"Disappointing Experience at Faulk Manor Assisted Living Facility"
Faulk Manor is getting fixed up, but they don't have enough workers and don't talk well with us. Even so, we chose it for my mom. She's in memory care. One time we called ahead to say we were eating lunch with her that day. When we got there, we told the staff we called, but they sat us in the wrong spot and then told us to leave because there wasn't enough food. That was really impolite. Another time, we took mom to a music thing on the 1st floor, but it got canceled because not enough people showed up.

"Caring Community with Fun Activities"
This place is nice. The staff faces some challenges, but they genuinely care about residents. They offer games, bingo, music, and more.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvements"
The place seemed a bit old and not so nice. They took us to see a house that wasn't finished yet, and the parking was really far for my mom.

"Mixed Feelings: Assisted Living Facility Review"
I like having my own cottage for my dogs. There's a dog park and a library nearby, which is cool. But some things bug me. They can't do stuff like check blood pressure. Activities are improving since COVID, but they're not great at keeping us informed. Also, they're not fixing up a porch we all use. They promise things but don't deliver on time. The food's boring, just chicken every night, with fancy names for basic stuff. We have a meeting to talk about issues, but nobody speaks up.

"Good tour, but preferred another facility's rooms"
Our family had a virtual tour. It was good and nothing bad stood out. But our loved one just liked the look and layout of the rooms more at another place.

"Better Than Expected, Great Communication!"
My parents are doing well as new residents here. Everything is much better than I expected. The staff communicates really well with our family. The place is clean, too. I would recommend this facility, but the price is a bit high.

"Poor Care and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
The place didn’t have anyone who could take care of my loved one properly. They didn’t notice an incident until hours later. The staff mishandled my loved one’s catheter, putting their health at risk. Communication between shifts was poor.

"Subpar Care Risks Health and Poor Communication!"
This place wasn't able to give the care my family member needed. There was an event where my relative got hurt and nobody found out until hours later. My relative's catheter wasn't handled rightly, putting their health in danger. The staff didn't talk to each other properly during shift changes.

"Some Bathroom Improvements Needed"
The room was nice, but I didn't think the bathroom was well-maintained. My friend lives in the assisted living unit, and I believe there's room for improvement.

"Mixed Feelings: Praise for Staff, Concerns on Pricing and Space"
I really like the people who work here. But soon we're moving my loved one because it costs too much. They said she could stay in the independent living, but then they put her in assisted living. That's twice as pricey, so we're going elsewhere. I wish they had a bigger room for the dementia day program. It's good for hanging out, but the space is cramped with lots of folks. Also, they need to get better at keeping in touch and following up.

"Research thoroughly before choosing this facility!"
Take the time to look into this place more. Chat with people who live there now, and even better, speak to their relatives. I would not let anyone I care about live here. This place used to be good a while back, but not anymore. They got new management and lots of new nursing staff keep coming and going. That should tell you everything you need to know!

"Dissatisfied with Facility's Ever-Changing Policies"
At first, the staff at the assisted living facility reassured me when my parents were getting checked in, stating that even when our money runs out, there would be medicaid to help. They promised me everything would work out just fine. However, only a few weeks later, they had to separate my parents into two different rooms because of my dad's dementia. Then they told me there's a waitlist for medicaid. I'm feeling really unhappy and frustrated with the sudden changes. Now, I have to look for other options for my parents.

"Friendly Staff, Questionable Care: Misinformation at Assisted Living Facility"
The people who work here are nice when visitors are around, but when they're alone with the patients, they are not too friendly. We were told false information by a health care worker. She said our family member was up and dressed, but then went back to bed. We figured out this wasn't true because of the timeline and the patient's health condition.

"A Happy Resident"
Foulk Manor North is a super community. I just moved in there and I'm having a great time. I live in one of the cottages in the independent living area. The staff is really friendly and fantastic. The food is amazing! The dining experience is awesome, with lots of different food options. The servers are great, and the dining room is well organized. They even have call lights available. The staff pays close attention to our needs. When I needed door handles in my cottage, they installed them before I moved in! The only downside is the lack of activities. Some people have complained that there aren't enough things to do for residents. Hopefully, they can fix that.

"Fantastic Facility with Great Staff and Beautiful Amenities!"
The staff here was really awesome! The secure entrance was a great plus. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The facility was lovely, and the rooms were very nice. There are lots of activities for the residents, and the amenities are modern. All-day dining is a real bonus. The cottage was perfect, but it was a bit of a walk to the dining area. They have a huge screened-in patio with beautiful furniture, which was a huge selling point for Mom. This facility is definitely one of the best we’ve seen!

"Mom's care at Foulk Manor was excellent."
My mom stayed at Foulk Manor North for about a year and a half in the memory care unit. The staff was truly wonderful. She was in a tough stage of dementia when she moved in, and I didn’t think she’d adjust well. But with the kindness and care from the staff, she adjusted surprisingly well. They treated her with respect and love until she passed in 2013. Though it was expensive, I felt it was worth every penny for the great care she received.

"Unwelcoming and Depressing Sanctuary"
This place wasn't great. It felt very much like a cold, unfeeling institution. The overall atmosphere was quite depressing, and to top it all off, the place had a pretty bad smell. Plus, the folks there weren't really welcoming.

"Foulk Manor North: Loud, Confusing, Not the Best Choice"
When I dropped by Foulk Manor North, I wasn't impressed. You'd see staff hollering down the hallways to each other, which was kinda loud and confusing. Their Alzheimer's unit? I didn't like how it was set up. It seemed all over the place-- kinda puzzling for someone dealing with Alzheimer's. It just didn't feel right for my family member.

"Keep Residents Engaged and Encourage Accomplishment"
This place tries to keep residents active and happy, helping them feel proud of what they do so they can get used to living here. It costs at least $4,950 a month, and they only take private pay. They also have a sister facility in Voorhees, NJ that accepts Medicaid after staying for two years.
