don't tidy up the rooms well. I think they could clean better. I've only been here during the pandemic, and they don't have enough staff.

"Mixed Feelings About Pleasant Assisted Living Facility"
This place was pleasant. Although our virtual tour made it a bit challenging to fully experience everything, overall, it was nice.

"Needs Improvement: Good Food, Poor Care"
The management is not polite. The nursing assistants are often on their phones instead of paying attention to the elderly people, who are just sitting or sleeping. There’s hardly anything fun to do. There are piles of laundry soaked with urine, and the elderly have to sleep in beds that are wet. The food is really good, and the elderly have enough to eat, but I’m not sure if the food is always safe to eat.

"Care Home Struggles with Advanced Dementia Care"
Our family member stayed at the facility for a couple of months. During that time, we didn’t hear much about what was happening day-to-day. We mostly got phone calls when there was a big problem. Sometimes, we were caught by surprise because our family member’s memory problems got worse fast. In the end, the place had to let our family member go because they weren’t able to give the right kind of help.

"Community Denies Access, Continual Hospitalizations, and Unjust Charges"
I wasn't able to enter the place. Some of the issues I noticed included them sending my family member to the hospital over and over again. They wouldn't let me collect my loved one's things. They kept charging me as though my family member was still there. They said all the furniture was theirs.

"Insufficient Staff and Poor Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't have enough staff and your loved ones aren't getting the care they deserve. They're also really terrible at letting you know what's going on.

"Safe and Caring Assisted Living Near Home"
We picked Paramount because when I called and talked to the director, they said they could assess her and if she could walk, she could stay there. I was impressed with our conversation, and it was close to home. Until recently, they had no COVID cases at all, which is very rare in our state, so they were very careful with their safety rules and keeping residents safe. I would recommend them to others.
